Good going in here..So, why not open up ourselves little bit of us, if not more?

I attended GBS 4-7. Went back to my home in Lamjung and did my SLC from there (from a government school :)). I.Sc in ASCOL and then for a while in Nepal College of Technology, which is now named Asian College of Engineering and Management (ASCEM), for BEIT. Now in the US. Somewhere in TX. Didn't transfer, but started all over again, so STILL a undergraduate. :)

It's really good and refreshing to see this nice banter going on amongst us, fellow alumni of GBS a.k.a. GAMV albeit in a humorous and non-vulgar manner. It provides us with this great camaraderie which is a fact that we inherit upon entering the gates of this remarkable institution. The only drawback is that, when it comes to the topic on the female gender i.e. who Babita is and so on, I haven't got the foggiest idea because when we were there in the early and mid eighties, there were no girls. But one thing I can say for sure is that when we had strikes, the focal point was always to insist our foremost view that in GBS, "Keti pani chahinchha". It didn't happen in our lifetime but luckily, later, after we were long gone, the female gender in this school on the banks of the Seti River became a reality. I hope we continue to keep on sharing the wonderful memories that all of us cherish from our days spent in this school in Lamachaur.

Helina, I was in GBS for short time ( only in plus 2). So I couldnt grab any prize like you said. But I used to read poem, parody etc in class assembly. One of my class mate even composed a song there. After we left GBS, I guess the song is in the air of kanchanjunga but not heard. Thanks for visiting chautari but there are not much contributions these days as it used to be in earlier chautari issues.

I am willing to swallow my pride and apologise to everyone but I haven't got a clue where they are. so here I am in sajha and I apologize to everyone I made miserable. Now that I look back I cant think what it was?? maybe it was the time? maybe it was the whole way the school was run? but girls used to be so reserved and lacking in confidence back in those days (most of them anyway).. maybe things have changed now..

Hostel no 10 ali kati changed bhayeko cha.. tyo common room ra toilet bhanda bhaira arko room add bhayeko cha.. there is a corridor to go to the common room.. Ani first floor ma pani aauta sano room add bhayeko cha right at the end of the ladder....

Ani aru naya kura gbs ma ke cha.... hmm....
well it's been about 3 or 4 yrs that there is a section added in 8 , 9 and 10 . There are 3 section A B and C from grade 8 -10. Ani 11 ra 12 ma pani section add bhayeko cha..

11A and 11B ra 12 A and 12 B....

How does the hostel look by this change? I guess it looks like a jail. Do they still have two doors for the bathroom? What about hostel duty? In our time jr. guys used to clean downstair and sr. guys used to clean upstairs. Does still gals' hostel win the hostel award?

Hey GBS folks I am friend with a girl from GBS and unlike what you guys are saying she is everything a lady should be.I know she has been and still is struggling to get out of a pain she has been going through because she got into a bad relation but the way she handles her life with all positive attitude is just amazing.

Nepalean.... there is still 2 doors to go to the toilet.. And I remembered one thing rite now.. There is another 4 toilet and 2 bathroom being attached behind the previous toilet... now there is 8 toilet and 4 bathroom all total in hostel no 10....

Well hostel duty ko kura garnu parda sabai boys hostel ma routine huncha.. tyo routine aanusaar kaam garnu parcha.. Well it's seems that nobody remembers maichang guruama... Well other changes in GBS is the bus parking lot.. THere has been underground water plant being installed... it was installed about 4-5 yrs ago... Ani tyo hostel no 1 ,health centre ani girls hostel ko middle ma bhayeko tarkarii barii.. is now a park...

THere is a nice park being made for the vehichels that comes inside gbs .. that are brought by the parents.. and there are about 3-4 chautarii in the park for people to sit and talk....

Jamie, I am confused, but who are you talking about? I don't think anything bad has been said here about a girl. I told people used to joke around with silly and petty things and one of them used to be the full form of G.B.S, but that was all.

I hope you didn't mean that girl was Babita. I don't know the reason behind her leaving GBS then.
