What follows is a re-post. San had banned this character Ranjit Rana from Sajha. But this character seems to have re-surfaced in a new avatar now in the form of NepalTara888. For those of you perplexed by NepalTara888's needless and mindless attacks against me in the past few days, it's worth noting that we have covered this territory before. The original can be viewed at: http://www.sajha.com/archives/openthread.cfm?threadid=12689&dsn=sajhaarchive2003#44283 San, is there anything you can do to make sure that NepalTara888 abides by the Sajha rules? Thanks. oohi ashu ************ Hi all, Have you all been noticing the needless attacks that this character who calls himself Deepak Bista, or Ashutoshchora, or Ranjit Rana, or Rendra Wasito [NOW: NepalTara888] has been launching against me on Sajha for the past few days? San, do you have any suggestions as to how I should deal with these sort of needless and UNPROVOKED attacks? I mean, I am not asking for sympathy here. In the rough and tumble of Internet debates, with a relatively thick skin, I can take this kind of shit up to a point, after which I, as a human being, start to feel, "What the hell . . . what have I done to this guy and why is this guy relentlessly after me for NO reason?" And I think, as a Sajha contributor, my this question is a legitimate one. For the record, I have never met, worked with or had any dealings whatsoever with this character. If he hates me from a distance, fine, I can live with that. He's free to hate me to his heart's content for whatever reason. But let's face it: Nobody needs to CONSTANTLY harassed the way he's been harrassing me in this PUBLIC forum. What do you guys think? Am I over-reacting, or do I have a legitimate point here? Look forward to hearing from you Sajha friends. And San, I want you to take a stand on this matter, please. oohi ashu

Confused-jee, Although your name is "Confused", you are certainly not confused about disclaimer of the SAJHA. I appreciate for pointing that important aspect. But afterall, Ashu is a Nepali Human Being, educated in Harvard (?), and went back to Nepal. So he is still a Nepali, and working hard in the context of Nepali society, it's natural to have nepalipana resident inside him. The education received in Harvard not necessarily should erase his nepalipana. So, despite the clear cut Disclaimer in Sajha, yet he assumed that he has great influence within sajha forums, and in that assumption he attempted to try "EYE for an EYE" punishment on the guy who wrote bad things (could be true or flase - but it really doesn't matter) about him thorugh the Administrator of Sajha. This is very common practive in Nepal, ther eis one thing in law, and people accomplish against the law somehow!!!

It really doesn't matter if a person went to great university and spent 10 years for undergraduate program with GPAs near about 2.0.It's not necessry that a person should be a graduate of a prestigious uiversity to be a great thinker and contributor tho the world. A layman could be far wiser than a PhD guy from Harvard/Princton/Standford or MIT. In the contrary, a person graduating from such institutions could be a great destructor to the humankind. Therefore, we should not view Ashu as the graduate of HARVARD. That consideration should not have any bearing on this or any other discusssion. If Ashu feels highly about him being graduate of Harvard, and that concept influences his thinking of himslef superior than others, it's his problem. That's his EGO. And we know EGO is the one that stands as a BIG obstruction to liberation of thinking. Somebody earlier raised the issue of Ashu's connection to harvad and the long time spent there to grduate with low GPA achieved. That posting seems to have been removed. That's a good action from the ADMIN. We should not care such posting.

Darshankaka, I accept that -- despite my small, small attempts to get this discussion forum interesting --- some people cannot rest without having thrown mud at me for no reason. I thank you for being one such person. My life would be boring if some people out there don't have reasons to hate me :-) I don't mind what you have posted above simply because your assertions are FALSE. But I understand that such FALSEHOOD do make comfortable stories for some people who want to believe the worst about others, and that's fine because that's life. That's why, you and your friends are welcome to believe any negative thing you have heard about me from people who hate me for their own reasons. I wish you well. By now, most on Sajha know that I have endured MORE than my share of numerous FALSE and slanderous attacks here (simply because I tend to be vocal and active in my own way, I suppose). Optimistically, I intend to be around on and off Sajha. Do keep on following my life; who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised when you find out the facts that you can ACTUALLY verify and gasp at, and not speculate with suspicions . . . if only you exercise some bits of patience. :-) And I say that with enormous confidence and self-awareness. oohi "completely at ease at being himself on and off Sajha" ashu

ssNY wrote: "BTW - did you write about your bungee jumping adventure and the standup comedy experience?" ssNY, thank you for your support. I appreciate it. Comedy: On a dare, I wrote and performed in a half-hour Nepali-English stand-up comedy show last April. Much to my shock, the program was received very well by 100-odd audience members, each of whom paid Rs. 100. Buoyed by that experience, and having met and befriended a number of Nepali comedians since, I am now -- together with Manoj Gajurel, a well-known comedian in Kathmandu --trying to get a regular comedy scene going here in Kathmandu. I am NOT sure how successful we will be, but, hey, we are willing to give it a try and see what happens. Our first show -- after I get back from travels abroad in August -- is scheduled for: Friday, the 10th of September, 2004 at 6:30 pm at Dhokai Ma Cafe. There will be about 5 comedians. I will do a 10-minute. I'll keep you guys posted about the progress. Again, many thanks for your interest, and let's do something funny in these crying times in Nepal. oohi "enjoying life to the hilt in and out of the office in Kathmandu" ashu

wakil.1, that must be our venerable Darshankaka (AKA Khusiyali Aunty) and Dharma Sankat (lovingly called Dharmay)! Oh my most favorite, lovable, huggable, morally perfect Grand Inquisitors Darshannkaka and Dharmay, it is sooo, sooo nice to see you sistaz again, without your heads stuck up that cyclist's ass for a change. If you clean your shit-bedecked eye lashes, you just might see that your fellow Nepalis are not such bad people, like me. But really, is there nuthin' you two inseparable lovers (of the Nepali Village People fame) don't do together?! As usual, here you are aggressively bullying, torturing (ggrrowlll), and ganging up (meow) on yet another dashing man for your unappeasable S&M pleasures, gggrrowlll!! Movin' on up from cycling brawn to ivy league brains, I see, naughty, naughty! Unwilling to see you dudettes weep again, like when your handsome cycling obsession spurned you, bicharas, I now promise to pray for your success in "patya-ing""this potentially huge catch, wink, wink, meow! You go girlz! Your oh so seriious tone, wise vision, your burning moral clarity and your precious, precious understanding of Nepalipan, not to mention your expertise on the ego and meditation--ohmigod, ohmigod, it is so, so deliciously hilarious that it makes me cry (pink hankie please). That super ignoramus Mr. Ashu (unlike you enlightened sistaz) is unfit to clean your pencil-heeled shoes, no sirree, or massage your smooth, waxed legs, ggrrowlll! That philistine has no chance against a Stanford alumnus (Khusiyali Aunty) and a Jalpaigudi Tech grad (Dharmay). You sistaz have repeatedly and unquestably proved yourselves to be THE intellectual heavyweights and THE moral commissars of this site, besides already holding the best dancers/singers awards with the Nepali Village People (applause please). So that these achivements are forever inscribed in the annals of Sajha history, I hereby declare you two undisputed Queens of Sajha and crown you with these fake diamond-studded plastiic tiaras (tali please). Let me be the first to drop to my knees and offer my obeisance (wink, wink) to your royal highnesses by sucking--I mean kissing your hennaed, perfume-drenched hands (ohmigod, ohmigod, I am fainting already, smelling salt please)! Oh, i can't stop these joyful tears, this is so, so sweet, touching and oh so fun!!!
