Nepali ppl..esp.. guys tend to go back home to get married??? Not that thr aren't any GOOD ( in every sense, i dont say perfect but yeah GOOD would be the right word) gals around here in US and other places abroad, then why...? Not that they never be with gals here,, everyone knows wot kinda stuff guys get into ... no offense towards GOOD (faithful) GUYS... then why....? They want to be boyfrens but are not ready to be husbands, no matter what!! CRAPPPPP!!!! After many years of being with various gals, of all types, they HAVE TO return back to nepal n get married to a gal who's been chosen by their parents as if they are sadhu and the gals they find there are all so called Never-been-Touched!!! hmmm .. why...???

Why are you even bothered to ask this question? You already know the answer why this happens...unless you are just looking to validate what your own reasoning. They 'shop around'..date girls and if they wanted to settle down with someone they dated, they would have done so. They finally figured out that the girls he dated didn't fit his idea of 'wife'...so end of going home and marrying complete strangers. I think at that time, they have given up on dating and just want to settle down, but dont have to the energy or enthusiasm to pick a girl themselves. And it looks good on the books if he goes home and marry the girl his family picked. I think even you agree that not everyone does that..and if he is really in love with some girl, he will do his best to marry her..no matter where they met and live. Some simply get married in Nepal to the girl his parents pick because he didnt have any girlfriend.

Wonder why "horse" acted so hateful, Wondery why "horse" has no respect for other's sentiments, Wonder if he has a heart, a stone-cold heart, I Wonder and that's what all I can do! I'm utterly disappointed! :(

A guy normally goes to Nepal to get married because: a) The guy did not find a girl in USA that he wants to get married to.. so he goes back home and fully puts his future in his parents' hands! b) He tried his best to get hooked up to severals girl who are in states.... and he had no luck... all the girls he liked never even gave him a second look, so he is hoping that his parents are able to achieve something he could not!

sajha user, those guys are not loosers because everybody in this universe is not like u, who can find a girlfrnd. some guys dont know lappan chappan, so they rely on their parents. and recent data shows that arrange marriage is more successful than those kinda dating marraige.

There is a guy I know who is naturally as good looking as Mel Gibson still went home for arranged marriage. He had so many girls run after him all the time. I have seen people hooking up here too for the long haul and seems to be working out fine. To me meeting one here is fine or going for arranged one is okay too. It does not necessarily have to be the right way if it's the way that's working out for you. The burning quescion is "are you happy with what you achieved?"

"They 'shop around’… date girls and if they wanted to settle down with someone they dated, they would have done so". I don’t think dating and shopping around can be correlated. Shopping around is something like random hookups. When u shop around you are either are looking for the best value for your money or you are not looking for something in particular... when you date someone neither is true. You don't get into a relationship thinking this is the best I can do for myself or oh I was just looking around and I met you lets date...

pearls, you hardly know me, so please act mature and dont try to judge me. and if you think thats me showing a typical guys mentality, well then look at it this way, may be thats your pereception of a guys mentality, or may be all you've dealt is with those kinda guys, so thats all you know. and by the way, i wasnt spitting my anger to any girl, but be my guest, you can think whatever your minds empowers you to think.

Interesting thread. he he he!! Okay...One Nepali KETA and one Nepali Keti met in USA.... fell in love. As somebody said above the Nepali keta is a looser..okay he is a looser...left the keti alone and went back to Nepal and got married to another girl. Now what will that Nepali keti do? She will find another nepali keta in USA and will get married or asks her parents to find a keta for her and gets married in Nepal. 1. If she marries another Nepali keta in USA then we can say 50% of Nepalese keta marry in USA. 2. If a Nepali keta dates 4 nepalese ketis in USA and leaves all of them to get married in Nepal and if those 4 nepalese ketis find other 5 nepalese ketas in USA and get married then that shows 20% of Nepali Keta go back home to get married. 3. If she marries a guy in Nepal then the number of Nepali keta going back home and getting married is equal to that of Nepali ketis. I think number of Nepali keta is higher than Nepali keti, so those remaining Nepali ketas have to go back to Nepal to get married. Do they have choice?

Girls and Boys, Tell you what, go with the flow of the dating/mating/partnering game. As the song by the quiet Beatle goes " you ask me about my love (i don't know) ^2 stick around, it may show..." and so forth... There are certain inherent biological, financial, socialogical etc factors/rules which you can't change but only complain or comply to. Bottomline is: most girls will look for guys with mainly financial security and most guys will look for girls who look physically attractive. And that is dead true. Therefore, why not try to adapt yourself to some of these stringent rules and be happy ever after with or without a partner? Have a good night

Answer to this question is dead simple. In America, how many of you have seen an old interracial couples who grew old as husband and wife after 20-30 years of marriage. In this case lets say American born wife of a Nepali born husband (who first came to the US as a college freshman). Satistics tell something ? Another important aspect is how much are you willing to assimilate into the culture of your American born girlfirend inorder to get married to her and how is she willing to assimilate into our culture ?

iwhy would anyone go back to nepal to get married if he/she found a right person here in US itself. there could be various reasons one would go back to nepal for marriage. 1) parents desire for him/her to marry with the person of their choice. 2) not been able to find the right (definition may vary among individuals) person in US. several reasons could attribute to this. (a) too busy in work/study to find a partner. (b) living in a state where there are relatively less nepali in the first place. (c) too much americanized ("who the hell will marry a nepali" -concept) 3) prejudice about nepali living in US. that they are too liberal, won't understand family values, may not be virgin so on... 4)liked a girl but she did not give me a damn, or loved a man but he is too full of attitude to even consider me. right person does not necessarily have to be super good or a virgin or a sage in my view. on a personal note, i would be ready to marry anyone whom i can connect with regardless of her being virgin or non-virgin, good bad or ugly, someone who had number of bfs in the past or single ever since she came to US. it does NOT really matter as long as i see the match, as long as she is opinionated and bold plus if she possesses a little bit of sense of humor, that certainly does not hurt. :p. if i find her in US-- good!, if i have to go back to nepal--not at all that bad! it's not the place but the match with the person which matters :P :P LooTe PS Disclaimer: I am a virgin :P :P :P

Here is the real reason why, especially for Nepal men. Not every nepali men are gonna get lucky to hook up with a nepali woman here. Im not sure may be there is only one nepali woman for 5 nepali men in US. Second, the choice is so limited. Most Nepali guys who want to marry and settle down are too busy building their career. Who wants to go out and find a women, go thru all the usual lies to impress the gurl and hope that she would agree to marry you. The chances are very small. Rather back home u can mobilize more that 100 people to look for a bride for ya. You can have people such as maiju, bhauju, mom, sanima, kaki, phupu, hajurama, and their friends look for a nicest woman u can find. Yes men go back to Nepal to get married cos its... Simpler more choices no homework needed
