Here We go, NCAA footballl season kicked off just A week before the NFl did. We had already seen some major Upsets. Like the losses of Auburn Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners. there are some new and Exciting players as well as teams. Sure, Spurrier Dynasty part II had begun in USC. Urban Meyer is upto new adventues in Sunshine state. CHarlie Weis is trying to mimic the success of NE PAts in Notre Dame and T. Willlingham is up West in Washington. and Most Importantly Pete Caroll is going for 3peat just like the NE pats are in the NFl. Bring your stuffs here and lets get the NCAA season going. Good luck Go Texas (Go Sooners--- might not get to play in the BCS championship game because of the early loss and the past failures in back to back years. Still, they should give a good run.) jai Nepal ProudNepali

To Carnell Williams :P While this syndrome has no agreed upon medical name, it is sometimes referred to as "NFL/College Ball Game Fever". Here are the danger signs: You have more than one big screen TV. You record one game on the VCR while watching another. You argue with instant replays. Your beer bill during football season exceeds the family grocery bill. You need a day off work to recover if your team loses the game. You have a tee shirt with a sports logo not only for your favorite team, but for every team in the league. (Yes, hats count too.) If someone asks you a question, you do not answer until half time. The remote control button for ESPN is worn down to a nub. Your life ambition is to go for an entire season without missing a single game. You want to paint your house in your team?s colors. You bought a fridge for your den to keep the beer cool. You channel surf; you watch the game both on TV and on the Internet, or you watch more than one TV set at the same time. If someone says, How are you?" you say "Three points behind." You would rather watch football than eat. You think the Super Bowl is a national holiday. You can?t carry on a conversation without bringing up sports. You are offended when someone likes a different team and want to argue about which team is better. Your dog is named Peyton Manning. You only speak in sports lingo. You think being called a "sports fanatic" is a compliment. You hit the TV or yell at it when your team misses a play. Your three favorite things are: sacks, blitzes, and red dogs You can?t remember your spouse?s birthday or anniversary, but know the score of every game for the season and what teams played. And worst of all, when you make love, you yell "touchdown!" Now Stop the Roar Tigers/War Eagle crap and get back to work :P

Aight, Take it easy dude. Hey AX bro, are you waiting for the Huskers to beat Sooners :) ? Not seeing you throw any inputs is lil surprising :) Just a j/k :) Well, next couple of games are huge for the Huskers. Iowa state (#19) and Texas Tech, Big 12 rivals (#21) are formidable opponents . WIn against Iowa state might mean Top 25 ranking. By the way, The date with the Sooners are more than a mOnth away. Meanwhile the huskers shall enjoy the bye week. The Big games of this weekend to me are as follows: #21 Iowa at #8 Ohio State : Even with 2-1 record the Buckeyes are ranked 8th, and I think they deserve it. I am sure the highly talented Hawkeyes will make the Buckeyes work for every single yard. Colorado at #12 Miami : Maybe not a big game to rest of you and the rest of the world but still a big game for me. I have liked the Buffs for last 5 years, so this is a big game Indeed. The 'Canes are of course trying to prove that they can ONCe again DOminate the NCAA like they did few years ago. Boston College at Clemson : Both teams suffered bad losses last week. Both looked like the certain winnerss until the 4th qtrs and the OT dramas. #15 Georgia Tech at #4 Virginia Tech : The Yellow jackets can play Football too :) If they can continue the way they have been playing for last few weeks, the Hokies lead by Vick will have to play their best game as well. #16 Notre Dame at Washington : This is a BIG game. The Irish will try to put that heartbreaking loss from last week behind them and try to pull up a big win at the Huskies nation. While, Ty WIllingham is looking for a big win against the Team that Dumped him to find some Redemption. #14 Michigan at Wisconsin: The badgers are 3-0 themselves. And a victory means, top 20 ranking for them. While the Wolverines have their Own intentions of recovering and recovering very well from the loss to Irish not long ago. This shall be an interesting game. #1 USC at #24 Oregon: Despite USC being the highest ranked team in NCAA. Despite USC picked as favorite to win this game comfortably. ANd despite all the history. This is still One of the VERy HIGHLY anticipated game of the SEASON. Trojans do not have too many GOOD teams in their schedule. Playing Oregon on road is Regarded as one the "trap game." And like the pats in NFL, lots and lots of people want to see USC lose. that iNcludes me as well. (well i dont wanted to see the Pats lose, or say lose another game) MayOregon Upset USC! #10 Tennessee at #3 LSU: This is the Biggest Game of the weekend. OLd SEC rivals. Not only that but this game might BE a huge factor down the road when it comes to deciding on which teams shall play for SEC Title? And surely, this game shall have National Championship Implications as well. The Tigers are looking to RUle the NCAA whereas the Vols are trying to pull up a BIG Win after a very CLose loss against the Gators. Oh well.. another loss will mean Out of Top 25 for the Vols. Besides, #11 Purdue (2-0) at Minnesota (3-0), Arkansas at #20 alabama (sec Rivalry, Youngstown (3-0) at Pittsburgh (0-3, Dave Wannstedt looking for first win), #7 Georgia at Mississ. state (another trap game), and #9 Louisville at South Florida (Cardinals might be Utah from last year) are games to look for. The Tigers Got robbed by the Vols. What a second half performance by the Vols. Ainge out, CLausen In and boi the Vols have a new Ball game. I couldn't believe the Tigers got Gased out in their own home. The Tigers got away with that "Miraculous" 4th and Long TD pass in thier first game, however they were unable to stop the re-juvinated Vols. A great game for the VOls. Oh man the Louisville Cardinals got smoked By South Florida. That's the biggest flop of the week. Purdue and Michigan both went down. So much to the stupid Ratings. THE Clemson Tigers must be the Unluckiest football team in the nation. After a disheartening OT loss to the Miami Hurricanes, they lose again in another OT to BC eagles. God Bless CLemson. Dave Wannstedt got his first win of the season. Ty Willingham couldn't get his revenge. Oregon got me excited when they had the 13-3 lead early on but USC had the answers. What a performance by the Trojans to Blank Oregon. 13-45 the final score. amazing. the hokies totally "Murdered" the yellow Jackets. They are making their own statements as of who is the CHampionship contender? TCU must be the happiest of all to pull out a 51-50 triple OT win. Was it triple OT? Maybe not. Well BYU missed the extra point, the Snapper got a bad Toss and he had to Run around like a chicken with its head cut. ANother Great week of College football. jai Nepal Go Longhorns/Big12 Proudnepali

