I have nothing but complete admiration for the man if he is doing what he seems to be doing.

I would assume 90% of his Namastes go in vain out there on the street. I feel like helping the man with whatever I can...just $10 dollars probably will save a lot of his genuine Namastes to "we-are-sick-of-these-magnes" type of thula badas.

It's pity that these kind of stuff happens way too often with many of our Nepalese brothers & sisters. Indeed, the picture epitimozies the boding and love the man has for his wife. ( Assuming that they are a couple)

Even though the MRI is done, its obvious the family needs much more.

Even if we collect $200-$300, it would definately HELP THEM BIG TIME.

I will support you, but i dont know, how we send the money directly to the needed person. Why dont we create a fund, so everyone who is interested can donate as little as they can which will be great help for the needed one not only in Nepal but people are here in US as well.

I say Yes it does. But does one has to carry their beloved on the back and beg on the street to prove it, I think not on the premise that the person has other means to support his expenses.

US bhako lai chai afford garna garo nai huncha. Besides we have insurance and other means. Yes garna sakincha ra milyo bhane garcha hola. But for the needy in Nepal who comes to the light, for them, few hundred dollars would be god send miracle. Come to think of it. In less that a dollar (Rs72) they can surive a day or two.

Yeh if it is viable,first lets donate small amount and help this couple. Every body of us has the heart to donate our one hour's earning for them.
But this is not a solution. There are many in the streets with same problems unnoticed by KTM post or abc post.Why not we think something that can really make a difference? Sajha must have thousands of members. Those members must have some more of their known ones in the countries world wide. And their are other Nepali forums and organisations. Why not we all residing outside the country launch a campaign to raise fund for an MRI facility in Bir Hospital. The NRNs talk a lot, and demand privileges for investment. But why don't they think about one MRI in Bir Hospital? Tens of thousands of Nepalese are in US, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia and other rich countries. Can't we all donate 50 or 100 dollars for one MRI in Bir Hospital? Is there anybody in sajha who says I can't? देशका लागि गति एउटा काम गर्न सकिन्न साथीहरु?

To give donation and collection money might not be problem for good purpose for Nepal.

Nepalses OP = Ordinary people
Nepalese BPR = Business person, Politicians, Rich people

Nepalese OP can not trust another Nepalese BPR. That is not fault of Nepalese OP. But Nepalese OP must not trust Nepalese BPR. Therefore we should not do donation and monetary contribution in false propoganda of help.

Nepalese BPR are corrupt and crooks.

Where are donation money desapearing - UN donation, Indian donation, Japanese donation, Chinese donation, Korean donation, USA donation, Russian donation, world bank donation, Asian development bank donation and donation from all over the world.

If you donate medical equipment and tool to hospital, next day will see those equipments and tools at doctors private clinics. And old malfunction equipments and tools, you can see at hospital room.

Why Nepalese need donation?

First, Nepalese need good and strong law, order, rule and regulation in medical care.

Like If you do medical practice or job in hospital or government hospital, you can not do medical practice in your or other private business. It must be bound by law, order, rule and regulation to control corruption and crimes.

Then donation and contribution to Nepal will be effective....

Lets try to convince as many like minded people as possible. lets think positively and make a resolve that we can do this. This can happen.
Ok I am busy at my work right now. We start a new thread for this soon, in the next few hours, talk to San and to others within a couple of days. Lets start the work. The money will be in a special account managed by San or a group of people in one or many accounts. If we could not make enough amount for the MRI in 6 months, we shall identify another usage of that money for Nepal. But I think MRI is not such a huge huge deal, for which poor nepalese have to beg in streets every weeks, every days. Lets make up our mind now. Pls think positively guys. It's not about giving some money for individuals. It's about contributing substantial amount (50-100$) by each and every individuals residing in Europe America and East Asia to install an MRI facility in Bir Hospital. Can you donate that much amount once in your life time so that Nepalese who can't afford treatment in expensive private hospitals don't have to beg in the streets for help? Leave the possibilies of irregularity, trust yourself and promise to donate if you think the cause is trustworthy. Can you donate that much? Your earnings of some hours? Tell us yes if you can.

HI, I can't reply to everyone now. I will post an extensive detail about the idea in Sajha by tomorrow evening. You read that and if you are convinced we can do, say yes or else stay away. What I am saying is set up an account under San's control, appeal for donations from Nepalese communities world wide.First San himself has to be convinced. Substantial donation of 50 - 100 $.not 5 or 10 dollar of khaye ha nakhae ghich. Once enough amount for setting up a MRI facility is raised, buy the equipment and ship it to Kathmandu and hand it over to the hospital administration through contributers of Sajha in Kathmandu. Really challenging. Tara Ek Baji Gaari Heramnata sathi haru bhanne mero binamra anurodh ho. Ma pani hajur haru jastai sadharan aukat ko manchhe ho. Maile sakne kura hajur haru sabaile saknu hunchha.
