PRESS RELEASE I, Gagan Kumar Thapa, in my capacity as a former general secretary of Nepali student wing affiliated to the Nepali Congress deeply condemned the move of King Gyanendra who has assumed the absolute power on the 1st of February, 2005 at 10.25 a.m. (Nepali time) through his royal proclamation. He has suspended all the democratic rights and values of the constitution of 1990 that has been materialise by the people of Nepal by laying their precious life. He has further put the leaders of all the political parties in the house arrest and has captured the young leaders and sent them to the army barracks. We don't know about their status. The media has been put into strictest survelliance by the security forces. My life is under severe threat as I have been advocating for the Republic set-up in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. So far I am safe and sound. But anything can happen with my life. My free movement has been curtailed. My family members are simultaneously receiving the threats and are passing through a mental trauma from the security personnel. I hereby, call upon the international media, humanrights organisations, United Nations, and all the peace and freedom lover people and governments of the world to act quickly upon a highly deteriorating human rights violation that is taking place in Nepal. Since the communication has been cut-off and the emergency been imposed since the royal proclamation, we know nothing about the whereabouts of many democratic political leaders and their status. Many of them are believed to be killed by the security forces. I would like to thank everyone helping us to fight against the authoritarian rule that has disguised itself in the name of democracy and human rights. Sincerely, Gagan Kumar. Thapa Former-General Secretary, Nepal Student (Affiliated to the Nepali Congress). Name of the key leaders, human rights activists and social activist missing in Nepal. 1. Narhari Acharya (Nepali Congress) 2. Kundan Kafle (Student leader- affiliated with the Nepali Congress) 3. Pradeep Nepal ( leader of the CPN-UML) 4. Roop Narayan Shrestha (student leader of the CPN- UML) 5. Khagendra Sangraula ( Social activist) 6. Kishor Singh Rathor (Student leader of the Nepali Congress Democratic) Some of the leaders who have been put into house Arrest 1. Girija Pd. Koirala ( Senior leader & President of the Nepali Congress) 2. Madhav Kr. Nepal (Senior leader & Secretary of CPN UML) 3. Pashupati Shamsher (Senior leader & President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party) 4. Daman Nath Dhungana ( Former Speaker of the house of representatives and presently a human-rights activist). And many more but their names have not yet been confirmed

Gagan along with countless Nepalis here who have overstayed or otherwise been out-of-status can claim to be Maoist, Girija-man, Makune-man, Deuba-man, Jana Morcha-man and even Pashupati-man and go make a case for political asylum. Instant work authorization and guaranteed approval. Wow! King G might have inadvertently helped a whole slew of Nepalis in their quest for US residency.:)

( knowing that you might not be able to read this, but nevertheless could not help but express my SENTIMENTS) Mr. Gagan K. thapa, Are you not that same guy, who was photographed with "aabir, akshata "and big mass rally, in kathmandu post and kantipur few months ago. And your VICTORY was... arrrrrrrr what was that? Pardon me, but i could not recall any worthwhile thing that the students and their leaders aka people like you, doing any credible thing in the past 14 years on our (so called) democracy. Now wait, I did not say I do not remember anything, did i? Ofcourse I remeber the likes of you, burning, chairs and desks in colleges and universities, destroying fences by the road, throwing stones and pebbles, burning tyres and causing mass disturbance, paying illetrate (in the true sense) educated (student?) sheeps, putting them in harms way for your selfish cause, burning cars, buses, causing road block, with numerous kathmandu bands and the list goes on. Hmmmmmmmm ... now that i have recalled everything that you did for us (Nepalese) I am so f@#$%ing worried about your safety and am mourning, albiet too early for the (could be) loss of our NEXT great leader/S. Give me a F@#$4ing break. Of people you mentioned from no. 1-6, I don't give a rat's ass, and neither does any (read most) Nepalese. But wait, are they not the same QUALIFIED leaders who falls in to the privileged category of the (likes of yours)? Awwww.. common now, how can i be so ruthless. With their resume as strong as yours, they are our future. They should be kept in Soltee/Radisson or better still send to Nikabar Island for vacation :). And frankly, are you trying to make a mockery of yourself by expressing the name of Girija baje and makune ( even though less felonious than G baje)? G baje and PERHAPS makune, but certainly G baje could be shot dead for all i care. And please do not worry about Pashupati, our despised King Gyane will not harm him. After all they share kinship and more or less coequal philosophy. One does not kill one's pet dog (read Pashupati), even though it seems to bark every now and then when other street dogs bark at him/her. You know it's the nature of the dog to return the barkings. And about Daman, frankly, he may not be any different from those Great (read inept) leaders, but perhaps a (little?) spanking for him, and he would be safe. With Arzoo's pleading Deuba (Rana :)) the puppet :), should do fine (though disgraced), after all he does not have any etiquette left. I feel bad for him. Now he can not spend 3-4 "lakhs" for his wine and dinner in a week on government's ( read = ours aka yours and mine) expense. But he should do fine, he has amassed a plenty for his next 7 posteritys ( at least), just like most of our great leader. It is unfortunate that such great leaders and future leaders ( read blood sucking insects) with such exemplary stigma attached , should feel threated. I am worried. Awww lord, have mercy for they are ASSHOLES from another ASSHOLE. DUH! Disgusted, IndisGuise:-O P.S: Please consider it my appreciation for all the great deeds you and your colleagues did. However, I sympathize for any family members and their loved ones who do not have any or less qualifications of the likes of you. As much as i would like, i ail myself to force to pray for safety for the people like the one mentioned above. All i can say is, for all the venial sins that you guys committed, perhaps you all could be punished humanly. Sorry that's the best I could do.