proud bro, there was no Huskers game so no reason for ranting here :D Cyclones vs Huskers will be a great game. It will decide which team will play with USC for the Rose Bowl. Wouldn't it be something that I get to watch Huskers in Rose Bowl ;) Notrde Dame Vs Purdue will be a great game. The game os the week is USC vs Arizona State. We will get to see how great of a Sun Devils defense.

LOL AX, I just like the Buffs but never thought they were a great team. I will be happy to see them win 8-9 games and if that means the Big 12 north division again, I will more than happily settle with that. WOWOWOWOOWOWO the Cyclone vs the C'Huskers will decide WHo will play in the Rose Bowl against???? Now that's funny. do yOu meant to say who will win the Big 12 north? lol. I won't mind a BIG 12 team play in the Rose bowl? Whether it be the huskers (lol), cyclones, aggies, longhorns etc..... USC at ASU is supposed to be a big game. It's the Fans aniticipation that makes this matchup a big one. 'cuz most of us are waiting to see the Trojans lose:) But that indeed is a big game. The bigger game I think will be the one played between #5 Florida @ #15 Alabama. Call it a factor that might affect the SEC title down the road or a factor that might affect the BCS rankings in the days to come. Or simply the good old SEC rivalry. I won't mind the IRish beat the boliermakers. Afterall, I am a Charlie Weis fan. However, those BoilerMakers are awfully tough. Their only the loss of the season came last week in the OT. Oh well having said that, the only the loss of the IRish also came against the Spartans in OT as well. Another Interesting Matchup will be up in Michigan. The ole in-state Rivals go ahead to yet again. Both teams are awfully good. Michigan couldn't live to their expectations this season. After suffering a Tough loss against the Irish they crushed Eastern Michigan 55-0 only to suffer yet another disheartening loss to the Badgers. While MSU Spartans had been playing better and better each week. I am seeing Drew Stanton in the Heisman Figures!!!! How in the world are The LSU tigers still Ranked #4, they are just 1-1 and couldn't protect the 18 pts lead?? I love that Football program but I was just surprised to see them keep their ranking. Oh welll I do wish them a VERY good season. By the way CU BUFFs lost to a very good football team (MIAMI) and away from home. Oh.. the score wasn't that bad. 23-3 lol Jai Nepal GO LOnghorns/Big 12 ProudPNepali

proud bro, who do you like USC vs ASU??? ASU stopped Huskers 26(???) winning record in 96 and so did the 3peat hope for Huskers. I believe Jake da Snake was the QB for ASU. I am hoping ASU will do the same with USC if they do. The appropriate name would be Arizona State Giant Killer :=) ASU got good passing offense but to win they need to play running game. will Faster ground will favor ASU??? we will see ASU- USC is a game of the week here's my prediction for Cyclone vs HUskers game Husker 20 - 15 Cyclones run ROSS run

