Whether you are hindus , buddhist, christians or muslims, I think all the religion is trying to say the same thing that is be a good person. Don't harm the people. Have a good morale. Don't do the bad things. I think it is very bad idea to fight over religion. I don't know why people don't get it. So, when I pray, I pray all buddhists goddess and Gods like wihte tara, green tara, Buddha etc as well as I pray shiva parvati,agima,mankamana etc as well as I pray Jejus and Mohammad. So, please don't fight for religion but only thing I don't like is there are so many other religions in Nepal . Nepal declared as ONLY HINDU country of the world. May be from the point of view of hinduism it is okay but the other religions don't feel comfortable. I think they might feel they are forced to say hindus. I think it's better to take off only hindu country of the world. In India where Ram and Krishna were born they cannot even claim the hindu nation how can nepal claim the only hindu nation of the world. Just to bring peace and justice for every religion nepal needs to take off those 2 words.

4-5 thousand years back, there was no word called "Hinduism". Religion, "Dharma" was defined as TRUTH, Doing good deeds, helping helpless, gaining knowledge for the higher consciousness or to uplift the universe for the benefit of the people. Nor siva, Vishnu, Brahma was limited to particual group. Heck!! Hindu word came from the word "INDUS". You can relate it to INDUS civilization.

We can't define the HINDUISM, its present transformation from INDUS, since it is so so so vast, even scientists from the renowned university of states and other EU coutries cant answer about Hinduism. HINDUISM is the world's Oldest religion--its Vedas, puranas dated back to 15,00 BC according to geologists and anthropologist but it dates even thousands of years back as going by the sayings.

Sanskrit-world's oldest language, and the mother of all language especially Indo-european language, has been the curiosity of the world's scholars. In thailand, people respect Buddhism as much as Hinduism--king of thailand has kept Pure Brahmins as his priests in his palace.

This is my version of what religion is.....I am not religious...I do believe in god...Agnostic here.....

My thought is that religion was invented in order to control the masses....Kings and Priest of thousands of years ago needed to control their subjects ...therefore they said they were divine ...so people would not question them or object to their autocratic rule of the kingdoms....

Every human needs to also put their existence into perspective....and believing in religion gives them an outlet to belong, hope etc...

I am not saying religion is bad...just that it was a social project that has enormous power to evoke the barbarism, heroism, unconditional devotion and down right extremism that no other cause or person can bring about.....

Religion is the opiate of the masses... it is the standard operation procedure of here and after….follow this and you will rewarded….

If you open your history books, you will see that the person who "standardized" the caste system was a Rana, a thakuri. Yes, Newars have their own version of the caste system--and supposedly they were here before bahuns--in other words bahuns fled from India after the Muslim invasion, as the story goes. And who was that Malla king(probably a Newar) who raped a preteen girl and got off scott free? So pull that head out of your ass and use that hollow brain of yours for a second. Bahuns have been in "power" for only a decade, and the reason behind it is that bahuns are more educated than the rest of the pack, so to speak. So stop blaming us for all your insecurities, go back to Nepal, increase the literacy rate of your folks, and then come back here to argue.

The reason why Newars hate the king(I don't like the king--just making a point) is that they are living in the past-the good ol' glory days, when Newars had their own kings, who were all replaced by the Thakuris. Secondly, bahuns are overwhelmingly(this is the key word--i know some will point out ganesh man and some other freedom fighters to counter my argument) the ones who brought democracy to Nepal--not newars, not thakuris, not chettris, not gurungs, not tamangs. It was us. Most Newars in Kathmandu from what I gather are also communists--yeah believing in a system that's good on paper but quixotic at best will take Nepal forward. Pull that stick out of your ass.

Hinduism is bahun imposed religion. Bahun is a derivative of the word ब्राह्‌मण (brahmad)

Brahmad means a highly spiritual (not necessarily educated ) being. There arent many of those left today. So noone really is bahun in the correct sense. A chettriya can be brahmad too provided he/she can shun this world's pleasures and work towards healing others.

As far as the bahuns in nepal, it's just an aspect of a cultural system gone haywire. Bahuns are supposed to be pundits, doing pooja paath blah blah because they pass on the learnings to their children. And similarly all other different castes have their own CULTURE. I'VE REPEATED THIS GOD DAMN THING SO MANY FKIN TIMES IN SAJHA!!!!!

Aba Bahuns feel that their teachings will disappear if their daughters or sons go away to some other caste family and similarly other castes feel their culture will vanish if their children will marry someone from a diff. caste.
