Oh come on guys, stop this infantile quibbling. Going solely by your posts on this thread, both of you are proving to be poor ambassadors of your respective schools. Sorry to say this, but you are both capable of making better contributions to this thread and Sajha than what you have just done in the last couple of hours. I personally do not participate in threads about schools as a matter of principle but have often enjoyed reading some of them. This thread was just starting to be fun. Oh well. Lastly, I know both your schools well enough to know that the vast majority of alumni from there would have a better handle on their emotions than what we just saw here. Sorry to butt in but just couldn't hold back anymore. Have a good day.

Haddock, I feel that a disrespect garners an answer that is equally fatal as the one received. I stood up for my school and no spadgie in my watch is gonna call us "chaatawalas" and get away with it without making them understand the history behind that (its basic jealousy towards those who still hold onto tradtions and values). hey, I tried reasoning it with him, but the bugger asked for it! wtf?? Somewhere in a post sometime ago, I revealed that I will not take disrespect sitting down. These idiots just can't take kindness for weakness! Thats all there is to it. Anyway, was enjoying the thread too until some smartazz goes around calling names! With that said, lets resume the fine discussion that were taking place before that tranny sursum corda showed up! Ciao.

Its always funny to see Nepali people always start insulting each others families when they start losing an argument. Moms becomes Randi, Pops become Rando if that not enough then the sisters become whores. If one is still losing the argument then comes out the faggot shit ? Its just sad to see this reoccuring amongst EDUCATED people of this community. IS THIS MENTALITY EVER GOING TO CHNAGE IN THE NEPALI COMMUNITY ?

BC..LIKE I SAID, IN CASE OF A DISRESPECT, I WILL STOOP DOWN TO THE LOWEST LEVEL TO GET BACK AT THESE IDIOTS!! I RESPECT PEOPLE FOR WHO THEY ARE BUT IF THEIR PUZZY AZZ EVER WANTS BEEF, I'D BE THE FIRST ONE TO GIVE IT TO THEM. YOU KNOW IT AS WELL AS ANYONE HERE IN SAJHA. This is me standing up for what I BELIEVE IN and no one can change that. Ya'll want me to stop this shit, then don't give me the same shit! Thats all there is.

That is not a good Buddhist Samsara. Have a lil humility, you do not have to respond to every mud slinging. If you stoop to that same level you just become one of them.

Samsara - I understand your sentiments but I could argue that you should be prepared for such needling, IMO, when there is such a broad based thread like this that encompasses a couple of dozen institutions. Such a thread by nature can be doomed if the people who come to it have no appetite for friendly needling. You might get pissed at me for saying this but I am going to say it anyways: what good is all that schooling if you haven't developed the mental and emotional tools to handle criticism in a way that doesn't involve exposing your raw underbelly? Criticism is something you face all along in life - if this is how you react when confronted with a thorny situation then good luck - because you will need loads of it. :) I prolly wouldn't be spending my time replying if it had been any body but you. Based on other conversations we have had, I genuinely like you (not that you could care I suppose) and feel there is so much you bring to Sajha. That is why it disappoints me when I see you indulging in such mindless bickering and, again you can hate me for saying this, making yourself look a bit hot-headed and frankly foolish in the process. You have too much of value to add here to be wasting your time with such stuff. That is the feedback of a well wisher. If you can, take it constructively. I don't mean to pontificate but that is genuinely the way I feel right now. Bathroom Coffee - Sometimes emotions just fly off the handle. Lets hope this was just a case of that and nothing more. Anyways, not sure if the thread can recover from the patch of bad taste resulting from the little spat, but last and not least, a big hello to everyone out there from all the schools in all the places that people on Sajha went to school - including those of Darjeeling district :D :)

Your constructive crticism is well taken, Haddock. Its just that I associate myself with the people with lil/no voice here in sajha. In this case, I took the Paulites who have always been looked at with jealousy by their counterparts in rival schools. So what if we're a "chatawalla", we still maintain out tradition of yore which all the other schools have forsaken…During the yesteryears, all British school-boys in Darj had to carry an umbrella (and this is a fact!!) as it was the "gentle-manly" thing to do but the tradition slowly died out as locals began to invade the exclusively white schools (and children of Indian administrators). BTW, I am proud of my upbringing and feel that any disrespect towards any of it constitutes that me being a man who learned and was raised by its system, be able to stand up for it. I wish it was more easy unlike this virutal webring, where we're able to physically knock some sense into the other person's head. However, I get what you're saying and thx for the constructive crticism! BC, aight, I agree you've got me here! BTW, the monks of the Xiaolin Temple were taught martial arts but they still maintained their red-robes and led a life of monkhood harming no living soul until someone attacked them/their value/religion, etc. Kindness is NOT weakness. In a similar scenario, I was raised at an institution and anyone attacking any part of it's values deserve a lil knock on the head. Anyway, I know it went a lil too far with Corda but am glad its over. Laterzz!!

