it will be much cheaper and wiser if you just do masters from the US and do rest of the education from nepal.

Dirty Minded, send him to India. Have him study engeneering or science. Have him come over here for masters. he will be our boss.

Dirty Minded, send him after slc of highschool. Send him at least 40000 dollars with him. If you can't then. don't make an innocent life a slave.

Dirty Minded, I would with no doubt send my son/daughter to KU. Hell most US highschool graduates can't even spell in English , forget about maths and sceince. If you want your loved one to succeed give them opportunity to learn , not opportunity to serve indian or paki gastation owners.

you make a reasonable decision...

Dirty-minded, u must be kidding when u tried to generalise comparasion of Lincoln school and any high school of US? It depends on what US school u r talking abt. If it's the one that my friend here went, hell 'no'. He said that only 5 out of 70 students in his class could make to college and 3 of them dropped out already. According to him, the irony is that it was top 10 high schools of that particular county. Have you ever learned about all kinds of problems of sex, drugs n' all other assaults at schools? Well again, we should not generalise.

My point was that it's good to learn both good and bad parts of here. If you followed that thread thoroughly, I was trying to raise voice against making any generalization, whether against southern states or black people.

Also DirtyMinded, please do not base your decision on some assumptions or false impressions. Dirty Minded, please think seriously and do some research about the schools here. I am so glad that you came to sajha.

its not about working in gasstation broda!!!. its about the american degree....and plz dont ask me wat u can do with a grad. american degree!!!.
if u get a graduate degree in school of nepal; then u dont get a shit in US. but, if u atleast hav a american ud.graduate degree then u can atleast work a white color job.

and working in gas-station. yea, if u dont hav money then yea...u gotta work there. money jus doesnt grow!!! if ur father is a rich ass then u dont hav to do shit!!!.

Dirty minded, how do you know so much about White collar jobs in the usa? I have seen lots of graduates living illegal because they could not get thier opt ( optional practical training) extended to H1 after the graduation.
Some even joining another degree after one degree just to keep thier status alive. hmmmm maybe i'm living in a different america then you are talking about. and hmmm let's see how many ppl who come from third world county has become ceo. i would think none.. maybe some of those smart indians who did not waste time on thier undergrad here in the usa..
if i were you i would wash my face with cold water, send my brother to India for undergrad and have him apply for assistanceship for masters.
Undergrad degree means no shit in the usa anymore... it's leangthy, expensive and valued no better than any Indian coming here for masters degree with undergraduation from India.

>> Bullshit, most immigrants don't even get to go to upper level management. hell, don't even get an entry level now a days because of the limited H1 quota. if he somehow manages to get to work here, then i would doubt if they'll let him become CEO just cuz he can mispell or can't add. Most ceo's have masters degrees with years of expirence. But that is not the only criterial, most 99% of them are white with rich family to start with.
there are things we can do easy ways and achieve more, and there are things we can do by hard ways and still achieve nothing. you need to make the choice.

Also, one think i don't understand, ppl do extreme research when they buy things in Nepal. even when buying tarkarees they argues for minutes with the seller. however major decision about life and career like this , why do they base on assumptions?
why is dirtyminded not even willing to look into our advices.
Does dirtyminded think that we are having so much fun over here and we are scared that his brother might take away those fun away or we are scared that we need share with him that is why we are doing our best to prevent him from coming here???
