I heard that there is a presidental election for nepal society (on dasain party) in Irving. Do you guys know who are the candidates?

Momo Dai is nice guy. In ANA convention in Dallas there was big demand of Mo:Mo. He was almost out of it. He thought that every one need to taste mo:mo but he didn't have stocks. He raised the price to $10 from $4, so every body bought Quarter Plate. That way, every body did have chance to taste momo. He was very famous during that time and everyone in USA knows him since than.

Last month I went to taste momo in his "Dukan" later on I went through "Jhada Pakhala". I went to complain, he gave me some Imodium. I am so impressed with his customer service. Later on I came home and try to take Imodium and checked the label. I found out that the medicine was expired long ago.

I wish him good luck for his interest in presidency.

I don't know this "MOMO Dai," but the reasons you guys are giving him for not liking him are all childish.
So what he hiked up the price of momo to $10 from $4? You guys would have been happy if it was for free. I am sure he didn't force anyone to have his momo for $10. Each one of you had the option to not to buy his MOMOs. If no one had bought them, he would have been at a loss--not you. So, no reason blaiming him for increasing the price. Same with the price of rice too. If you want to buy something at a cheaper price, you will have to do some work yourlsef.

The only thing that I get from the fact that he gave you some sort of medicine after you went there with your problem tells me that he was just trying to help you. Afterall, you should have known better where to go when you get sick. I don't see any reason for blaming the guy for giving you an expired medicine. Which MOMO pasal gives you medicine anyway?

Momo dai is I lyke I lyke

This Nepali dai doing business here in our community has served and helped a lot of us. His business spot has been a place where many of us get some good time and different stuffs. There's no doubt that he's doing a great job serving the Nepali community in the DFW area and I also wish him the best for his quest for the presidency of the NST.

BUT, by the same token, was absolutely not right what he did during the ANA 2005 in Dallas. He certainly did not force anyone to buy his Momo then but had already sold coupons indicating that momos were $4 or $5/plate. Later, after momos coupons were sold, the price was raised to $10/plate. This was what many people did not like and admire about him. He should have honored his pledge to sell his stuff at the indicated price.

We all understand that if his prices are not to the level we expect, we always have other options: other options to go. He's a businessman afterall, so I do not blame him for that. But, it is not right to say something is right when it is not (as in the momo case).

Wow...I now understand why were they charging $5.00 when I voted last time. I was pissed at that time. Spent your gas money to go from Plano to Irving and still pay $5.00 to vote...I thought....was not fair....Now I know the money was towards the membersip...I am happy now
I don't know about past president but I was keen on what the current president was doing as I voted for him last time. I was impressed about how NST was/is doing under his wings....I am not telling just bcoz i voted for him...
Somebody said in earler thread that somebody else should be president to have a fresh start and Mr. Joshi should help the new one with his experience....That's very valid point too....But why fix it if it's not broken...Just my two cents hai saathi....you can agree and disagree with me....

It tooks you 2 years to understand why NST charge you $5.00 to vote this president (कुमाइ दाई) kumai dai.
It might take you 10 years to understand how good or bad this kumai dai (कुमाइ दाई) is doing in this community .

Who ever you are I respect you sir You might have a good relationship with him but when you talk about community ,I would say ,…you still don’t know, how worsen our society is getting. It’s all because of him gauri joshi huffs (कुमाइ दाई) kumai dai.

I also voted for him last time .This time I suggest him ;-Don’t even try cause You are not made for social worker.If we voted him again he will turn our society to his personal business company , And he might give you a job without paying you on that company.

It is easy to blame one without providing any concrete evidence (that the person being blammed is as bad as he is said). I think, if we say that some one has not done good or has not done what he/she was supposed to do, we better also provide proof supporting cliam or else it would be pretty much like Prachanda lying that some royalists are behind plots to kill foreigners and claiming that he has evidence of it, but eventually providing no proof and presenting himself as a big liar.

How many hunting have you done since you landed in DFW community? Can provide proof of corruption by current president? we all Nepalese from DFW will follow you to oust him and make you President. Otherwise you are big liar and bullshit. You have personal fight with current president so far from your posting tells.
