Can we have this conversation without using Nepal and Hinduism in the same sentence?

Good News for Nepalese who love to eat beef..
Soon we will have plenty of beef items in Nepalese resturents, at least with in 10 years.
Nepal is going to secular state and Miost are going to rule the country.
I met a Miost cadere long ago and he told me proudly that they eat beef.
So it seems no wonder for Nepalese who eat beef here...now Nepalse will at first learn to eat beef Momo. Bramins learnt to eat buffalo momo (traditionally they do not eat that) and soon learn to eat this new dish. Everything is hidden inside wrap of Momo...whatever...
So anybody has business plan to eastablish beef momo resturent in Nepal?

I personally think if you are a Hindu and follow the religion then you should not be eating BEEF. It's not about being a Nepali or not. Personally I believe that hurting and killing other animals only shows our barbarism. Today humans are not only hurting and killing other animals but even doing the same to it's own fellow humans. Moving on to the next level, here are some of my thoughts. Never mind if these don't make any sense to you! We have come a long way as humans, we feel pain for others, we express it and we take action to stop it; but we still have a long long way to go before we, as humans, realize our responsibility as the most intelligent animal in this planet and start living in peace and harmony with the nature. That day is not easy to come by, we should be much more advanced to maintain the balance. The world will be just perfect with the technology maintaining the law and order in the living society, balancing the number and varieties. In other words, there won't be any injustice to any living being. I believe that day humans will, finally, decipher why we are here.

I say let the nature run its course. Food chain... anyone heard of that?
One day the green veggies will be wiped out, replaced by fuel-crops, useful for cars and pigs and cattle. So the choice will be between bovines or swines for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Wait a second. Maybe our intelligent kind will have devised a way to make a four course dinner out of disposed microprocessors, cables and plastic.. by then. Or we might as well have wrestled each other to death, gladiator style.

I personally do not prefer eating beef to other choices. We have been silently cheated by American fast food restaurants. Those who do not at all eat beef, be careful when you dine out at the restaurants. In the fast food restaurants, they always use same furnace and pans and utensils to cook whatever you order. A person just before you orders "Beef", "Pork" and then is your turn to order your pure Chicken. You will eat traces of pork and beef in your chicken. Coz they do not replace or clean anything in the cooking oven or pans for your chicken dish ok. If you have ever eaten in the restaurant, then do not be fool saying "I don't eat beef". You may ask the server to change the gloves, but they will cook in the fit-for-all oven (beef-pork-chicken--whatever). The best way to avoid eating beef is not to eat at restaurants. Have we ever gone to the restaurants, then we are already contaminated with beef. Nepte

It is ok if you don't feel guitly about it. Feel guilty? Don't do it.
I eat it. I don't feel guilty. I can reconcile eating beef with my spirituality. There is no conflict.

Eating beef or choosing not to do so is the matter of personal preference. I don't think there is a "right" or "wrong" side to this. @sweta_shre and @_bored : I feel the same. I am proud of continuing some traditions that have been handed down to us over the ages but not eating beef isn't one of them.

I do not have any problems with vegetarians, but saying that killing animals for food is unnecessary is just a way to show your intolerance towards people who eat meat. I love to kill chickens for meat, chickens are stupid animals and their whole purpose of existence is to be food for humans. Eating beef is a matter of personal preference, I do eat it, I like it, and i have nothing to say against people who don't. Some people who commented above said that they respect people who don't eat beef, but I don't respect anyone just because they don't eat beef, there are a lot other things i should know about you before i respect you, and eating or not eating beef is not one of it, it's just a matter of your personal preference, being vegetarian, vegan, or eating all the meat you can, has nothing to do with sin.

if the whole world turns into vegetarian ...imagine how many people would be able to get food. Even with meat from different animals being served there are still not enough food to feed the whole earth. If you dont want to eat beef ... then dont eat... but why preach other people... you respect cow .... so you dont like people eating cow... what if I say I respect chicken ..will you give up eating chicken???

Hey guys, have you seen the cows over here, they look like demons, not the cow that we have in our country. So eating beef here is like killing the demons, as Mahakali did, so we are doing a favor by killing demons, so be proud of it.

Avaitor, I said I like to kill chickens for food, not to torment them just to watch them suffer, that is sick, and also, if somebody killed a cow, tormenting it,, and i go eat a hamburger, how is that supposed to make me look bad. You mentioned leech, if you love that leech so much, why not leave it under your shirt and see how it will love you back.

Ok, on that Leech part, I did not intend to say or imply that i hate them or love them, it's not the question of loving them or hating them, it's the way of nature, and nature is above all religions or cultures.

These traditional things we need to give up: 1. Caste system discrimination i.e. being born high caste does not make you the master 2. Sex discrimination, self explanatory 3. Food discrimination i.e. buff, beef, pork etc they are all equally delicious! 4. Hypocrisy
We have been following the above plus other bad traditions for centuries, it is time to give up NOW!!! May Peace Prevail.

may be trying to stop typing big bold letters to get your message thru....... should get some people started. I don't think unless you are a vegetarian you don't have the right to say which meat/animal you should be eating and which you should not. having said that, nepal ma yetti ko barsha basda Beef na khada pani bhako thiyo, nepali haru lai america lage ho aru kehi hoina. Peace.
