This is a forwarded email It doesn't reflect my opinion... Some naïve NRNs (Not Relevant Nepali) in USA have been torturing many with their misguided and misinformed write-ups that defame Nepal and annoy us Nepali upholding the national pride. Is it because how they think ......... 1. I love Nepal, that’s why I don’t live there anymore. 2. I know better how Nepal should run because I have the experience of running away from Nepal. 3. I know what is good for Nepal because I have seen so many GOODS in stores of USA. 4. I know what democracy is because I just mastered the skill of spelling it correctly - D E M O C R A C Y - that too in American English ! Yahooo 5. I feel it my responsibility to speak up for Nepal and Nepali people because nobody gives a hoot about what I speak in the country that I now live in. 6. Sujata Koirala and/or Murari Sharma are the true leaders of Nepali people, not the King, because they paid me to come to a protest rally in New York and the King did not. I did not have to refund the money when the King did not show up. This shows true leadership. 7. USA is a nice country and life here is good because there is no monarchy. Life in Nepal is so bad because there is monarchy. Remove the King and Nepal will be like USA tomorrow in the same way that KP Bhattarai promised to turn Nepal into Singapore upon being elected! 8. There is no Human-Rights in Nepal because my professor told me that I am a Human and I know that I am always Right. Therefore, how can there be human right in Nepal when I am in USA? 9. As a Nepali-passport holder, I feel it my moral responsibility to defame my motherland and Nepalis at large. Will it also defame me as a Nepali? Of course not, I am living in outside Nepal! 10. Don't tell me that something is going good in Nepal because I may get tempted to return and I hate to drive in the congested roads of Kathmandu. 11. Compared to the personal opinion of a Nepali in Nepal on Nepali politics, the opinion of a NRN like me should be given the higher value in proportion to the exchange rate between Nepali Rupiya and the US Dollar. 12. Tell me more on what's going wrong in Nepal so that I could further justify me running away from my country that I love so much. If you don't, I will do it myself with some imagination of my own. Where should I start ? okay, what about from saying nasty things about the King first? 13. There are many things that I can do for my Nepal from here. Okay, let me start from foul mouthing about the King first, easy haha – no risk, no responsibility, no accountability,......good !! 14. USA is making progress because I am working here. Nepal is not making any progress because I am not there. However, I often do e-mail them giving good advice so that they can prosper too with my ideas on Nepali politics, economics, philosophy and everything else under the sun. What more can I do for them? - starting a new website may be a good idea, or what about organizing a protest rally in a nearby park? What else ....let me think....... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Again it is a forwarded email message

In my opinion 85% true........... (except Monarchy thing) Compared to the personal opinion of a Nepali in Nepal on Nepali politics, the opinion of a NRN like me should be given the higher value in proportion to the exchange rate between Nepali Rupiya and the US Dollar. -----------Ha ha ha ha ha ha---------------------

dyamn true.. My life is hell. Nepalis in America work hard like donkeys and have no money. Students work like slaves in hope to get reward of H1b, which is like now a days fishing in a acid pond.DV lottery winners can't find better than a glorious gas station job and working for Indian or Nepai restaurant run by some greedy immigrants themselves who came little earlier and who pay 900 to 1200 a month as your 14 hours a days savery reward. Please don't come. Stay in Nepal. Do not get false image of life over here by seeing some USA students swiping thier credit cards in thamel. When they come back here they go to estes park or Ocean city MD and work like slaves. If you like freedom, if you do not like to get treated ilke how madisheys get treated in Nepal, and if you like to have a famiy and a secure life , and not a donkey life, stay in Nepal.

let's bring out the real thing rather than giving false impression that every Nepali is rich and famouse in this country. Most Nepali do not even have socially secure life in the usa becuase they are in student status or in h1b status which can go away any time. Most Nepali, besides the very few work 2 jobs 12 to 16 hours a day. And it's not like desk job. they are mostly jobs where you have to move around . You get tired like shyt. yes my dear Nepali brothers and sisters please do not come over unless you win DV lottery or you get married with an American citizen. Please stay in Nepal and enjoy your life.

