Deuba and his NC (D) cohorts are again creating instability in the Nepali politics. It seems like the 1990s redux. Deuba creates political chaos. That divides the mainstream parties and generates mis-trust with the Maoists. The Maoists go back to their business i.e. insurgency (attacking the army) and terrorism (killing innocent people, forcing donations etc). The Mandales conspire with the king and his RNA henchmen to appoint Deuba as the PM and ask him to do something he can't do with his limited legitimacy. Deuba, the dim-witted mid-western politician can't wait to be the PM not knowing that his mandata has come from the Mandales and not Nepali people and fails. The Mandale's use Deuba as the poster-boy of the failure of the mainstream parties to "fix the country" and grab power in the name of "saving the country from choas". What else would explain (1) Deuba's post-release inane opposition to 12-Point agreement (2) his insistence that Yadav be the Speaker of the House despite that fact that this NC(D) is a minor party in the SPA (3) his opposition to making RNA Nepal Army without the King as the C-in-C. May be Deuba is trying to position himself to the right of NC (Girija) but left of RPP but he is playing politics at this sensitive period Nepal's history. I am fearful that Deuba and NC(D) cohorts could create choas in the SPA and derail the path towards peaceful solution to the Maoist problem. It might be high-time to dump Deuba and NC (D) from SPA.

---------------------------------------------------------- deuba is the trojan horse that the palace had been employing to strengthen its position. he is the super agent of the palace ... and i'm not surprised. he was the one who gave a blank check to the palace and to the army, in effect underwriting Gyanendra's autocratic rule. it was during his PMship that the USA was able to grab a space to meddle in Nepal's internal affair. if he was fired from his PMship twice then that was quite possibly part of a grand design to which he himself had signed on. imprisonment of deuba - what an engineered farce!!!! people are right to be seriously suspicious of deuba's intentions, given his track record. making king the supreme commander of the army will be a big mistake!! it would not redress the shortcoming of the 2046 constitution that gave rise to the Maoist insurgency in the first place. does deuba really think that the people want to go back to the royal democracy of the post-2046 Nepal? he must be kidding! deuba's attempt to save the fallen king is really the last pistol shot of a dying man ... neither has any relevance to today's Nepal. deuba's party resides in pointlessness, because it actually behaves more like a RPP than a Girija-led Congress Party. now that the royal ministers and the royal heads of armed police, pradhan senani etc have been discredited, the palace will try to influence the outcome/political developments through the political parties - that of deuba's as well as of reactionary RPPs. the palace has got moles / agents inside these parties. by and by they, too, will join the chorus begun by deuba as per the principle of disclosure. they will expose themselves for who they really are - moles / agents of the palace. the line will once more be redrawn between those who are for loktantra with power vested in people, and those who want, as deuba clearly does, royal democracy. we now know which side Deuba is on as clear as daylight. --------------------------------------------------------

Deuba is not in my right lenses, but I was equally disturbed by the immature politicians who come out and tell their differences to the media. Are they not to leave what was discussed back in the room, they know how emotional are Nepali people but who cares. Now they starting shouting slogans against Sere, next will be Girija, Oli and .... Just decide, discuss with logics, try to convience or get convienced with common agenda in mind and go ahead, when will they learn to be above self.

Mr. Bodega, everyone has freedom of speech. However, Mr. Musha bahadur deuba is supposed to be representing people. At first he lobbied against the king, now he is lobbying for him. After the media reports, he's again denying it despite his interview supporting gyane at BBC radio. He is trying to create all kinds of problems to people's spirits of movement. Obviously, people like me will get mad at him; and people should protest more against musha bahadur deuba.

Vincent & ImI ji haru - Of course Deuba is free to speak his mind and he has. Unlike a month ago - when according to a royal ordinance, criticizing the king and the royal family was a felony - he has not been arrested for speaking his mind. If he has serious differences with the SPA he should resign from that body and agitate from outside and not be a nuisance/troublemaker in the government at this sensitive time of the country's history. The mode of operation for the SPA government is the 12-point agreement. Remember Deuba had once criticized it and only changed his mind after people from his own party forced him to. This time again he is belatedly changed his mind for the same reason. He went so far to say he wasn't advocating for the king when he clearly did (that's my interpretation) in a bbc interview yesterday. Deuba doesn't have too many political allies and he's probably thinking that doing the bidding for Moriaty-American agenda i.e. no to 12-point agreement and yes to almighty king might help him get back to the PM's seat. The BBC reports that within NC(D) party, there is serious opposition to Deuba's election to the parliamentary leader. Let's see if Deuba can survive the intra-party war. If he loses, it will be interesting to see how he'll position himself.

Kale Kishana , u are right .There are immature politicians .And can u trust Lilamani .After all they are the brothers of maoist. Gaule Hero, 12 point understanding is true and should be implemented but in due process.Deuba is not wrong saying that whoever it is there should be president or somebody else who is the head of the state and this point why doesn't these leaders think about how they are going to decide head of the state and ofcourse that person would be the head of the army. i am not saying king should be the head of the army.In republic style .lets choose somebody beside PM to head of the army. Well and its sad to see corrupt people like Gachedhar is barking again in will be heading the NC democarts .will honest leader ever get a chance??

n Nepali proverb said..... "Chor ko TuLo Shor...." Deuba eat Rs 50 Karod and Melamchi Drinking Water Project. He is not only common type criminal and corrupted crooks..... He destroyed peace, development, and help to create Maoist revolution. Dueba destroyed Nepal and Nepali reputation in international arena like World Bank, Asian Development Bank. Nobody trusts to Nepal and Nepali. Now who will help Nepal to build and who will give Loan to developed Nepal. Nobody..... So Deuba and his criminals and corrupted followers must be hanged in front of Public Park.

http://www.thehimalayantimes.com/fullstory.asp?filename=aFanata0sa3qzpga4Qa5qa.axamal&folder=aHaoamW&Name=Home&dtSiteDate=20060517 Lilamani seems to be upto something-He is fanning public emotions and any loss of life and property from here--who will take responsibility. Idiots, time to be wise and mature, but again we are used to the same saying "kati barsa kukur ko pucchar....thungro bhayo bango". It is hard times, any decision has to be made with possible implications in future, Girija ko hat ma army, oppositions sakhap parcha, Prachanda ko hat ma army, ke hune hola. There is something to be thoughful about, choose the president and let him be honerary, but again CA election is yet to be conducted, hence go for a wise transition with some clause and sub clauses to chek and balance, till we decide for good. And for God's sake stop the infighting and leg pulling, now is the real time for team work.
