Hi Guys i got the email confirmation from USCIS as belows and i have one Question :

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number *****************. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

Does this means i wont get any RFE (if needed) or they still going to check the document. I am still confuse with my birth certificate as most of the petitioner get RFE for that.

Jhilke I think USCIS accepted your case, if they need anything from you they will ask it with you, they will now schedule you for biometrics and if everything goes well they will schedule you for interview. Good luck.

Jhilke,

How long did it take for you to get that email confirmation? I mean after you filed for I-485?

Good luck!

Bi-polar, i sent them on friday, it reached there on Monday, and i got this email today. My check is still on processing.

Deported, i am confused, they received my case or accepted my case? in the email they said "accepted". But in the end it has written as :

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case.  This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

So there is still chance of asking for additional documents?

Jhilke,

I think that just means they've just received your petition. And does'nt mean that your case has been accepted. I think it's some sort of "acknowledgement" from their end that they're working on your case.

My lawyer filed mine on monday (through employer) and according to them : my next step, they'll send out a letter for me to go get my biometrics.

I don't think one needs to file I-864 when filing I-130 alone.

People are so caught up with this complex structures that Americans have created. I-130, I-485, I-90, H1b, H2b, CPT, OPT, F1, J1, Green Card, Naturalization (N-485)............and the list goes on. Please wake up! Give up this nonsense! These things are just mere mental ideas! Why do guys want to live somebody's mental idea? It's like living somebody's dream! Give up this unreal and seek what is real. Life is precious. Please don't waste your life ding OPT and CPT all your life. The supreme bliss is ever present within you and your are hankering after I-485? That's ignorance.

According to letter Nvc will contact beneficiary for the further process steps. Do you guys have any idea with these sickening steps. Please share. Thank you in advance

I have no idea either. But I think your spouse should be in Nepal. It is a different process if your spouse is outisde USA. I guess you better consult with attorney. or follow the forum listed below:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/112-bringing-family-members-of-permanent-residents-to-america/

Just post your query in this forum.

I hope it helps. I have no clue about NVC.

Good Luck on your journey!!!!
