At how many places has the Nepal-India border been violated ?

 

India is the country with bigger size but tiny heart!
Altogether 26 out of 75 districts of Nepal have border linkages with India, of which 21 are undergoing the violation of their territory by India. There are 54 such border points within those 21 districts where Nepal’s territory seems to be encroached upon. The total area under encroachment is estimated at around 59,970 hectare, of which Kalapani-Limpiyadhura alone covers 37,840 ha, Susta area 14,860 ha, various places in Jhapa district cover around 1,630 ha, and other places in other districts occupy around 5,640 ha. Taken together, the following locations of the Nepalese territory have frequently been reported as encroached upon by India:-

There are some more places of encroachment in recent times. These are Parasan Pyaratal of Kanchanpur, Lalbojhi (Kauakheda) and Bhajani (Kusumghat) of Kailali, Bardiya Municipality Ward- 4 (Chaugurchi) of Bardiya, Korobari of Jhapa and Bhantabari (1.5 km East-West Highway) of Sunsari District.

Bhimu i appreciate your presentation, facts and figures. I like the satire of desert rain but couldn't agree with MadDoGG. In fact we can't do anything against it. Until India controls our politics and politicians we will be not able to protect our land. Our politicians are required to be loyal with Indian government to get into power. However anti-Indian slogan is cheap way to get the mass popularity for our political parties. But once they get position in power they will not lose their oppurtunity to serve India with the hope of longer life in power. Even maoist party which had strong anti-India sentiment/(policy?) earlier has now turned into very positive about India. And the present political situation or even in past with no majority of one party in CA or former parliament provied India enough room to play with these parties. Some people are ultra anti-Indians but there is no way we can avoid India. Indeed we need to keep very good relatioship with India but whenever there comes the national issues like land encroachment and water budgeting not only we people but our political parties should take the firm stand. The unification between our leader we have seen during the increment of their salaries, we have to see for these national issues.
