Hello friends, just today im back from one of the most beautiful countries. This was my 4th trip of the year and perhaps the best. I was pretty amazed with the lifestyle, funny accent, men in frock, bagpiper,  culture, whiskey, highlands, low lands and everything of this wonderful country.

So, as usual, im eager to share my experience with SAJAH friends through pictures. Please mind, im not a good photographer and I used ordinary 4.00 megapixel  camera without powerful zoom so, please donot expect great snaps.

The country was SCOTLAND, part of Great Britain/ the United Kingdom (GB or UK consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). Its half of size of Nepal and  5.1 million population.

Edinburgh, the city of castle is capital city and Glasgow is the biggest city of country. Im writin this so that u could enjoy more with the pictures :-)

So here we go Scotland :-)

--I wd be only happy if u drop few words after viewing this thread--

जाँदा जाँदै यो मलाई मन पर्ने मिठो गीत.---  for those who believe 'we meet to depart and depart to meet'

आदमी मुसाफिर है, आता है जाता है
आते जाते रास्ते मे, यादे छोड जाता है....

Sorry to say but I sense something fishy in your pictures bro! First, you start with saying 4th trip of the year, fine! It's just the end of June and 4 trips in 6 months? Doesn't it sound little too much? Especially if you were a student going to college from January until May before the summer started, if you are in USA.. or even anywhere in Europe?

Second, I watched all these wall clocks carefully..both of them that you have posted. In the first picture, you said the time in Kathmandu clock was 5:50 and that the time in Edinburgh was 10:45. Remember, during the summer, I mean around this time of the year, when its 5:50 in Nepal, the Edinburgh time will be 11:05. So, you are pretty confused even when you make up the story. Next, look at these clocks..how can it be 4:40 in New York when it's 5:50 in Kathmandu at this time of the year? Get deeper, how can it be 4:48 in Los Angeles when it's 4:40 in New york? And in your second picture of the clocks, the Kathmandu clock moved and is showing about 6:30, and the Edinburgh clock is still stopping at 10:45; how is it possible? You mean to say the Scottish people are so poor that they would rather use a functioning battery for Kathmandu clock and would use a completely drained off battery for the Edinburgh clock, that is, for the clock of their own country? I think that usually happens in the reception/lobby of some 2 star hotels in our own Kathmandu, where only the Kathmandu clock functions properly.

What I feel is, you collected these pictures somehow and presented an arrogant story here trying to fool us with your 4TH TRIP OF THIS YEAR (IN 6 MONTHS). My perception is, when the clock pictures were taken, it was still 6:30 in Kathmandu and in the first picture you decieved yourself with the second-arm of the clock with the minute-arm when presenting us with a fake story. It becomes obvious if you look carefully the second picture of the clocks. In the first one, the zoom was poor, and the second arm, which is at :50 seemed like the minute arm to your eyes and you failed to visualize the hour arm properly. So if you omit the hour arm for Kathmandu clock in your second picture, it would feel like 5:50.

wow Amazing!

I am thrilled to see Edinburgh, stayed there for 3 yrs and those streets are pretty much familiar. i hope you had fun there did you to Portobello beach, and also Ocean Terminal to visit the Queen's Brittania. That was a pretty cool place to hang out. And of caz the majestic edinburgh castle, Prices street. All with very cool view, hopefully the weather did not cause you much trouble.

If you do have, continnue to post more pictures.

- Absolutely, no doubt abt that,  its my 4th trip, what can I do if it doesnt make sense but thats the truth. You will be even astonished if I say Scotland was the 7th country Ive visited in this very year. Im a rich guy ..re kya
.... no man, its hard to travel as a poor student but I know how to travel cheap. And im doin justice to my studies, not bad student either..do I have to give all the details  including flight details and hotels?
-------
Next about Clock thing, its good that u ve done extensive research on that, I just clicked the pictures in hostel.  I ddnt care abt timings, but if u think clock r not givin right time, please feel free to contact hostel staff, they wd be happy. its website ( http://www.smartcityhostels.com/home.html) by the way, even Kathmandu's spelling was not correct (Katmandu). Ive taken many pictures of the clocks (around 7-8) if u want please shoot me mail, will forward those for you.

-- If u can prove those pictures were taken by someone else, (Just give me small hint)  Im ready for any kind of punishment.  Fooling is not my business, sorry Im not in Rajniti....

Anything else??

Anyway, thanks a lot for viewing pictures and dropping comments. Please, dont get FAINT when I say my 12th trip (in the end of this year)

Amazing, nice..

I guess people in USA find hard to believe that you travelled so much! Thats the difference between Europe and the US. The limiting factor is time (not money) to travel here and there in Europe (probably except UK). Unbelievable public transportation infrastructure makes it possible. In Europe people work less and enjoy more and making holiday is the right or necessary annual routine for most of the people. The Clock timings are funny and I bet these are more show pieces than informative one!

I can guess from your 4 trip in 6 month that your planned stay in Europe is not so long. Its just Syangjali guess...!! I just was curious to know about your previous cruise/boat trip between Helsinki-Sweden. I saw in the site that tickets are not so expensive. Does the journey ticket include bed in the cabin or its just "sit or dance in the Disco" for the whole night and have to pay more for cabin? Any hint for the Cruise travel in Scandy?

Have fun

Ive lived both in U.S and Europe, the diff is that Europeans like to travel mostly to european countries, africa and asia on their vacation, since they get atleast 5 weeks of vacation a yr.People in U.S prefer to travel within the states.PandaG s rt, publc transportation in Europe is so much better n cheaper, lookin forward to go to edinburgh, heard its really really nice.thanks for the pics

Aviator, crush re!! tyo pani Sir sanga? Launa ni:-) your friend must be brave enough.
----
PandaG, yep u r right brother. Ppl in Europe work less and enjoy (at least try to) more. But i guess that mainly applies to nationals of countries, first generation immigrant's life is more or less same either in US or Europe. They have to work hard to  fulfill personal as well as family's commitments. And as Teena said Europe is a small continent and its very easy to travel within, u just plan today and pack your bag, the most important thing is Schengen scheme (No visa required within 27 European states). Public transportation,  no doubt is first class. At the same, i think ppl do travel a lot even in US, in my opinion goin from one state to another is just like visitin new country in Europe.

About Stockholm-Helsinki cruise, yep bro its cheap but it can even  bunbelievably cheaper if u do it in advance. If u book cabin (4 beds generally) u can do whatever u want there (got my point LOL). These days im getting really lousy, very soon Ive to recharge that thread:-) thanks for remindin.

I think Teena might throw some lights on this issue as well,

Ha en bra dag Teena :-)

Got whole day bus ticket (2.5 pounds) thats pretty cheap, isnt it?. Traveled for more than 4 hours...the real MAZZA to explore city.. finally I caught bus no 42 randomly and ended up in this beautiful place.

Sat on this bench for whole 3 hours, mann bhari k k kura khelyo sadhya chhaina:-)
