another social subject. i know most of you hate to discuss about politics so here i am hehe....

i am planning to practice celibacy (abstinence from marriage and sexual intercourse :P :P)... but i am not sure whether it's going to be possibe. At status quo, i am pretty much determined though.

1) do you think getting married is important?

2) can't we not live single forever?

3) what is there in sex?....it's just an emotion which can be suppressed if you are really determined.

and no, i am not going to leave my home, friends, social life and go to jungle for "budwatwa" or anything.. i am just talking about celibacy? is it possible?

ya, it sure is possible, i practised celibacy for 20 yrs, since birth to till i was 20, so you definetely can do it. good luck.

If you stay in US and have no sex for along period of time.. you may become a homosexual (no offence). You will need companionship of the opposite sex eventually. In a country like US nobody should live without a girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband. Being alone is the worst thing in life. This is just my opinion.. please post your opinion if you have one...

Happiness in life is the most important thing. If you think you will still be happy being celibate then that is alright. Now here is an example of what may go wrong. If you take example of catholic priests, they have to be celibate, there is no other choice, but there are number of those who make the news in a bad way. You know, Michael Jackson like activities. If you suppress the desires inside you one day it will explode and cause tremendous damage. BTW does celibacy includes abstinence from self gratification? Like you said this is US and you have a choice of living your life your own way but eventually we have to fit in the social circle of friends and colleagues as well.
