Top 10 Reason Why Prachanda was correct about Nepal Army

1) There is no eminent threat for Nepal from International forces
2) Nepal Army has killed lots of Nepalese other than Maoists abusing Human Rights
3) Nepal Army has raped and murdered numerous Nepalese Women
4) Nepal Army cadets are used by Journels and Kernels as worker for their house
5) Nepal Army has not been productive, it has been sitting in the Barracks without much work consuming all the scarce capital of the state
6) Even if there arises danger from any point it is incapable of retaliating back. It could not fight even the Maoists, forget about the Foreign forces.
7) Nepalese army accounts are so mismanaged that there is not transparency in the source of income from the UN Peace Keeping forces, all income goes into pocket of Journels and Kernels, Nepal as such does not benefit from it, nor do the army itself.
8) The structure of Nepalese army has been such that it totally favors feudalism, helps to be governed by Ranas and Thapas only
9) There is no sense of democratic sense in the Nepalese army, it is governed by 'Bhedatantra'
10) The army is responsible for the People of nepal not any person, it should act as a fear factor for the head of state if the head does anything wrong, People should be the first priority.

The army has commented its glorious past but it does not Justify its present structure, activities, policies and transparency.

PS. This is evaluation of Nepalese Army by itself only, the Maoist Army comparison has not been done. It is intended to evaluate Nepalese Army and the reason why army should be decreased in number. Please do not include comments about adding the Maoist Army in to Nepalese army.

Good time to Reevaluate Nepal Army. Recent incident in Durbar Marg proves that Nepal army is Rascal's Club. Prachanda was right to tell NA has done nothing but kill Nepalese and Rape Nepalese. It is more of a group of armed gundas paid by Nepalese government to serve some of the elite members of upper cast.

Please comment on why we need Nepalese army in the first place, it can neither protect Nepal nor can it do anything productive. It has been sucking the budget of Nepal to serve as cook, gardener and house builder of the Journels and Colonels of Army.

Some interesting things were that, more people returned home safely from maoist captivity than from Army captivity.

More than 50% killed were from the state side, not maoists.

Prachanda was wrong, ys NA was not involved in raping and killing. It was the mostly the high ranking army officers involved in such heinous crimes. So, we should kick out 90% of the officers.

Reality about Mercenary Nepali Army (MNA):

1. “Nepal Army Becoming Rascals Club”
–Becoming? When was it any different?
2. “The Army is a state institution.”
–Who says so? It’s a mercenary army that Nepalese rulers like Shahas and Ranas have been renting out for hefty fees. The Nepalese state pays for it but gets nothing in return.
3. “India doesn’t want army in Nepal.”
–Who says that? Nepalese Army is like a Gurkha Brigade of Indian Army. Nepalese pay for its upkeep but only Indians and their stooge king draw benefit from this mercenary force.
4. “if the parliament then Army followed their orders.”
–When was it that Nepalese Army followed the parliament? Army has been repeatedly used to arrest and dismiss prime ministers. But it ran away with tail between legs when it was employed against Maoists.
