This poll is kind a like KIng's election. No choice for the most valid agenda. I also wouldn't participate as there is no option for democracy or republican democracy.

bidwan-jee, What you don't realize is that (b) is a constant and present in every Nepali political equation. Your (a) already has (b) in it...You just don't realize it... So it's like this: Let's say you must choose one from the two debts: b) X = i a) Y = X + k Where (i > 0 and k > 0 because i = India; k = King) Would you prefer to have debt a over debt b? Do a simple math! Plug-in the numbers!

Are you fukin kidding me? YOu would rather have dhotis rule us than be ruled by the king??? fuking get your priorities straight. Is everyone fuking dhoti ass kisser or something? We can get rid of the king and have our own elected government but we have to fight the indian propaganda and indian ploy to take over Nepal. People fuking think before you say shit.

why does india have to take Nepal over??? everything is basically controlled by them already except the name Nepal. from politicians, royal family, salt, sugar, borders, oil... if we had a nice chinese city in the north, it'd be another case, but we got freakin tibbet that is so hard to bring any supplies from. grr...gr. landlocked country and bad indian policies never allow nepal to go up.

No matter how much control india has over nepal right now, we don't have to be under their rule right now. We are not under their command in our daily lives right now. Imagine indian army or indian police in Nepal telling you to do things. Imagine indian police in the capital whisking away your freedom telling you what to do. I know we have to get rid of monarchy but first and foremost, we have to make sure that Nepal does not come under indian rule. We have to make sure that the mufukin politicians do not sell our Nepal to Indian rule.

If Nepal won't exist, we no longer will be called so Nepali. King rulling overthe country with autocratic regime looks bad but India ruling over Nepal as one state of India..? Big Fook no. Let not Nepal be another Bhutan. I guess India takes care of foreign and defence matter of Bhutan...don't wanna see that in Nepal. nivaN

Right now it is looking more and more like monarchy is going to go which would be greaaaat if we had a strong political parties to hold up the country. If monarchy goes then it will pave the path for India to take over. All the politicians seem to be the puppets of India right now anyways. They have already sold parts of Nepal that is why India is taking over in various parts of the borders. Why do you think the politicans don't say a word about it? That is because they promised certain parts of Nepal to india for helping to get them in power during the last so called democracy. Now when India comes and takes over the promised land, the politicians don't even speak one word against it. We hear isolated news every few days about Nepali land being encroached by india. Nepali people are being shooed away from their land, and yet NOT EVEN ONE POLITICIAN is standing up about it. So, yes all you patriotic people, just wait and see until India takes over our soverignty. We need to say NO to India's interference in our country. We need to raise our voice against India taking Nepali Land forcibly. It is really happening. It is not a joke.

change your name to "murkha". this is a controversial subject. I remember, BBC once had an online-poll-and-discussion on a similiar subject. that was some 5 yrs back or so... and, eventually, even the then Nepalese gvt had to hold a press conf. every country in this world is influenced by another. some are even ruled by mafia.. and nepal is no exception, neither is india. the fact that our political stuff is not going on well doesnt mean that we want to be ruled by someone else. as a nepali, i want to remain nepali. i am not nepali because gyane or his predecessors were ruling. it is because of "dodhare" and "daichiure" like you who dont have confidence on your countrymen that the national identity is at stake. gorakhkali mai le nepal ko kalyan garun.

hey people let me remind you the fate of bhutan is because of the monarchy there. so we will be like bhutan if monarchy is active. so kick them out. do u seriously think gyane is keeping indians out of nepal? u must be kiddin'. panches spreading nepal will be a part of india is like george bush taking about the weapon of mass destruction. Trying to scare nepalese and ruling. well! panches it ain't 1960 where 4% of the whole population were educated. so try something else. If india wanted nepal would have lost it's name long time ago. comming to think of it all the terrority that belonged to nepal that were taking by british are doing great. see around it and look at us. look beyond mechi and beyond mahakali look at the development phase they are going through. do u think darjeeling would have train or even road if it was a part of nepal or even deheradun and atleast those people don't have to worry about losing their freedom anymore. we are in constant terrorised by palace and panches again and again.

Good survey!! The ever gullible Nepali jantas do not realize that if the king is gone, in the name of "democracy" India will takeover Nepal. Girija's last act in this planet would be to hold a democratic referandum to join India... thny he would have achieved what he set out to do.
