Why Nepali Democracy Failed so many times? and Kingdom is still failing? There is root problem among Nepalese people. This is base on obvious truth and reality. (1) Tharu, Dhimal, Chaudhari do Farming and Cultivation which create 2nd largest economy of Nepal. They feed Nepalese and generate capital revenue, too. These people are very poor condition. (2) Rai, Limbu, Gurung, Magar, Tamang goes to British, Singapore, Arab and Hong Kong where they earn money and send back to Nepal. These processes Nepal generate capital income, monetary transaction and generate economy of Nepal in many sectors. They also protect the world from WWI and WWII as well as other conflicts, so they earn reputation and honor from around the world for all Nepalese and Nepal. So we proudly say "We are Gurkhali". These people generate Nepal's number one economy. In another term, these people like foreign currency importer machine. These people are very self-sufficient, very friendly, extremely honest and hardworking. (3) Lama, Sherpa climb mountains and run travel agencies which creates job market and generate capital revenue as well. These people also introduce Nepal and Nepalese around the world. First Everest climber, Tenzing belong to this people. (4) Newars they do business and generate Nepal good economy as well as generate job market, too. These people are very claver business minded people. (5) Rest of all tribes of hills and flat land, these people are illiterate, poor and majority live in remote villages. (6) Bahun and Chettri, We all know these people do heavy corruption, briberies, smuggling, black-marketing, misuse power and authority, racism and all other crimes. These people do all kind of corrupt politics in Nepal, and we ordinary and true Nepalese are suffering since 5 decades or more. These people extremely untrustworthy, extremely selfish, evil minded and carry zero ethics. They can do anything for their self interest and self profit. These people 99.5% employed in Nepal Government Offices and political parties. These people govern Nepal’s law, Order, Capital Revenue, Projects, Government Offices, Arm force, Police force and Banks. Key problem of Nepal: Inequality of Citizen Rights in Nepal. Open and deep (Bahunism and Chettri) Racism in Nepal education system, employment, Social, Cultural and Political sectors. All Nepalese people are not equal in all sectors. This is a major reason Nepali Democracy and Revolution failed so many times. Key solution of Nepal: All tribal Nepalese people of Nepal must get equal opportunities in all sectors. This will consider True democracy, Citizen Rights, Human Rights, Freedom and Development. So All Nepalese people have wake up and sake up their head and heart for the country.

Stupid nonsense. You're probably doing your Master's thesis on that!! :-D Turns out, people like you who sell this nonsense are the "root problem". But if it was supposed to be a joke, then yes, you did a good job...For a humor, I think there's some truth peppered into it... :-)

Nice basically covered the nutshells in Nepali beurocracy. In deed, that is the reality in Nepal, unfortunately. Bathroomcofee seems to be annoyed with this fact. Telling and sharing the truth doesn't have to be 'Writing Paper'. 'Bahun and Chhetri' claim to be the higher class, but they cannot survive without lie. In fact, lies and deceit are the major support for Bahun's living in Nepal. Their ethics is zero. They will do anything as long as they see benefits to thier side. Even in any major political parties in Nepal, Bhahuns are in leadership ranks. This is not because they are smart but they are currupts, liers.....you name it. Look at Girija, Madhav, Surya b Thapa. Are they true politicians? Rather, they thugs.

I agree with Nice, too. Debate and talk Not necessarily has to be sweet and loving. We true and ordinary Nepalese actually sick and tired with fully of Liars and Crooks. We want Real Disgusting talk, debate, truth and reality about what is happening in Nepal and future of Nepalese. To “Echoes”, “Newlynew”, “Bathroomcoffee”, you all better learn to be educated, civilized, and responsible and be moral. Nice is not racist and stupid. Nice seems to me very well knowledgeable honest person. Therefore.... Yes, Truth matters always disgusting, stinky but we must live with it. Face the Truth, Reality, and Learn to accept your wrong deeds. Then learn to take responsibility and accountability for your deeds. Be civilized Nepalese.

