they are all the same. pathetic, cowards hungry for money or power so to say. I am sick of seeing their faces, hearing their lies, and rubbish. i guess we need a new leader who has a vision for nepal (not just for himself). Someone who is very charismatic, who can guide and bring together people with different views. I wonder if we will ever get to see my ideal president. perhaps, he/she will show up when i will die. But the irony is my coming generations won't know much about Nepal then. forget about nepal, all my hopes have died. As far as Us goes john kerry is on my side( after all , we live in the same town)

People here are saying we need a new and stronger leader for Nepal as if they are the propounders of this theory! If you just realized that we need a new, good leader, you are probably too late in realization. The point is: where do we get this new, miraculous leader from? I am positive s/he won't fall from the sky (although I am hoping s/he will :)). Everybody seem to know the end, any thoughts on the means? My idea: How about we all get into politics after we think we are well equipped with whatever tools are necessary! That might take ages, but the day will come, hoina ta? If we expect this great leader to fall from the sky, s/he might never fall! Now, if you ARE as worried about the country to the extent you pretend here to be, you should now be raising your hands! Are you?

my mum taught me not to talk about politics and religion. I knew i would be grounded. M.P we have waited long enough . I am not one of those who is pretending. I care about Nepal. I agree that we should come up with a plan . But isn't that why politicians are here for? we have seen enough now. I have read that countries, that so called developed now, have gone through phases of political instability and revolution. I am sure nepal is going through the same phase. It is all about democracy. Every body gets to voice their opinion. But my point is we have not seen an effective leader. Tell me if i am wrong?

How about joining the British Commonwealth ? There will be no need of president or the DHURTHA King and GUNDA Prince. Queen of England will be the head of state where Governor General will represent her as the head of state. Prime minister will be the head of the government of the state and so forth. Just like Canada, Austrialia and other British Commonwealth countries where there are no presidents, the life will go on.

Preeti Rana your are absolutly wrong! :) nepal can never be a developed country at least for another 200 yrs ...y ?? there main reasons: 1 COuntry itself and its situation.. 2 corrupt politicians to corrupt PIUNS 3 cultural boundaries... yes if i become the president that change wont take 200 yrs, thats for certain :)

>>>M.P we have waited long enough . I am not one of those who is pretending. I care about Nepal. I agree that we should come up with a plan . --->I am not doubting your credibility re: your care for Nepal. >>>But isn't that why politicians are here for? --->Yes, but you just said "[these politicians] are all the same. pathetic, coward[, and] hungry for money or power," which means we are talking about an alternative to these leaders here! We are talking about the new, efficient leader, aren't we? And I just wanted you to answer the "How" part. >>> But my point is we have not seen an effective leader. Tell me if i am wrong? ---> No, you are not WRONG, but -- no offence-- you are LATE! [PS: This issue is probably not as trivial as many of us think, and may be not as black-and-white as we would want to. NSU President Gagan was recently thrown out of power by Sushil Koirala. That's the fate of somebody who emerges, or tries to emerge, as a good leader. Coming up with a new leader entails tackling these malaises within the parties and among ourselves, and a social infrastructure that encourages independent thinking, leadership and concern for others. It's a long process. To except to get a good leader overnight is to expect to make Nepal a Singapore overnight --the Maoist dream!]

We do really need a Prez fo Nepal coz das is de best way forward. We can make Kale Kami da forst Prez of de Nepe AAMA. Howeva he need de guiding by de komitee of Masta Kathak Putali Masta like Poonte Damais and odder simple folks. I like kale Kami with his wisdom. He says "Khanda khanda pani ma kunda kunda buddhi". What wisdom do de Nepalese have? What do you say?

Perhaps intelligent people like you and I should come forward and lead the rest. I agree that the so called inefficient politicians have not have had the complete opportunity to work on a full term because of the changes. But why can't they come to agreement with the ongoing problem. ( i mean maoist problem) . These are following things I would do ( I am not a politician , nor do I intend to be, but since you insisted .......), (correct me if I wrong , i like constructive critisim.) 1.Some how come to terms with maoists ( don't ask me how ) 2. WORK ON OUR BUDGET 3 DON'T RELY TOO MUCH ON FOREIGN GRANTS 4 SUBISIDIES TAXES AND LOAN INTEREST FOR SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES 5 WORK TO MAKE PUBLIC SCHOOLS MORE EFFECTIVE AND COMPETETIVE ( BECAUSE CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE OF OUR NATION) 6 STRICT IMPOSITION OF RULES, REGULATIONS, ETC ON EVERY THING ( BE IT TRAFFIC, CRIME, BRIBERY, TAXES ETC) 7EMPHASISE ON EMPOWERING WOMEN ( SUBISIDIES TO NGO'S) AND THE LIST GOES ON. i am sure i will be critised , no matter how good my thoughts. So ahead and attack a simple nepali keti .

Hey isn't it too late for President.. Why do not we have "No--Manzzz" state.. something like liberatarian state.. one can do anything of his/her choice as long as it does not hurt others.. smoke some grass and then run the country... may be cross-country will be good.. what do you think guys.. nepal is a small country.. yeah .. perfect for cross country.. can slide down the hills, swim in floods.. there are too many problems to worry about, and certainly thinking about Presidency is not one of them.. the real problem is " Is Pork ko mashu achaar.. or just a meat." Bindassssssss (a real ass)

my bad. not an ass.. It's like what Ganesh Man Singh (the most venerated Leader of nepal) said: " Kathmandu ko janta.. maane.. bheda hun." If we are lucky our leaders will not make us mashu ko acchar.. mashu itself is easier.. Chill out.. beer with achar..