If I couldhave been in place of Gyanu, then I would have shoot all these so called democratic leaders who shouts for democracy only when their rights are curbed. Why didn't they think about democracy when maobadi had restricted general nepali people to speak against them? Isn't it violation of civil rights? These fu***ng leaders don't think about rights of people, instead think only about their rights to speak and do monopoly.Go to hell leader like you.

That was pretty shrewd of Gagan Thapa to come out with the press release proclaiming that his life is in grave danger. Now that this PR is out in the net, he will have some leverage should the security people come knocking on his door. Very shrewd indeed. And as Poonte said, a well thought out step on laying out the background for possible refugee application. Hyaaaa... now I am being too cynical. However pugnacious these so called Netas like him are, I do hope that if he does get arrested, he will go through due process rather than becoming one more name in the growing "bepatta" list.

If he was a true leader and lover of Nepal, he should be booking flights to Nepal not whining about his security when rest of his gurus and superiors are in risk of their lives. Shame on you. Gagan Thapa. Is he the first so called leader to make statement here? Bravo Indisguise for your comments.

ear Gagan, Personally i feel really bad to hear about you.. in a sense.. your mom and dad are suffering which is not good at any cost. and when it comes ethicial things.. i am sorry gagan.. your words has no affect on me. i graduated from Tri Chandra college.. and i have known you personally and not only you.. i have known all of ur frens you mostly bragged for.. once upon a time. i know its not a good time to pull how notoriously you had worked in TC now... but i would definately want to tell you now.. that it was an exam and the center was in PK .. and i have seen guards doing nothing but closing their eyes if gagan thapa was in the room.. .and same goes for baburaja too... and so many of you guys... and ur image just crumbled for me from that time.... honestly! when it comes to ethics i dont take ur words for granted.. i am always suspicious about your every word... coz you know you are a good liar too.... oh yea.. how could i forget to mention one more fellow.. Chiring Dorje... he is one of ur right hands.. and he just ingulped all the money which my class was supposed to use to go for botanical tour... you guys are too much... and when i asked campus cheif .. why in the world somebody just ingulped money which was ours.. and he is from the student union and we would not be going for botanical tour.. its not good ... they violated students right. campus cheif told me to do signature campaign and he would void the check that chiring dorje alredy ingulped... guess what???? i did signature campaign.. and everyone from my class was there.. and suddenly.. i got death threats.. wow!!! see the difference.. i also got death threats Mr. Gagan... why you are crying now???? its not new over there... its all about wheel of fortune now... i am glad.. this time you asked for help.... yea.. i can pray for your life.. and definately i do not want ur mom and dad to get hurt from any angle... time has changed gagan... you should change too... i have really bad picture of urs.. and i have seen you from very close... change urself.. else you never get my support. opps.. sorry guys i talked a lot about gagan..... one more thing.. a teacher has been killed in front of his student... all the students were locked in the class room.. and they were watching it from the window.. that their teacher was tied in the trunk of huge tree.. and beaten up so badly.. blood every where... and it was brutle murder... he was killed by hitting on testes.... do you think those kids who have seen that brutle murder could ever get out of their psycological trauma???? killing at any cost is not good.. i do not support killing... but what if 11,000 nepalese got killed upto yet... and no body ever want to take responsiblity of the problem.. i pity on nepali politics... and yes one more thing.... if somebody now.. kill Girija Koirala or Madhav Nepal or CP mainali.. or Bamdeb Gautam or Prachanda or Baburam or khumbahadur or bijay gachheddar or Mr. Oli or whatever hitting on their