Nicely written by some DIE-HARD royalist. Well how about the revised version of the above thing.... .... 1We love Nepal, that’s why we talk about our motherland in Sajha. 2. Nepal is not being run properly. Everybody has a right to talk about how to run their motherland properly. 3. We know what is good for Nepal because we love our motherland, and we were not born in certain family to live lavishly on tax payer’s money. 4. We don’t have a doctorate in democracy but we know for sure king’s elected cabinet is not a democratic establishment. We mastered the skill of spelling it correctly -- D E M O C R A C Y – We are proud of it, some people inside the royal palace still can’t. 5. We feel it our responsibility to speak up for Nepal and Nepali people because we love our motherland and from heart we do not belong to any other promised land. 6. We know a person doesn’t become an effective leader by taking birth in certain family.Thats why we are reluctant to obey someone whose great great great grandfather was a conqueror. 7. USA is a nice country and life here is good because there is democracy and there is no monarchy. Life in Nepal is so bad because Nepal is being run by a king who never proved his potential to lead the country. Remove the King and Nepal will be like USA tomorrow in the same way the PEOPLE of USA made USA out of an uninhabited land, the PEOPLE of NEPAL will make a HEAVEN out of A TYRANT RULED COUNTRY. 8. There are Human-Rights in Nepal, but only if you are born inside a palace built by tax payer’s hard earned money. 9. As a Nepali-passport holder, we feel it our moral responsibility to discuss the situation of our motherland and Nepalis at large. Will the situation in Nepal affect us? Of course, We are Nepali and everything we have is in Nepal. 10.Tell us that something is going good in Nepal because We want to get tempted to return and we love the beauty of our motherland. 11. Compared to the personal opinion of a Nepali in Nepal on Nepali politics, the opinion of a NRN like us should be given equal value because we believe in equal rights and have seen it in practice. 12. Tell us more on what's going wrong in Nepal so that we could further justify the need of civilian supremacy in our country that we love so much. If you don't, we will find out from some independent news source through the internet. No matter how much a tyrant tries to hide his oppressions, it comes to the public anyway. 13. There are many things that we can do for our Nepal from here. Okay, let me start from advocating for civilian supremacy first, hard to obtain – lots of risk, responsibility for our fellow citizens. 14. USA is making progress because PEOPLE are ruling here. Nepal is not making any progress because civilian supremacy is not there. However, we often do come out of shell and try to fight the tyrant. IT IS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL NOW—THE TYRANT HAS TO GO NOW. BYE BYE

I agree with f22's version; not the one written by some slaves at the first. I guess that I might know some people here who feels that way.

Hear hear f22. Can't help it if some people are stupid. Just because I am outside of Nepal does NOT mean Nepal is outside of me. Nepal will always be inside of me. And I will always talk about Nepal: its drawbacks, its issues, its beauty, its advantages and, yes, its people. Sometimes, I do feel I have better perspective of things in Nepal precisely because I am outside of Nepal. If some dumbass with stick up his/her butt feels otherwise, so what?

The perspective of a Nepali living aboard especially US has nose dived in Nepal especially in Kathmandu, after knowing how people survive here and how people mislead (guff) about their existence in US. I heard someone got married claiming that he has computer science degree and is the Chief Security Officer in a major corporation, only after the marriage the bride found out that the person is a garage attendant. These types of lies and lack of understanding of US living gives a false impression of a Nepali living in US. Having said that there ARE very successful Nepali immigrants with professional careers and living in million, multi million dollar houses (this is the first criteria of success – I guess.) Separating these two extremes is not going to be easy for anyone without knowing the details. This thread does shed a light on some of the stereotypes! Thank you, I enjoyed this thread. -Shiv

Sure, we're heading into the generation of ignorance. Anything that contradicts you, blame it on the monarchy or the political parties or the maoists. CLAP CLAP CLAP! Even light hearted humor needs to be politicized. What made me really chuckle was the fact that some truly believe that people in KTM, except ashu, would be reading NRN's perspective about nepal and giving it a serious consideration. hahahahah! We really do believe people in KTM and Nepal have time to surf on all day and read huh? Yah! I guess they do. I mean they don't even need to worry about showering everyday. No water BABY!

f22, You post further exemplifies what the original post was trying to say. Yeah, you did attempt a rebuttal, but in that haste you didnt sit and think that your post shows that how incapable you and your kind are of coming up with anything original. As I have stated numerous times before all the die hard Nepalese who seem to know whats good for them should go back and fight for so called human rights in Nepal. Heck anyone can say anything over this internet. My dick can write better paragraphs than some of your idiots!
