It is nice to see something different. Well not really, but nevertheless a welcome digress from other mundanely interesting threads. Well, I was about to post a picture of my room as well. But, I better not, for it tells a story of my life, a strong sense of delusion - each having its own story lays scattered all over. That is what happens when you have no choice, but to rest, and you go thru all the craps you never knew, or have already forgotten. It is as though Katrina struck my room before it hit New Orleans, completely destroying whatever little sanity my abode had. I do not blame Bush, Governor of NO (although it is she - they are too complicated for themselves, so who are we?), or the mayor for not being prepared. Can someone in fact be serious that we can actually be primed for a female disaster? Can they not simply accept that it was beyond any rational man to really be? Then came Rita. And people ask me what's in the name. How ironic! Now, do you think the Bush's government was actually prepared for her? Come on now. It was just that she was merciful. You-know, like a viper who just hisses to warn you. She would strike if she wants to, and guess what, she can. Don't be too sure though. Next time her sister Gita might as well destroy you. And you can do nothing about it. Nada. It is their world, and we, the men must overcome this illusion that we are if not better at least equal to them. I tell you what - the sooner you realize it, the better it is for us. For our sanity, peace of mind, and happiness in general, it is of paramount importance we accept the fact that we no longer have the might to pull if off anymore. Let us unite in the fact, accepting defeat to our deceivingly strong, and ruthlessly merciful counterparts. Just when you think you might have a chance to have one up, they drop the nuclear bomb; their trump card. Those tears. . .I hate god for creating those tears. I really do. And if he did, only men should have those. Anyways, we shed it every time, only it is not gooey, does not appear like a liquid and does not drop from our eyes frequently enough. It just is within us, accompanied with a strong predicament of "to be or not to be." Now I call upon all the mankind (men), to understand the fact that we are just a pawn in this game, where Katrinas and Ritas not only control the remote, but also own the main switch. Let us understand that we do not have a choice, and inevitable defeats are better accepted without any fight for a false sense of belief is like - a little knowledge which would eventually doom us. Le this be known, that there is no way we can, realistically speaking, survive arguing, talking sense, or nonsense, hoping against hope that they would show us some mercy. No Sir, they would not. We think we are strong, ha ha. . . a good delusion we have created to survive us thru our misery. Even in their tears they are telling us, "look at you asshole, you think you can win against me, you think you are strong, now TAKE THIS!"

Indiguise, Enjoyed your poem, here is from me :-) Time is right when we decide, There is no fixed date on our demise, Be prepared for the worst and ready to strike, When they come, they come with vengeance, Lay down their fury on whose on site, It's not you or me who they care, They just do what they do - devastate. They are forced by their own nature, So are we when we lack rationale, We give them advantage on our own existence, We even give them tools and act as fools for our own demise. When they come we hope joy will follow, Are we kidding in vain again? Joy and happiness is not anywhere, We need an attitude that we do not care, Katrinas and Ritas can come and go as they please, But be aware keep your heart where it belongs, Keep your blood flowing for you need it to persist!

Smoke pipe? Yes we can, We can even put our heads in the sand, Pretend that the Katrinas don't exist, But they do, they are every where, What do we do? Does it mean we are born to be ruined? Just as the nature has given Katrinas, it has given us the ability to quell it, Go to a place where hurricanes can only be heard not seen, Oh yes there are Katrinas and her sister everywhere but their strength is feeble, Even with all its strength they can not squall. You got the notion? It's more of a location rather than nature that dictates intensity of their calamity feature.

Everyone is talking about ritas and katrinas.....why not we talk about Ivan? Among the abundance female hurricanes, there are few male named calamity, who are as intense, destructive and merciless as ritas and katrinas. People still do remember the impact of Ivan, the hurricane. Cheers!

SriyaS....as far as I remember it wasn't as bad as katrina, but still had an impact...I still remember this broadcast in television...Despite warnings, the dad took his son out in the fierce weather to raft on the flooded bank......that sure made me laughed..:D Whenever I think of Ivan, it reminds of the Tsar ( I think that's how you spell) Ivan, the terrible.....Hence, Ivan and terrible synonyms for me..:D G'nite ya'll

