In any western developed country she would have been charged with endangering a child's life but in Nepal she and the infant are "democratic protesters" all over the media. I pray for the safety of the child.

i had the same feeling, there were other pictures where kids were gleefully throwing stones or cryingly running after a police charge. What is CHIWIN and other concerned organizations doing. Or was it to bred new generation of citizens, who had their contributions since begining.

That's blaming the victim, is what people with heart in the west would say. You in Nepal know to blame the victim too. After all, you have to prove your intellectual high horse from the comfort of a first-world life. Come down to Kathmandu and see what the reality is like, folks, if you dare.

What if she was innocent bystander or if she happend to walking on the street? What if she was on her rooftop and stone was hurled? You guys, don't comment without knowing the context? Do you know how many innocent people are hurt and killed on this revolution? Shame on you guys living on comfort of developed country and blaming people when they want to get justice?

No MUM would take her kids into protests. Animals have sense, so do we. That is probably a picture of a mother holding her child after they were caught in the attack. Nepalese police's cunning must have caught them by surprise. Let's look at it from all angles before makin a freakin DECISION!!!

It is stupidy at its extreme. The country is under strike for last 18 days and the gov has called on curfew If someone bring a child to the mass demostation of hundred thousands people it will there parents to be blamed for but no one else. Do you think a child of 7 or 8 or even 10 years old can understand the difference between constitutional monarchy and republical democracy or what is constitutional assembly. If someone things there is NO chances of stampede in the mass demonstration even if the Army or cops do not intervene he is a fool. So, it is just the kids and there parents stupidness which are leading to these unfortunate and unwanted situation. May Lord give some Buddi to these stupid parents.

Do not take the word "Pakhe" literally... it has been used as a slang. SPA demonstrated that it is a "Pakhe" group. The reason is clear. They are not releasing the statments good enough to neither to own the demonstrations as the one they sponsered nor to take a responsibility. They are simply targetting the harvest !!!

I am not surprised that Royalists and Ranas are now worried that their glorious days have come under dark shadows.

.karmarana - they are doing as best they can. which is perhaps, not good enough for the current purposes. but this movement does not depend on them, this is a people's movement - and if the parties cannot move with the people, they'll be history too. do not underestimate people power.

What "Daman" are you talking about Mr. no more? Are you talking about 16000 people called in last 12 years? or Are you talking about the forced closure of Nepal for last 20 days? Isn't it Daman when a person who wants to work and feed his family can't work for 20 long days. Just imagine buddy what will you do when you can't work for 20 days, what will be its effect when you have family of 10 people and you are the only to work for.

.there is no need to take a long route. the daman i was talking about was the firing. case in point, the firing in tripureswor and thapathali - 5 mins from my home. if you want to talk about maobaadi atrocities, you have the figure wrong. to begin with it is not 16000 it is 13000 - exaggeration will only eat into your own credibility. and by the way, you tell me how many of that 13000 were killed by the security forces? you talk about bandhs. what about the curfew? 25 hour curfew - is that a bandh or what? and you talk about the people not being able to go to work. yes, there are a lot of people suffering. but isn't it time to put an end to all the suffering we nepali have been facing since a very long time? and of course, you so conveniently forget the other side of the conflict. if you are so concerned about the people not being able to work - my parents are among them, mind you - why do you not censure the security forces and the king. afterall, if he gives up, this revolution will quiet down too! why blame just one side? why?

how dare you calling nepali janta pakhe..what makes you so modern..if pakhe is the synonym for poor then i agree that we are the county of pakhes..if you mean to say illerate then your degree all goin in a vain.. people are fighting for there right..for their belief..for peace..for the future of that kid..they are not fighting because they are arrogant..and don't blame people for this bandha.. people are victim here..your king is making situation worse..he is not giving a damn ..we want him out of our country..that is why we are fighting.. by the way..bringing kids to protest? who is bringing kids to protest anyway?..actually protest is happening everywhere..in their playgroung, in there aagan, in their balcony..mom is not to blamed..creator of this situation is to blamed..so call king is to blamed..