Reason LSU still ranked #4 is, the pollsters did their rankings on Sunday morning while one game still has to be played out on Monday night that is Tennessee- LSU game. That is ironic in a sense that they could not wait one more day to finish their polling so that all Div 1 A games could be taken into account. Now the pollsters will have to evaluate LSU and Tennesse on two games instead of one. That's why LSU is still ranked #4 for at least till Saturday night. Seems like Les Miles will have a tough time in cajun nation. LSU is the toughest place to coach and he sure will not have the same backing from the administration as he had when he was in Oklahoma State Cowboys. I have never seen a rowdy fans like one in the Death Valley and I am sure they will be asking for new coach if LSU do not win the SEC CG. And with all loaded talents that Nick Saban left behind, there is absolutely no excuse for them not to win the SEC this year. For me the game of the Week is USC vs ASU as well as Bama Vs Florida. Hope we will give ol' ball coach taste of his own medicine in front of 88,000 fans at Jordan-Hare. Can't wait to count how many times Spurrier tosses that visor. I am for sure will be counting!! Hey Bro, ASU is Ranked #14 for a reason. I will be really Happy and of course surprised if they get to beat the Trojans this weekend. I also think the Sun Devils are for real. They have won their games convincgly. Their only the loss of the season was against the LSU tigers and that was a close game too (35-31). And oh yeah, who can forget that Miraculous TD throw by RUSSEll on 4th and long?? In order to beat the Trojans the SUn Devils need to Score early, get the crowd going and then try to control the CLOCK. Having said that the Trojans are a Complete team. Orgeon really disappoineted me last weekend. They couldn't work on their early lead and got shut down after scoring 13 pts early on. As of who do I think will this game?? That's a bad question to answer. MY heart is with the SUNdevils but my BRain is with the Trojans. As you pointed out (AX), may ASU repeat the history again. Thanks for the input Carnell. I waited for the Rankings to Change but it didn't change at all. So, I was bit surprised. Maybe we have to wait a week longer to get the more accurate rankings. While I am sorry for Les Miles and his Tigers, I think other teams with 4-0 records deserved better rankings. The LSU tigers season really looks in a jeopardy. Not only did their So good looking defense allowed 31 pts to ASU in the season opener, they also ran out of gas in the second half against the VOls. That is quiet unusual about the Tigers in recent memories. I believe a low-scoring clock control game favors the Tigers. Even though I trust in Les Miles to make some adjustments and get that vastly talented Tigers back on track, I have to admit that LSU has to COME a long way if they desire to win second national championship in 3 years. jai Nepal Go Longhors/big12 Proudnepali

HEy AX, Did you Mean to Say "You have been Rooting for ANy teams that play against USC?" I assume you wanted to see USC lose but your last posting sounds different than your other posts. SUn DEVILS got a very good GRound Games. Herring and Burgess had shared the GRound attacks for 6TDS in 4 games. They average over 150 yards on ground. WHich is very reasonable. But their Offense depends on Passing game. Sam keller (I might have his first name wrong), been Passing really good. If I throw the Numbes here HE might LOOK like Heisman LOCKED. That's funny cuz he had thrown for 16 TDS and just 2 Ints in 4 games played so far. I think one of those INTS came agains the LSU Tigers. That game where LSU won by virtue of scoring a TD ON 4th and LONG in the last minute. By the way ASU dropped 31 points against LSU and lost 31-35. Other oPponents hadn't been really great so ASU had been blowing them. But I have watched couple of ASU games (one agaisnt LSU and another gainst TEMPLE) so far and they looked great. Their defense is Good but not that great. I like the way they balance their RUnning and Passing game. I am sure ASU can put up some POints on the board. My concern is, Can they Stop USC from scoring more?? I will say 35% chance of ASU winning this game :) jai Nepal Go Longhorns/Big12 ProudNepali

Great news for Huskers fans like me. They are 4-0 after beating Iowa State. Huskers is the only unbeaten team in Big 12 North division :) It surely seems they have abandoned running game and adopted west coast offense. In last game, they threw 55 times while attempted run only 25 times. I don't understand Calahan dude, he needs to be more creative so Ross can have more running attempts. Next Ahman Green??? It was disappointed not to see Huskers in top 25 ranking. and What's up with USC. They won it again. I was sooooooo excited till half time? Is Pete Carroll that good coach, I have never seen a coach who can adjust his team like he does. I am surprised that such a great coach didn't succeed in NFL. It seems he is NFL seems there is no competition in College Football level ;) Notre Dame and Badgers looks pretty good teams??
