Monthly Income (After Tax)------> ($1100*2)= $ 2200
=============================================
Expenses::

Rent-----------------------------------> - $550
Car Payment------------------------> - $300
Insurance----------------------------> - $75
Food/Grocery------------------------> - $200
Gas-------------------------------------> - $100
Miscellaneous-----------------------> - $100

Total Expenses (Montly)------------> $ 1,325

Total Savings (Monthly)========> $ 875
or NRs. 63,000 per month.

I commend people's successes, but it seems like a lot of people follow the motto

Why do us Nepalis insist on having the most lavish lifestyles even if it means we don't have any savings in the end? It's an important question we must ask ourselves.

Sour grapes, people?  Bout of jealousy?  Or just plain ole malice?

Believe it or not, there are Nepalis who are squarely in middle class America and are making good income.  And there is no reason why you too cannot make good money, if you are not doing so already.  As I said earlier: stay in school, graduate, get a job, put 10 years or so of experience below your belt, and most likely than not, you will be making pretty good salary.  Despite all the cynicism out there, I still believe that if you work hard and smart, you will do well in this country.

So, don't feel bad.  If you think those people above are making good money, take that as an inspiration to earn more yourself.

Nobody talks about their incomes like Nepalis. I never seen one American ask someone elses salary or divulge it. It's either miserable Nepali who asks about others salary because he is miserable about his income or by a show off who wants to show off how much he's making to others.

Bottom line, Nepalis are big show offs.
