Over the past week, there have been lot of anti King sentiments regarding his 'takeover'. There's been a big hue and cry about loss of democracy in Nepal.

We've seen democracy and what has it given us? Nothing. It's made the situation in Nepal worse day by day to the point that there was not even a glimmer of hope for Nepal or Nepalese.

The only hope for Nepal was for a powerful leader to stand up and take charge; and the King has done exactly that. Nepal cannot stand more bickering of these incompetent and corrupted politicians who are killing the soul of mother Nepal little by little.

We wanted democracy because that was in fashion. We tried it out, and we know that it does not work. Democracy is good for a country with a strong foundations and infrastructures in order to provide a good governance. But, for a country like Nepal without any foundations nor infrastructures, the hue and cry for Democracy is like trying to add floors after floors to a house with cracked foundations.

In a country where more than half the population does not even know the definition of Democracy - democracy is only a tool for the select few involved in politics - to show dissent towards the governing body - in order to fulfill their own little projects on the side. Nepal is not ready for democracy. Nepal will be ready when we have a strong foundation and infrastructure.

At this point who can create this foundation and infrastructure? Can the maoists do this with their killing spree and disrespect for life? Can the different political parties even make any difference - while being busy trying to cash in on their 15 minutes of power? The answer is NOBODY can do it besides the KING.

The king is human, he's made mistakes in the past. His son is not the ideal kind of person that we would like him to be. But, if you don't believe that this move by the KING creates some kind of HOPE for NEPAL, then you need to rethink your position and rethink what is good for NEPAL and the Nepali. This is the only hope that Nepal has in order to get out of the mess it's in right now. Instead of creating hurdles and creating more difficulty for the King, it's time for all of us to come together and lend a helping hand so that the King is able to do what he's set out to do. Let him get rid of all the corrupt politicians - we don't need them. Let him try to bring some highly awaited peace in Nepal - because he's the only person who has the ability to do so.

There are no other alternatives. I've seen people go into fanciful episodes of describing their utopias. But, they need to come down to earth and understand that their utopias are just a figment of their imaginations. This is reality. Only the King is capable of doing what needs to be done, and he needs us to be behind him not against him.

One of the most important undertaking for the King right now would be to build an EAST to WEST highway in Nepal that connects Nepal as a whole. In this emergency rule, he should be able to direct a chunk of the coffers and aids and the property of corrupted politicians into this project.

... to be continued

Confused,

"Pade, just read Nepal's history, Rana Sasan, and Panchyat Kal wud be enough. These Kings and Ranas, have destroyed the country enough, creating fear, uncertainty and making nepali janta hopeless, like today, who say they have no option but to choose Autocratic Rule"

Nepal ko history ko ta ta thaha cha :-)

POLTICAL SCIENCE ko A, B, C, D sikaune kitab khojeko maile. Ekdum fundamental stuffs haru ko explaination lucidly gareko kitab.

"Age is of importance in politics. Have you seen an 18 yr old politician?"
-SAROJ

WHEN GANDHI DECIDED TO FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE INDIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA - He was 21 or 22 years old at that time.

WHEN ABBY LINCOLN MADE HIS FIRST POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT, he was all of 23 years old.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS WILLIAM PITT "He made his first speech in the House of Commons on 26th February, 1781. William Pitt had been well trained and afterwards, Lord North, the prime minister, described it as the "best speech" that he had ever heard." He was 22 years old.

"At the age of only twenty-four, Pitt became Britain's youngest prime minister."

So, what do u say now Saroj?????

Hi Pade queen thanks for your examples of 20 plus politicians but I still am yet to see a 18 yr old politician. Granted that a 16 yr old can be a math genius or a super whiz brain power, but politics is a totally different game where your experience, maturity and social skills are important.

Media plays an important part in any governance. Previously, when we had suppossed freedom in media, it was in fact playing against the government by creating a sense of Maoist infiltration in the whole country. Even closet maoists were getting encouraged by reading news of Maoist successes outside of Nepal. News like '300 students kidnapped...', 'Police shot dead in ktm... ' , and things like that. These news actually encourage the maoists. For any leader to be effective in a situation like this, he has to be strong and be able to be in control of the media.

Saroj, you have really identified yourself as an idiot, have you not?