Gulped some water- held it there, Didn't speak; labored thru what they had to say. Oh lord! You are merciful - two ears for a reason... ((Two ears, one to listen , another to throw it away) Ke milena k jasto bhayera feri, just for the heck of it.... --------------------------------- Moving on to ... Shiv, nice going. So it's all up to us eh'? Will come up with something soon. --------------------------------------------------------------- Flip flop, To compare Ivan with Katrina is like, comparing Maoists with Political parties or for that matter even king. O.k no political stuff, but, the point is Katrina was feisty and devastating, where as Ivan, as big a hurricane it was; nowhere close to it. So there you go! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SriyaS, twakka tukka dera nahasauna. Hahahaha. Humor is my addition. ;) I am fine being Indis. Bewitch seems to be hibernating, or, perhaps gathering enough venom so as to exterminate me with one strike. Frightening!!! Ha ha ha... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Vivien aka Ms. O'hara, agreed there needs to some sorta continuity, but lady, you seem to have mistaken me as a seasoned writer, which- I obviously am not, but I hope not to disappoint. Not being able to satisfy thee, I can live with; cause for thou to be disappoint, I can not. Generally speaking :) I shall try when my 'box' on top of my shoulder acts dysfunctional. And yes, it is ktm. You seem to focus on the physicality of my location/statement sweetie. The aroma I was referring to was more spiritual. Maan ko kaan le sunga sundari.;) and then it will be many things as well as that. Presto! IndisGuise:)

Damn! Maan ko naak le sunga sundari. Naak hunu parne ma kaan bhayecha. Hahahahaha ... I am losing it ;). Opsie daisy! did you say you happen to be less affluent in nepali? Am sure you can manage Ms. O'Hara. :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Highfly bro, Then there were those who would beat the male counter parts on gate crashing EDEN from Jasmine. It was quite popular for couples eh'? Quite and kinda secluded from the mainstream hangouts. What about Doon ppls? I was rather seasonal as well. Gaffadi haru ko ke kura garnu. I always felt like a toddler listenign to their anecdotes and what not. But good times though! One early morning, around eight of us had gone to Budanilkantha from Durbarmarg to get some kaya. In about 50 ho ki 100 Rs. we got a small plastic bag full of that. Charikot bata lyako re. You know tyo khet side tira. We just grabbed it with frivolity and headed to durbarmark where we had a seasonal place bhanam na. Sabai ghass nai ghasss... Didn't bother me much, but that was our Escoba deal gone kaput! Hahahahaha Well, at times we were literally tourists hunting for informations. ;) Basantapur ma pauthiyo ramro maal. What about Grasshoppers? They always had some. Always! IndisGuise:)

"SriyaS, twakka tukka dera nahasauna. Hahahaha. Humor is my ADDICTION. ;) Freaking typos! Hate fixing em'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What is reliable and what is not is up for debate. To each; their own perhaps? Have ya heard of this - What goes around, comes around. I wonder if that's true! ;) Since you said Gone with the wind... I almost feel it's all around; everywhere. I mean the wind. ;) IndisGuise:) P.S: Ignore freakin typos...

Hey Shiv bro, enjoyed your pieces... Here is my quick fix. So we pick the time, and our foe? Strike it hard from the get-go. Attitude aplenty; we don't care, Here is what I want to share. Katrina, Rita, Gita, Nita, or even a freaking Sita, Who gives a shit! Who are they? A freaking piece of meat!!! Is this the attitude; are we jelling? To myself; I kept on telling. But at times, Obdurate attitude; those who do not bend, One strike by the mighty and they break. I am a leaf, a solitary one; I get blown by the mighty ones. After all is said and done - this is what I've realized. . . Blow me, destroy me; devastate me oh Katrina(s); I stand serene a la leaf, a solitary leaf. But know this, When the calamity would cease; I shall still be there, of course to please ;) For no matter how hard their wrath is, I will still land the softest. Because I am leaf, a weak, feeble, solitary leaf. . .:) Re kya;) hahahaha IndisGuise:)

Highfly bro, ani tyo "naam nakhuleko kalo padartha" was also top quality Basantapur ko. I was low on those stuffs. Never craved for it. Just for the heck of it', ya know! But this thing called "Polin" which you find in Pokhara, especially Sarankot ma, hill top ma ke. It was mindblowing. Smoothhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... it's as though you are making love in a candle light, with a classic music playin in the backdrop; copulated with the sound of the rain drops hitting the mother earth. Slowlyyyy yet certainly.. it is a joyride! Are those doon folks alina's cafe people? IndisGuise:)

Yeah then there were people from Doon, DPS, Cambrain, although not large in numbers as those two you mentioned. It was as a melting pot though. And no bro, am not a baba. Hated to be in company with those who exceeded in herbal therapy for too long. Bar 'Polin', I can not recall enjoying any of those that much. I did, however excelled in compounding :) for some time. Never out of the bounds though, never. Never hardcore, i.e, poking and shit. I bet eone did something. Umerai tyasto tyo bela. Were you clean? hehehe;) Now, I am clean as a whistle though. Been ages... Any Pokhara folk can elaborate the magic of Polin. Chatta surye astaye pach. . . Sarankot bata chapki haru herdai jharnu maja ako ho. Dhanna mareko. Poem was my stab to respond to Shiv bro's effort. Am glad you enjoyed it. Keem em' coming. IndisGuise:)
