I don't blame Lakers n Kobe fans rooting for Kobe to win the MVP. Deep inside they know he is not going to win it..... ya guys should be happy that he finally won the Scoring title he has coveted for so long ;) I have yet to hear about Kobe stats beside socring.... MVP is not about scoring, it's about the whole PACKAGE :p:p The only reason i have heard so far is that he is a kobe and he plays for Lakers and scored 81 points :=)

Agree wiht D_Burton....Kobe has been 1st tem defensive player, and 2nd team defensive player at worst....so, he does play on both sides of the court....and 1.84 steals per game this year......C'mon...Give some love to Kobe guys...As most of the sports Analyst, Kobe has been unfairly disliked because of what happened in Colorado, and how Shaq got out of Lakers....for more Money...Kobe had nothing to do it with man.....Shaq was still under contract when he demanded a trade...Kobe was not...! lakers ruled not rulez bro.. might wanna change that.. shaq left because they decided to sign kobe and not him for which i don't blame the organization.. kobe is still young.. well a lil bit younger than shaq... i think shaq won though.. he found a better home at Miami with the Flash where as kobe is alone with no one to help him... hes probably the best player in NBA but not the most valuable player.. you all know it...

Shaq left for more money....Period.. He was under contract when he demanded the trade. He was just disgruntled, and had plenty of ego problem to play with against Kobe...And, as an Organization, there was no way Shaq would get 30 + Mil a year for 5 years as a Laker...so, he end up signing 5 Yr, 100 Mil contract with Miami...which I think is overpaid....Shaq is already slowing down..despite losing 25 lbs....he might play 2 more years...with a huge IF.......

Last I checked, the best player usually end up winning the MVP......