You cannot just turn 18 and be the president of Russia or Give a speech on House of commons...if they were in their early 20's achieving such heights, can you not think beyound, THEY SUD HAVE STARTED THINKING ABT POLITICS IN REAL EARLY AGE, even before they turned 18..and for you, no matter what age you are now, you cannot even think of what they had thought on their young age.

DAMN! this is the real problem with you, cannot think and you tell me..height of idiocy.

Confused I like your discussion skills. When your points are proved dumb, you resort to name calling. But I understand your problem, you're just immature.

I guess you're immature to realize that political maturity is reached through experience. You can start thinking about politics when you're 18, but you don't reach a politically mature stage when you're 18 to be able to correctly analyze political situations, or make good political decisions. That's all I'm saying.

It's pathetic how you call my points dumb, when most of the other people in this thread agree to it. Grow up will you?

I think, the "Murti" and 'Gaida" Kanda as Confused brought up, were associated with Dhirendra not Gayanendra.

And Saroj, your point, "It's pathetic how you call my points dumb, when most of the other people in this thread agree to it," makes no sense. So if 10 people agree to a stupid idea, and 1 doesn't, does it make the idea less stupid? Not that I think what you have written here is any stupid, but just trying to see it from Confused point of view.

And Confused, like you do not agree to King's move and Saroj's points, what do you think would have been the best thing in the nepali politics right now? And please be practical here, and don't just put "your fantasy utopian political democratic government" views. Shouldn't the corrupt politicians be stripped off their power to loot the country? Should they have continued to rule, with a hope of finally bringing peace as per death of thousands more, or should the Maoists have been given chance to rule? What are your options, seriously? And again be practical, and try to understand the frustration of nepalese people on the situation of the country.

Hurray, thanks for pointing out confused's confusion regarding Gyanendra and Dhirendra.

"So if 10 people agree to a stupid idea, and 1 doesn't, does it make the idea less stupid?" - in a democracy which Confused is a proponent of, the majority votes for the right thing. Of course it can be wrong but if more people vote for it that's what works! :)

Hahahahaha...
Ongoing discussion aside...

""So if 10 people agree to a stupid idea, and 1 doesn't, does it make the idea less stupid?" - in a democracy which Confused is a proponent of, the majority votes for the right thing. Of course it can be wrong but if more people vote for it that's what works! :) "

---> Confused here is for democracy at any cost, and saroj for "controlled" democracy. (Maani liu hai feri :))
Saroj, don't you think making confused'd democracy ( feri maile confuse ko matra democracy bhaneko hoina hai) his vice as i.e, just becasue majority votes he is stupid
(which should not even be the subject here, we can simply disagree, can't we?), are you speaking for THAT democracy where majority rules? Or is it actually relevant only in this discussion?

Khai bujaunau garo... ek kissim ko hypocrisy bhayena ra? Hahaha

Anyways, as much as I believe that Gyane is a smuggler ( gaida kanda ta tha chaina tara murti and artifacts becheko chai Gyane ko Kandai Ho bhanera thokuwa ta garnu sakchu but can not furbish evidence. Sorry, you know it's impossible, but I believe we all know sometimes even in the lack of evidence, truth is apparent. ), power hungry, thug, daka, who sucks the blood aka resources by robbing tax payers hard earned money, which incidently he doesn't have to pay..................................Nevertheless, I also believe he is the best option/choice we have.

We have 3 choices

1) Chor, Daka, Garib Nepali le Paleko Dhani kukur RAJA
2) Chor Daka, Upiya jasto ragat chusera, 14 yrs ma 14 karod ko average ma nepali lai luteko, thug, with no vision and no understanding on 21st needs and no leadership skill. In short hopeless.
3) Maoist... the less said the better. But let me just give you a little hindsight. A thug, murderer, daka, inhuman, who will not only suck ur blood but also eat your bone marrow with pleasure, and all are moda fawkers, to be POLITE.

Take your pick.

Aru tyai ho..
May god be with us, hopefully our deceitful king will actually do something. Yetti bhandai mero dui paisa.....

IndisGuise:)

P.S: Maarta kya na karta aka Nepali janta.

soroj, just trying to explain the meaning of dictatorship in a way YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND, in this Panche Rule. And ofcoure, now they cant even Print, " PARAS CHOR DAKA", in the newspaper, or have MAHA JODI make fun of Paras and his KAlo karttut, openly...at least they did that on 14 yrs of democracy ..:)

and ofcouse, above situation is not made up, RANA Sasan, did commit such act. I urge you to look up on Nepal's History books.