Yes, Mr. Nice, I am a bahun and I agree with the statement. Bahuns don't lack anything. They are the most educated, fair and handsome, polite, skillful, clever, intelligent, smart, good speakers, they have the attitude to do anything, they can convince anyone with their words, they are religious and believe in truth and peace. But, Bahuns motto is by hook or crook, they always want to be on top, and they want that without doing any hardwork. They are viruses who only know consumption. They use their knowledge only to preach, but they can't follow what they say. They use their tricks to divide people so they can rule. The main example of this is the caste system. They don't fight openly to show themselves more sophisticated and classy but they always do cold wars even among themselves. Even within brahmans, there are divisions like kumai, jaisi, upadhyay. Coz it is always struggle within themselves too to claim their superiority. They are not nice and hardworking group of people, they never have been. Never in history, one can find a bahun farmer, a bahun businessman or a bahun worker. They always sat on fancy couch and preached ripping other people in the name of religion. So attention, all bahuns, try to intermingle with rest of the casts in nepal to lead a simple and happy life. Think once, what have you given to your country except corrupt government and unsuccessful administrators?

i don't think racism has anything to do with the downfall of democracy or monarchy of nepal. We cannot just point someone at higher level to be bahun or chhetry, and put a thought of racism behind the fall. if you look at social and political culture of nepal, we are very very traditionalist. no matter what, we tend go by what we have been told to. that said, i am trying to say that we follow the same principle that we have been for ever. very few brahmin wants to go into millitary or aviation or farming, very few chherty wants be in production or manufacturing, all vaishayas wants to be either merchant (business) or in agriculture, and sudras they are doing what they are doing.. smithing, factory workers... and all ethnic community outside the varna system are doing what you've said ealier.. if everyone were equal how will you run a kingdom or nation. there has to be a division of labor and accordingly beneficial to all. you only select the best goat or chicken to be cut by a butcher (unless you are KFC). same thing, you only select someone you think can run the nation better, and it always comes through stages and chains of command. if the king or prime minister were to really identify problems, then they'd ahve speak to everyone, but they can't.. so there are ministers and secretaries... i think your arguments should be based on corruption and bribery rather than racism in Nepal. But when talk about changing this concept, we are talking about changin the entire culture of nepal.

<< >> What a comparison? Pulling out a chicken from a flock to slit and electing someone to be a ruler of a country is same thing? The above statement is just a mere traditional thinking, yes, in the past, if you were born in a bahun family, you could definitely read and write without going to school, if you were a sarki, you would know how to make shoes without having any professional training, and so on. But today, it is not the same case. Even many brahmans are in the armies and police, newars and mongols in administration, chhetries are in business.

Nepali Democracy is not failing. It is just going through one of its phases, the usual phase that every country's democracy has to go through.... give itself a some time and stop wasting your time thinking why it is failing but try to think how we can improve it!!

To "Echoes", ...., you all better learn to be educated, civilized, and responsible and be moral. You guys probably have degrees in social sciences, and I think that's really good for you. :-) However, the issue here is that of racial stereotyping and generalization and I have my reasons to reject Nice's claims. It is true that the country's resources are not proportionally distributed in Nepal (or any developing country) among the various different ethnic groups. And that IS obviously a problem. It is also true that not all ethnic groups are appropriately represented in the bureaucracy or the governments. That IS also a problem. However, if we are attribute these problems (or successes, for that matter) to the inherently present characteristics of a particular race, then that implies that we believe that certain castes/races are automatically more capable of doing (or prone to) certain things than other castes/races. This tends to justify the caste system, so I completely reject it. So I think it's about time YOU (the educated!) guys woke up and stopped justifying and promoting the caste system...

This thread is playing blame game to particular ethnic groups. There are many different ethnic ministers under chettri, bahun and Newar Prime Minster, aren’t they corrupt? Even in developed country like US has many corruption, how can minister of Nepal ignored it. Corruption does not belongs to particular ethnic group, it belongs nature of particular people. This is narrow minded thread to blame chettri, bhaun, newar and other ethnic people.

We must not do like Nepali proverb: "Kukur le Guhu Khayo bhandai ma, Aphoo le pani Guhu Kha ko" You should not judge that who or which race people are capable for what? This mentality is a major problem of racist.
