I think we should stop wining about what Indian calls us. Instead we should accept the fact and learn to deal with it. Besides when you think about it, it is true. There are many nepalese employed as watchmen in India. I guess its just a human nature to stereotype people from different communities. I guess thats the way the entire world works.

Rather than avoiding watching their movies and accepting the fact that many uneducated nepalese are employed as watchemen in India, I would suggest if some Indian dude/tte start conversing with you in Hindi, please do not reply in their tongue rather try replying in Nepali (Just to let them know that do they understand what we speak) or better reply in English. First of all, we have to make this habit of not replying or converse in HINDI with HINDUSTANI, and then slowly some other changes. Please make this habit, you will surely ace the rest....

Ok folks, here is what I learned from one of our fellow countrymen.. A Nepali was working when approached by a dhoti. He said something in Dhoti to him. The scene was as follows: Dhoti: blah blah blah (in dhoti) Nepali: Why are you talking to me in Spanish?? Dhoti: Spanish?? NO, this is Hindi Nepali: Then talk to me in something that I understand !!! Use Nepali or English Dhoti: But you watch Hindi movies in Nepal, don't you? Nepali: Yeah, but with English subtitles!!! ............

It is the custom of this world. BIG makes fun of the small. Take US and Canada for instance, Australia and NZ or even Germany and Netherlands. That is the way world works. If you are big and strong you make fun of the strong. The only thing to focus here is that we shouldn;t give a damn. Kaag karaudai garcha, pina sukdai garchha... Let them say what they want because does what they say make a lot of impact to our lives or our country? If it wasn;t for the British that ruled them and civilized them, the whole of India would be one big foikin BIHAR anyway..

okay, at least it was the villian, not the hero.. plus i don't think we should change our attitude towards others by watching hindi films that more than often tend to be stupid if not miles away from reality.. so what is wrong in speaking hindi with indians or as a matter of fact with any other person?.. it is just a language.. to communicate to relate to understand...

100% with gundrukbhat. Big make fun of small. But if, say, Canada makes fun of US, then people in US take it sportingly. It is okay for India to make fun of Nepal, Bangladesh, China etc., but if other countries around India makes fun of it, then it doesn't show the similar sportsmanship. Kudos to the friend of wtf.

Here is the continuation of the conversation that wtf mentioned Dhoti was there with his dhoti friends. So, he says to his friends turning to them. Dhoti: Dekh Ye Madharchodh hindi nahi samajta. Nepali:Arey Jabaan sambhalke bol Dhoti:ehehehheehe Bolgaya na. the above is totally provided for humor. The tactics by wtf is just great. I never ever talk to Indians in Hindi. Anyway I'm not good at it either. If someone tries to insult us in anyway, let's fight back. Gotta put our lives in line when the whole nation is in jeopardy. Just my 2 cents.

Yes they have been using Nepal's name in most of the movies as the hiding place for Drug Mafias (underworld) or something insulting. Not only nepal's name they use every other Neighbouring countries name in an insulting way..I think Its the nature of Dhotis to boast about themselves. And those stupid film makers are Dhotis as well.. I hate it when Dhotis call me "you from India" straight away without even asking where I am from in the first place.I hate it when Dhotis say Nepal is Part of India as well.Ghrrrrrrr.Iit gets into my nerves. We shouldn't speak in Hindi if they start conversation.....

live_wire: no offense but "big make fun of small?" and that is okay with you?? why the heck would i be made fun of when I don't deserve it?? just out of curiosity, i would like to know how you would respond to the following: The teacher says: Buddha was born in Nepal. you, being a Nepali, negate it. A fawkkin dhoti blunty interferes and says: well, that's what is written in the book. it must be true. you know he knows to his bones that Buddha was born in Nepal AND that Nepal is not, and never was, a part of India!! if you are cannot speak against it when you are supposed to, i guess the "big make fun of small" is wholly TRUE FOR YOU and please note: this was not to offend you or anyone who support Big make fun of Small.

Just for the record Buddha was born in what is now India. Prince Siddhartha Gautam Shakya was born in what is now Nepal. hahaha just teasing. you know i used to get infuriated with this things but it's useless and waste of time. people who care about fact will never believe in lies and people who believe in lies never care about facts.

If you start paying attention to what others say about you you will never be able to achieve anything. But the truth of the matter is that there are a lot of Nepali folks that do goto India and work as watchmen. That is reality, I don't have a problem with it. Just like Nepali people refer all Indians as KHAALI SHISHI or CHANA CHATPAT. Not that all of them are in that profession. Same thing with all NEPALI people calling them DHOTI(not that all of them necessarily wear Dhotiis). If you start paying attention to petty lil things like that pretty soon we are going to have issues with the whole freakin world.

Rockend, I lived in India for 2 years. I was never subjected to whatever you are talking about. I guess if you let people step all over you...he he regardless of what country you go to they will walk all over you. And no need to start more hatred towards those people. They already have enough on their freakin plate. WE DO NOT NEED YOU TO ADD FUEL TO THE FIRE. IT IS NOT GOING TO HELP ANYONE(INDIAN OR NEPALI).