Indisguise what is the difference between #1 #2 and #3??? They all have made us ill..and the last thing i wud go for is being RULED BY SOME ROYAL BORN LEADER. Ofcourse, we need a fresh start, a fresh REPUBLIC NATION..(<

"WHEN GANDHI DECIDED TO FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE INDIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA - He was 21 or 22 years old at that time. "

Absolutely wrong, I don't consider M. Gandhi as an active politician, like me, other than PQN1 some ppl may consider as such. He was freedom fighter. At his early 20s he worked for the rights of ethnic Indian in SA and later started "SATYAGHRAHA" back home. He joined National Congress not for the politics but to give life to his movement.

I think like average nepali and myself, Saroj do honour democracy as well but you guys should understand, he is talkin about the plight of Nepal and Nepali in the name of democracy. The question is not about either democracy is good for Nepal or bad for Nepal, it is - Is Nepal good enough for Democracy or not? Democracy can be brought into action when citizen of Nepal is common agenda for our politician, when law and order mean something to every single individual. We should accept the fact that we don't have something to materialize the democracy.

And Confuse, if I happen to bring down your own poster you will be amaze by your own double standard (my apology if I had said anything wrong). Actually I had always enjoyed reading ur poster on different occassion. You were among the my fav Sajhaties. Don't take it otherwise.

Confuse, You keep changing your views, may be after every dusk and dawn. Anyway if I were to answer your question about "communication blackout" - That is how it work under such circumstances. If such action hadn't been taken we would have seen Kathmandu and some other major cities turned into ashes. Imagine you and I were Neta, and we were not been under arrest and our phones had dial tone - what we had done? I guess I answered your question as ISO did. I am just trying to elaborate.

Confuse, somewhere I had read "If somebody have good car and one homeless ask for that car, would you give it to the homeless?" - I think question was kinda like that from your side- FYI - Big NO. But you should give him the way to live. You should at least give a piece bread and a spoon of butter. Do you know gap of living standard in Nepal after restoration of democracy? When more than half hardly could afford bread ,other half who was with Neta were driving Pajero. I am not throwing this in air.

"think, the "Murti" and 'Gaida" Kanda as Confused brought up, were associated with Dhirendra not Gayanendra. "

Hurray, i am fairly sure it was Gyanendra, I also know some ppl personally who ran out of country, to save themselves. Now Gyanendra is back in power, I guess they are back in the country :)

ANyways, Be it Dhinrendra or Gyanendra, we do know he has commited some severe bussiness crimes, and the list of issues with ppl, threatning ppl, and harashing women, feeding gangs, is on and on. And ofcourse he passed it thru his genes.

What amaze me was most Sajhaties are still bias and are trying to blackout the fact what they had seen or experienced in 14 years of infant-democracy. Look we believe our Neta when they call Democracy an Infant-Democracy. We were in illusion, these moran had put us into a dark. Democracy was merely a sweet dream for us. Anyway MAHA JODI can't make fun of Raja and Rajuata. Tara pahile openly Neta ko kartut agadai lyauda ni HAMILE K NAPYOU TA? Ani Confused bro timile chai K GARYOU NI?

There was nothing wrong with Democracy. And would have we benifited from democracy today we wouldn't have force to accept Autocracy. Everybody talks about how was Gyane and how was Paras. Fine they are not good, then who is good, except for we Sajhaties? We have seen the other side of the world so we think ourselves the best scholars than anybody else cause most of us have read about "Democracy" written in the best seller. What about 10s of millions of people- What is democracy for them? Is it Girija, is it Makune or is it Maoist. Its hard to define: Democracy itself is immaterial and they are force to matarialize with all above figures. Thats why most of the citizen are happy not because KG get into power but days of those moron fianlly end.

Somewhere in the forum I read Newuser posters, it was interesting to read (if I hadn't seen true Nepal from Purba Mechi to Paschim Mahakali during our democratic era) . And again he pleaded all of us to make rational comments (unbias) finally he himself was irrational. What an irony.

I am not against Democracy neither I support autocratic rule. But I consider myself being force to accept the current move by KG. This is situation not by KG but brought by our Neta. Let me put my so called rational comments as did by NEWUSER (If I am wrong somewhere you guys correct me) to elaborate more.
