 Watch for YOKU. It's stock algorithm's favorite. Swings like a Ping. I would not be surprised if it goes up 40%.

By stock algorithm, i meant the trading robots. Inside the algorithm, there is a profit maximizing routine that gets triggered when the market is oscillating. It's a brute force approach to maximize profit and only a few high volume stocks are picked. I think YOKU is the current pick.

I want to quote Buffet here to make my point :
" Never invest in a business you cannot understand"

Stocks, forex, futures, options what we talk here take at least a year or 2 to be consistently profitable. It involves lot of study of materials and market. If u cannot invest 20 hours a week for at least 2 years and ready to loose some money before making some, stock market is not for u. Being successful in the market takes a lot of commitment. Think accordingly.

its basically liquidating shares for the shorts to cover imo ...pretty soon its gonna have  a Q on the back of the ticker and delisted...daytrade it for a couple of cents i guess..but I dont think the stock itself is worth anything

News too strong today though abt China cutting bank reserves by fifty percent  totally offsetting the S&P downgrades of banks from yesterday and rallying some more on top of that ..
JPM did not get downgraded instead it got upgraded...might be a good one for investors

I like to discount today's market run-up. Its more like run ups in YEN and SWISS FRANC after their central banks intervention.

My target of 1150s on S&P was achieved and had no expectation that market will have run-up this high. But still, i am short-biased and hope we should break last week low or at least test that in coming weeks. Till then, i will be looking for opportunities to sell. Keep an eye on 10 year treasury yields.....if it breaks lows of 1.60s, then we r in trouble. My belief is we dont break that low for now.

Guys, be careful going long unless u r day-trading. Wait and protect yr capital....opportunites will be there in the market....as always

S&p futures. I am not shorting anything but TTMI on individual stocks but think shorting oil stocks would be good idea as recent run up in oil needs a correction. Don't give up on yr shorts... It's time to make some money again ....

what did you think of Dow action today. Market is trying to break the 1260 wall for the third day now. It seems like market wants to correct but just not happening.

I think the rally is clearly overextended at this point and there is nothing really supporting this overextension as well... headlines about HOPES of a bazooka solution for europe...depending upon the summit Friday in Europe???...but there's still wednesday and thursday for a pullback

Europe is on a brink of a recession and S&P jst warned 15 nations from Europe of a credit rating downgrade


1265 is jst not breaking to the upside and today's candle on SPX was a more bearish candle than yesterday's and a tweezer top as well

I bet all the big guys are fully armed with their shorts by now esp. the financials
on the other hand(which I still think is unlikely)..if SPX breaks to the upside 1265+ with volume...then a massive short squeeze might push it further up ..good time for shorts to cut their losses and move on
today's action had to do with the bazooka solution news from Europe but it still did not break 1265 and pulled back EOD..if it was not for that news coming out of europe we would have seen a pullback today ..

MPEL prolly is a short on pops with 10 area as stops ..and add if 9.79 breaks to the downside

if it gaps up 10-20 cents in the premarket and it most probably will end up red for the day
(jst short term)
I dont really know abt options ..but longer term also the chart looks pretty bearish
