Hello,

If you are a graphics designer (photoshop/illustrator expert), could you please put together a set of GIFs that we could use as a brand for our Unicode Nepali project?

Here are the rough specs:

1. Coloring and Theme: Needs to be crisp, sharp and in line with our overall product theme. Here's our product:

2. Dimensions: 85 x 35 pixels. Please design one slightly bigger and one slightly smaller, too. So total 3.

3. What should it say? There should be two lines. The top line should say "Nepalima sajilai type garnuhos" or just just "Nepalima type garnus" or whatever...depending on space considerations... be creative. The bottom line should say, "nepalima type" in Roman. Be creative. Use nice fonts and/or crisp background!!!

4. What will it be used for? Well, our product has been linked from many different websites all over the world... And we want to give all of these sites one (or a couple) standard image to use on their links so that it's all consistent and users can recognize without spending lot of time locating the link...

5. Will you be paid? No. But you'll be credited on our project home page: www.unicodenepali.com

6. We will decide whether to use your work. But we really need something! Or if there are many entries, we'll maybe have Sajha users vote on them! :-)

Looking good! Now I'm thinking, given the size (width/height) limitations, maybe we should just have Nepali on the botton....

How about a 100px x 50px with only Nepali text:

i like the ones by debsa. like echoes says, we could see how it would be to have just nepali text. something like

i love the color gradation. maybe we can use a variation of the 'pinkish' theme of the product page itself?

Ok...first of all you should be clear as to what you need and for what.
No flashy stuffs....no annimation...but u again need letters animated....

debsa--please consider what_more's suggestions... Maybe you could come up with a few different designs with different text....and we could pick one or two depending on what we like? it's kinda hard to say until we get to see the visuals!

Un_Forgiven--sorry, part of the problem is that we only vaguely know what we want and don't want that to confine an artist's creativity... so if you can come up with something that's really good but doesn't meet the described specs, that'd be great too.... a super cool creative piece is what we need. lets say, that's the specs!

sayami--I like the effects on the first one, but not the colors... I guess I got a different taste than you do!... But I would like a sharp & crisp bluish look... Can you play with them colors a bit more??? I know the pain (unless you know of a shortcut!) in doing the typewriter effect animation, but I'm not a fan of the bright red/yellowish/golden colors!...

We want to make sure the button isn't too flashy...we want it to blend with *any* website out there in the world ;-)

BTW, 17KB isn't bad... but lets try to keep it as low as we can... keeping users in Nepal in mind...

Like I said I can change the colors and background.
I made this colour to see the effect clearly.
I will make the background Gradient overlay in light and dark blue.
IN YOUR FIRST SPECS. you did mentioned all right.
To make such animation in Gif 85x35, it is very conjusted.
100x50 is better even for two lines with two different text.
And add some other effect too.

yes, we realize the 85x35 is too small...so let's allow up to 100x50... however, let's trim the unused space from both top/bottom (so it may be < 50).

let's not add any additional effects... i realize every frame of the animation adds to the size of the GIF, and we'd like to keep the GIF as small (in bytes) as possible... Certainly not more than 20KB. so no further effects pls...

i think your animation (the type-writer effect only) on debsa's background/pattern would look pretty good. sorry to be PIA!
