But as AX mentioned, how do we decide who chooses first, or is it entirely possible that both players have the same picks, i mean where's the advantage to seed 1 playing against seed 8, could there be any other way besides just wins and losses that can be taken into account here?

counting only the total win isnt fair. Guys who have done this every week and not necessary good will be counted in it too. But its just a game. I dont mind.

To address Ax and unknown's concern, there should be no restriction as who posts the prediction first as it is too hard to enforce that rule. Ofcourse we can always check the time of the postings but different people are ready different time and it could get frustating. Hence I propose two rules, let me hear your opinion:
1. No time restriction on posting.
2. The regular season seeding decides any tie breaker.

Rule 2 gives the advantage to those players who were seeded higher in regular season. This is similar to any major league rule and also rewards those who worked hard (or were luckier) in regular season.

There are 4 games in first round (wild card playoff), 4 in second (divisional) and 3 in the last (conference playoff and super bowl). Ofcourse that's not enough, but this is where the regular season seedings matter.

To address Slash's concern
There are 3 things we can do:

1. Keep the proposed scheme, i.e. top 8 players in win get to play.

2. Top 8 players by percentage (over 128 games by week 17).

3. 14 teams get to play (by percentage or wins). Top 2 players get bye in the first week.

Let's hear from you guys. If not too many replies get in the above proposed scheme, then we will stick to no.1.

DWI, i don't think that's the wise idea to have a playofs. Most people will choose Colts or Seahawks and I thought 6 teams from each division play qualifies for playoffs(12 teams???)

even it is 12 teams, i still won't be qualified for next round. my free service stil continues ;)

One I like is to have 5 different categories for QB, RB, WR. The pick has to be from 3 different teams and you have to pick different players if they have already take...........Whoever wins qualifies for next round... what you say???

Hey guys, DWI 's first idea for playoff is good but lets make everyone choose the team with tiebreak points for each game. So both Player X and Y can choose the same team but they will put the tie breaker points too so after the game the player whose tie-breaker point is closer to the total points in that game will win. So it has to match the win as well as the points. So both players can chose any teams they want and even if the team they chose happen to be the same one here will be only one winner. But you can't put the same tie breaker points that ya opponent has posted. This way we don't have to worry who chooses which team and what if they chose the same team or who gets to choose first. What ya'll think ?