Aviator, which school did you go to? BTW, This line of yours was mad hilarious, "I remember SAS boys coming to our school for basketball tournament & i also remember that their legs were comparatively whiter than our boys'es "! hahahahah Sorry for being a sexist but when I see your handle, I assume you are a guy. If so, damn, that's whack bro!! This ain't no gay forum! hahahah A similar story during the Golden jubliee basket ball tourney at SAS where we were sitting next to the SAS guys and NP was playing a game...NP was an elite team known for its star chinese players. An SAS guy sitting nect to me keeps staring at one of NP's chinese players and says, "usko philla hera ta bro, hamro ma bhae ko chinese haru bhanda seto rahechha." This statement cracked me up!! I will never ever forget that! hahaha BTW, came to SAS for the soccer too that year. We lost to SAS and the other game, the local referees handed the match to DGH. I remember us being so pissed that we were hurling abuses at the referees and spectators as our jeep rolled down the road as we left SAS. Also, the Paulite team was kept in class 2...After losing, I remember that we broke all the models, tore the charts made by the students! hahaha The next day, SAS complained to our Rector and at SPS a sound thrashing awaited us! hahahah

Golden Jubliee Basketball was always so fun for us for so many reasons: 1. Four days of continuous Basketball+ Holiday 2. Girls Enter the SASONIAN territory and hell we loved to hate our sister school SJC but cheer for St Helens, Darjeeling 3. Good food in hostel( we used to term it BADA KHANA) 4. The Primary building Basketball Court lights used to come on only for five or six nights a year. Three for practice and three in match time. I was kinda small then and used to get so excited. 5. And it was this time of the year that we got be witness to so many fights, within our guys and also inter school hahaha Pity that we stopped our Golden Jubliee Basketball Tournament after we got two new fathers (Principal and Vice Principal). Anyway our school was slowy going into serious debt and losing its reputation and they thought cutting on this and so many other tournaments would improve the condition of the school.

Sahayog, your main Basket-ball star during the Golden Jubilee tourney has always been a good friend of mine ever since we first competed in b'ball and athlectis back in da days...The kid used to be Fr. Paul's favorite...the one n only Thupten. BTW, heard that Fr. Paul went to some other school shortly after the 3rd/4th Golden Jubilee and has now built that school into a Basketball powerhouse (??). No offense, but coming from SP, your BADA KHANA we ate during the Golden Jubilee tournament sucked real bad...Our whole team had to go out and eat again (accompanied with a few rounds of booze at the small bazaar you have there in the main town). After that it was snooker for us at a dimly lit ghetto-style place. When we got back to SAS after dark. the dogs had been left out and we managed to gwt in but piss off the Fathers/Brothers with all our tantrums...They complained about everything: From the late-night episodes, wearing fancy clothes, drinking, destroying SAS property (Class 2's models, desks, charts/drawings) and abusing the referees and Brothers/Fathers, etc. Somewhere along the line, it was also mentioned that Paulites behaved worse than the Rockville guys!! hhahaahhaa Well, you know what happened then, Back in SPS, our Rector beat da shit outta us for tarnishing our institution's esteemed reputation. hahhahahhahah

bro yu are a lot senior than i am Yes i do remember thupten ..i just think he passed out the year after i joined ..i was in class five than .i still have'nt forgotten our power guys then, the Chamling bros, BK, Thupten, Victor, I forgot the name of that short Chinese guy that we had who could jump like anything. Haha did the dogs scare the hell out of yu..it was put so that we guys could not bunk the hostel at night..rex and rani were their names I dunno how Paulites were in basketball in your days but since i joined SAS ... they were hardly competetive and i do not remember them reaching the knockout stages anyway i know they are damn good in athletics and cricket not to forget the annual St. Paul Fest for ISC students ..they allways win that and this film called MAIN HOON NAA (Shahrukh Khan, Sushmita) was a blockbuster and was very popular among SASONIAN hostelers

hahahah the short and fast chinese guy was Steven Chang...Man, that kid could outrun a cheetah. Thank goodness my height put me in a differnt category from him during the Inter School Athletics. Yeah, yeah...rub it in...I knwo our B'ba;; team sucked then. We got trashed to pulp by all our competitors but in soccer, we had one of the btter teams. Unluckily, we were against SAS (the eventual champs) in the first round and we lost 3-2. Our next game was against DGH and we lost 1-0...I still say until today that the local referees handed the match to the Homes team. No wonder, we destroyed SAS property on leaving and showered abuses on the referees and teachers!! hahaha classic un-sportsmanship!! Main Hoon Na?? Now that movie didn't portray SPS correctly at all. The very next year after its release, SPS was flooded with applicants for admission who thought that SPS was a co-ed institution infested with model looking chicks and guys who resembled bollywood hearthtobs. hhahaha dhotis!! Talk about flase gimmicks!! hahah Now, to see SPS in its heyday without all the bull, watch "Mera Naam Joker" released 3 decades ago, where a young Rishi Kapoor ate\tends this esteemed institution. BTW, where are you??
