Salay tuppi bahun now wants to disban the Neali Army, while his own Maoist force won't give up arms. What is wrong with this picture? If we meet his demand, he'll turn Nepal upside down by terrorizing Nepalis. Nepal is doomed to be like North Korea if we let this pagal have his way. Salay never stops terrorizing Nepalis, even after signing the peace accord.

I used to support his silly chaak because he talked about empowering Janjatis, declaring Nepal a secular state, giving janjatis more stake in the government & politics, and deporting all them stupid chaak madheshis. Now, I won't support his chaak because he turned out to be an aashole.

It is the fact that Nepali Army worked only for monarchy, not for people in the past and I think Prachanda just recalled what many Nepali people have been feeling for a long time. Only problem I have seen with Prachanda and his party is that they might try to impose their communist ideologies whatever extent they can, not on what he alleged the NA.

Prachanda did good to humiliate army at the prime spot. It was high time the people get hired in army and had to work at house of all the journels and kernels. Man Ranas were ruling the army directly and all these learneds from all around speak in favor ofthe Ranas. Prachanda is right. NA should be reduced to less than 20000, atleast arny wont have to go cook food and wash clothes of the ranas and thapas. Also it reduces the risk of army making a coup. Until the NA is reduced to 20000, the Maoists are not gonna let the arms down. Obviously if they lay the arms down and army captures the government, its gonna be a rediculous mistake. Prachanda is smart enough to realize this and he is trying to avoid this situation. NA sould be cut in power for sure, to stop this corruption.

All the money from army working for the UN Peace keeper go the pocket ofthese ranas and shahs and thapas. Army has been a chief source of income for these fewdals. if the army is cut down then this source will also be closed. Army is major problem for Nepal. It shoudl be brought down to less than 20000.

I dont think those army who were killed were chamchas of everybody. They risk there life for a mere income of few thousand monthly income. unfortunately people like you dont understand. One of my friend from biratnagar suffered a similar fate he was in the army too.

I doubted on you becasue I think that NA issue is not the major concern for ordinary people (I sitll believe that Prachanda is almost right, though not perfectly in alleging NA), but main concern/problem with Maoists is that with their communism idealogy and over-enticing indiginous groups and their problems.

It's bit odd to know that someone supports those extremists Maoists in other agenda but shows his concern only at what Maoists say about NA. I thought is might be an another attempt of some royalists to divide us.

Recently Prachanda made this remark about Army. The moment I listened to it, I thought it was a little too much. It kept on disturbing my mind. I thought, if 70000 army people are dismantled, what will they do? How will they feed them and their family?

Then I thought again. This time with a cool mind. Who is feeding them right now?? Um.. It is the common nepalese people, us, who are feeding them with our tax. What do they do in return to us? Well in times of disaster,they do relief works. Only that?? um.. if there is an attack from india or china they will go to fight for us. But this attack thing is outdated. It wouldnt happen in the 21st century. Even if it would, it is obvious that it wont be able to save Nepal. (It couldnt even fight the 10000 maoists)

What else?? Well, there is british gorkha who get a lots of foreign curreny for Nepal. And also in Indian army, they do get well paid. Well it is only a small bunch of army men. A large group of army is actually in the barracks.. training, serving jernels and kernels.. Some of them actually raping the local girls! (you should ask the people living near the army barrack. they are afraid to go nearby at nights. the reason is obvious!! )

So, I changed my opinion, I think the big army is not our need. But it would be sad to dismantle it. Instead we can use this organisation for builiding our country. Building roads, bridges, hospitals, and so on . We are in great need of these infra structures. The army man get education and also they follow orders , so they are good human resource. Instead of keeping them inside the barracks, they should be mobilised for development works.

I dont think they were "rescuing the people". They were simply following the order from top. Actually the maoists who the army people killed are also Nepalese like you and me. And they are also following the orders. So, you should not say who was right and who was wrong simply by who killed whom. Both sides killed each other. But what was the intention behind the killings.. The maoists say they are fighting for revolution. The army says they are finghting against maoists to protect the people. Now to decide who is right and who is wrong we have to see what maoists are actually upto. If they are really upto a revolution in good terms and Nepal develops, I blame RNA for killing the common nepalese people. If the moists turn out to be another power hungry netas like the SPA, I thinik the army killings will be justified. So, dont be biased!
