Lemme first congratulate you and your spouse for having a baby girl in near future.
About suggesting the name, I think you should go for such names that would be easy to pronounce in the USA and still carry Nepalese meaning. Some names, when pronounced incorrectly, sound so funny and loose their original charm. Many Nepalese and Indians immigrants have experienced this in the USA. It is really upsetting to some people.
I hope you will consider this while giving a name to your baby girl.
Congratulations again.

I agree with kali.keti something that blends east and west, but it's hard to find such names. I've seen some chinese people giving entirely english names to their kids.
I've seen a list of nepali (and also newari) names for boys and girls somewhere on the web, but couldn't find it now.

Usually a baby's name is based on certain suitable letters appropriate at the time of birth. So, I'm not sure if you and your wife intend to follow that system. Then parents also like to take one of the God's name. Or maybe you want to give her a modern name. If you are just looking around for ideas and since you know you're going to have a little princess.... Anisha - one in whose life there is no darkness.Bhamini - one who is beautiful.Chandralekha - digit of the moon.Divya - one who is radiant.Esha - one who desires.F/Phoolmani - a jewel amongst flowers.Girijaa - daughter of the mountain.Hansika - little swan.Indujaa - daughter of the moon.Jyotika - a kind of fragrant flower.Kaanchana - gold.Lalita - one who is playful.Mayuree (i) - peacock.Nitya - constant.Ojasvini - an elaborate style.Pavani - wind.Rashmi - ray of the early morning sun.Shilpa - one who is skilled in any art.Tanusha - daughter born in the early morning.Urmi - waves of emotion.Vasanti - youthful.Yaamini - night.Do let us know your final decision. God bless you and your family.

Gurkahs, Ok r u trying to find Nepali name or Foreign name, coz most of the time Nepali american parents try to give their child a american name. So talk to ur partner before u pick the name. many time i have seen a american people butching nepali name even though they can pronounce it properly.
