You are in Bangkok now. How come? I thought I would meet you in ANA convention in Los Angeles. It was great. Lots of people from all over US. Srijan Dai from Okely performed on the cultural program. He is from MAV too, right?

Lali Gurans - since you were at ANA - LA, did you get to see Chitralekha Yadav, vice speaker of Nepali Parliament and my class mate at MAV Thapathali? Guess you didn't know she's an MAV alumni also, albeit, Thapathali, and not from where it is now. .

I know she is from MAV too. She came as a chief guest in parent's day celebration in MAV once. And yes, she was there in the 25th ANA convention. So you were at the convention too, hum?

No, couldn't make it to ANA this time, in LA. Among many things I think I missed, I surely did miss not meeting Chitralekha.

Having eons gone by from the days of MAV (Thapathali), I don't have much recollection of those 'wonderful' days there, just know that I did have some darn good time, but among a few things I remember, it was surely the competition with Chitralekha in class. It was either her or, ehem, I, who used to score highest in class.

And one day, I remember it so vividly, I topped the class in an English dictation by just a point over, of course, her. When the papers were returned to us, she asked to look at mine and very quickly pointed out that I had spelled TWO as TOW and 'Miss' had missed it. Had that been caught, she'd have topped or, having memory gotten a bit fuzzy, would have at least tied. But, she didn't say a peep - and allowed me to enjoy the glory of being the 'best' in the class. Of course, it wasn't as sweet knowing the 'truth'.

Timro post haru aajkal MAV thread ma dekhdina. I joined the thread recently. I was going through all the past posts and found out that you and I are from the same batch (97 SLC). We & I were class mates in class 7, 8 and may be 9 too. I think I know you, and I think I have seen your picture on sajha, (Boston ma bhayeko celebrations ko picture haru ma). You were very sharp in Quiz contest. You and Prakash Bhattarai used to represent our batch in Quiz contest. I remember Madhav Thapa, Anil Silwal, Santosh, Rohit Khadka, Ishwor Maharjan, Ankit Dahal (he transferred to Little Angles later). Rita Shrestha used to be the topper every year but in SLC Sajindra topped her.

I think I know who you are. Can you find out who I am?

I had managed to enter the MAV premises when I was in Nepal last March. Much of the physical infrastructure appeared to be the same as far as I could recall. Lal Mani Joshi (?) was the Principal, and the VP was D (Deepak?) Acharya. The uniform for both genders was changed to white shirts and grey pants.

This is what I am talking about. Keep going guys. Yes LaliGurans, I would come to ANA but I had to come in this unscheduled trip. I met Srijan Dai couple of time and I talked to him about this thread but I was too drunk at that time. I visited LA in March 2007 and August 2005. It's hot, didn't like it.
I used to like a gal when I was in class 10 but never dared to talk with her but once we had a big fight in school when someone wrote her name and my name on black board. Somepeople got suspended for few days but I was the reason of fight and I didn't get any trouble. That was funny. I remember that incident all the time nowdays coz I could get trouble at my work for stupid things just like back in School.
Does anyone know if MAV alumnai gonna do some programme in School during Dashain time like previous years?

Oye Sukucha who are you? Send me email bro. I can't figure it out who the hell are you. I met some Nepalese in Indonesia. They found that one nepali (of course me) is there and they were so excited to meet me. One of em' was ex mav student but i was in so hurry that i forgot that ask more about him.

Nice to find lots of ex MAV sharing their older experiences.I was in second batch of SLC. I was in hostel and i was in same class of hareram,roshan,yogesh,bhatte,bimal etc...I was in same dormitory with sunil ojha, sunu, saru, hareram, pashupati chowdhary,bimal basnet etc.

so many good old memories of school. Those were the best time of my life.
