Koirala unanimously nominated for PM's post

KATHMANDU, April 25 - The meeting of the seven-party alliance (SPA) on Tuesday unanimously nominated Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala for the post of The Prime Minister.

well well people,we nepalese never seem to be satisfied with any solution /oppurtunities, pessimism comes by birth to us, tell me one freaking arguement when all of us have showed some positive attitude, i am not saying we did not get screwed by our politicians, but back then democracy was in it' s infant stage, neither the polititians nor the people nor the government officials nor the judicial system knew how to run it smoothly,all of a sudden this free money mincing oppertunitywas presented and people grabbed it without realizing the mistakes they made and all of the sudden the country was in deep shit , well we the people had the right to check these polititians , but no even we took it for granted and we failed too , so ladies and gentle it's not the polititians or the king or the maoists thet screwed us, we as a whole country yes including you and me , we failed together, BIGTIME.

Now in the present situation , Girija 85 years old, family already rich and setteled , everyone know about them( their positive and negetive points) , has nothing to gain , he'll probably die in a couple of years so this is his last oppurtunity to redeem himself from his mistakes , people always get righteous in their last days , so maybe this time he will proove to be a leader other than a polititians, anyone ever thought of that .we have come to know a lot in the last decades, hopefully the polititians have also gained experience in running a democratic nation.

Hey i am just being a little positive, cause it's Hope that drives everyone isn't it.


P.S: by the way nepal developed more in the first 10 years of democracy than they did in the last 30 years of the kings rule,more roads were build, tourism was booming, more jobs were created, more villages got electrcity , we got freedom of speech, and we got scandles also because of that, which were always never heard of in the monarch days cause we had no right to speak against the king.

. Well shambu, I know Girija is 85 and I want to think positive but I don't see any reason to think positive. I wish that I'm wrong and everything you said is true but you know what I never tursted Girija and I never will. He fu(ked nepal and he is the main reason behind Maiost establishment. He has been PM of Nepal more than any leader and if wanted could have solved this problem long time ago but rather he became famous for Lauda air scandle and god know what else.
After all this so called janaandalon II what happens....Girija is PM AGAIN..and stupid nepali people are celebrating...Man I'm relly sick of this. The day democracy died.....

You might think the day was in 2017 or 2036 or Magh 19 or Asoj 18, no those were the days when democracy was sent to detention. Yesterday the day democracy got freed once again from Autocratic palace got killed by SPA's decision. Poor democracy could not even live long to clebrate her freedom, she had dreamt with her sons and daughters to establish better prosporous democratic republic of nepal. But 7 idiots who she always thought of her sons killed her on her day of freedom.

Yes I know you guys might be blame me for panicing a lot, or making a big fuss out of small thing. But I am not what message are SPA trying to send my electing unanimously a person who is most controversial, who is being investigated for corruption as PM. More than that who is autocrat himself and is trying to implement autocratic Koirala rule on NC party.

Reasons people gave why Girija should be PM
1) He stood against king alone, he most vocalist republican

- No he is not, he did not go into Deuba-UML govt because he did not get PM offer else he would have gone. He is not most vocal republican, he was reluctant to make Republic state as his party policy. He even tried to side line most vocal republicans like gagan thapa and nar hari

2) It is not person it road map that matter get over it

- No even person matters. First thing by making Girija PM you are already closing his under investigation corruption file. If its not person its road map that matters, then chose some one less controversial, with no current indictment or charges or investigations. There are leaders like Madav Nepal, Nar Hari Acharya, Narayan Man Bijhuche, Sasank Koirala, Mahesh Acharya, KP Oli, Mannindra Rijal

3) He is 85 years old, he fought for democracy whole life

- Oh ya what is the use of making 85 year old person a PM. Look for new generation leader with new thinking.


If Girija really wants to be remembered as true leader of democracy and wants to write his name in Nepal's history in golden letter, he should give up this PM post. Should pass it on to new leader. Else he will be know as nothing but a "hwaldar" in Nepal's history.

Why do we regards Ganesh Man Singh as "Father of Democracy"? Because he fought his whole life for democracy and never showed any hunger for power. His selfless interest was always to bring democracy in Nepal and see prosporous democratic Nepal. His goal was not to bring democracy and be PM and make corrupt Nepal.

I know most of the loktantrik fighters feel the same about Girija being PM, but are not expressing it because
- They it is too early to comment
- They are afraid raising this controversy might put democracy on stake again

But by not pointing at our first wrong step that is leading us back to same old chakrabiun, we are putting democracy at risk. If we fought for what was wrong in Autrocratic Monarchy, then we should point and fight for what is wrong step in Democratic SPA rule too

Prajatantra bro, you were one of the many people here in Sajha who were so blinded by the need of democracy that you called anyone who did not show any support to the present political leaders but were equally supportive of democrary, royalists. koirala is the same person because of whom one of the top member of lok sewa aayog resigned. Reason he said to girija you may be a primeminister. But lok sewa is the only unbaised organisation in nepal. And as you said we cannot recruit your member. we dont believe in your natawaad and kripawaad. the day when lok sewa becomes corrupt we will be finished. lok sewa is porbably only unbaised exam in nepal and if we make it biased sojha sajha janata le bholi dekhi k garera thulo hune sapana dekhne.