testes.. i swear to god now.. i wont feel pity.. rather i feel like its a tribute to that teacher who has been killed so brutally ..... why in the world you expect..i would support these junk or trash leaders in the country. At least for now, all we need in nepal is peace... and get rid of these maoist problems... its now obvious.. somebody is coming up front with his chest open.. and with loud, clear and determined voice .. and admitting that he is now taking responsibilities of anything that is going to happen in the country. he is the person who has courage to be responsible which all our leaders lacked. we need to be in tune with time.. once in a while we thought monachy was not good.. and established democracy..but now.. with the rise of different chronic problems that the country is suffering from... personally, i think all we need is a man who has courage to hold responsibility for anything happening in the courty. King Gyanendra has no one to blame if he fails. so lets support him for his good work. and for god sake.. lets not be stupid again.. and protest for democray.. when i see nepalies protesting for democray i feel like we are running for nothing again... a race for nothing.. lets be specific.. its time to go for a goal. and this time goal is peace.. and getting rid of maoist problem. i wanna add one more incident, when maoist revolution was just crawling, they killed somebody belongs to nepali congress, and only nepali congress had big vocal against that incident.. and what i saw in the paper was... all other parties were giving statement in the paper as if the person who was killed was not good... and indirectly they were giving statement to support maoist then.. but what about law and order... no one cared about law and order..how can you ignore murdering someone even if he was good bad.. its not maoist's responsibilities to judge peoplel.. and after a while.. maoist started killing a communist.. see what happened this time... nepali congress kept silence.. and Communist (madhav nepal's one) had big vocal.. but at the same time.. communist (bam dev's one) was keeping silence.. and no wonder.. .then maoist killed a general public... guess what happned this time?>???? same on all these leaders... every body kept silence.... they started seeing people as congress and communist rather than perople as people. and i blame all those leaders of nepal for the murder of 11,000 nepalies.. and tears of 11,000 mothers and 11,000 widows.. and trust me.. none of these leader ever thought of taking responsiblity of murder of any single nepali. its been a long comment, and thank you for reading it. personally, i am glad at least someone in the country has courage to take responsilibity.. and lets not hear those farud appeal.. or before reading their appeal.. please feel the screams of mothers of 11,000.. widows of 11,000 ... childrens of 11,000... this is so intensified choir of scream.. i could not hear those appeals from so called our political leaders.

Gagan thapa , Its good that you are not under house arrest. Your political GURU randi ko baan girija is in house arrest. Because of damn fuking politicians ( you were about to make it into this category ) , most of the nepalese today are in the position of not being able to denounce such a move by the king. Everyone knows , this kind of events does nothing more than increasing unstability, isolation from the world .Despite all this, it is pretty clear that the kings move has about 60% approvel from the king. I am wondering that you fear your life , were you not the same gagan thapa who said " DESH KO LAGI RAGAT BAGAUNA PANI TAYAR CHHAU " . sorry body , its time now . Your union and party is the main culprit for most of the wrongdoings in the country , you enjoyed democracy ( not people ) , now its time to give your life for the country. I am sure your MAHAN neta's ( mothe f**kers ) like Gobinda raj Joshi , Khum bahadur khadka will have the biggest say against this move by kings move , cause , they may not get chance to illegally use the nations wealth. TIMIHARU KO BHAGYA BHANEKO BHEDA JASTA JANTA PAYEKA CHHAU , Herdai jau kahile samma chalne ho . Gagan i certainly hope you will continue to be unharmed and may there be a day when people beg for your life and happiness rather than you doing it for yourself.
