Please do not joke or give false information if some one is seeking help. I do not believe there will be Proxy but heard and happens in IT.

He is in Finance and proxy is not going to happen. I know the pain being in finance and I am also trying to get a state / fed government. Any body fakes the resume should be good story teller and able to link with his/her resume. It does not take long to find out what are your credentials once you go through the interview. One Indian fellow recruiter asked me to put people software and forgot to take it out and it cost me the job at Harte Hank Inc.
There are many accounting software ( over 100s) and quickbooks is one of them you can request demo and practice. I practiced on demo and sat on test provided by Accoutemps, scored only 67 (I was scoring 97-100 on Excel did not help but each and every temp agency want us to take excel tests as if this will lead you to a job) Many recruiter will call you just to fulfill their quota like the Wells Fargo employee did to create new customer data, just to get paid. One of assignment was to help on setting up Quick-books. I was advised by the temp agency that never ever show any mistakes that will be big no no and you will be out soon. If they setup accounts wrong it will not provide right numbers and the mistake will be buried and may be never found. I did not care of loosing my assignment but point out the right way to do ? The foreman realized it and did as I said and I did not last that weekdays.
You can registered with Accountemps and take all the tests you can. Accounts Receivable , accounts payable , bookkeeping , finance reporting. I found account payable is a steady job and will last longer but it is hard to get on without prior knowledge. For Account receivable you need to make call for collections. I am bad on that part because I have lend thousands and unable to collect own money and never applied.
You can try to registered with H&R block or liberty tax services for seasonal tax prepare. There is a catch on almost every job, just being smart on your subject matter may not be enough for you to get a job but you need be an excellent salesman. In Tax services , at the end you need to able to close the deal and I always lacked on it. I worked over 6 seasons but not working any more, just helping friends and family.
As you said you are an average student otherwise I would have suggested to try for CPA. One guy used to say that "Ounce of Memory is better than tons of logic" while you sit on CPA test.

I guess you have green card, take some courses from college too meantime take IT training so it helps you to get confidence. American world derived via confidence , one my friend's boss is High school diploma but my friend Master's degree. My experience I worked for small SBE (first job) form by mistake receptionist emailed client saying Mrs Mitez, she was divorced few months ago so she pissed off eventually she terminated. Though she was high school graduated in america. So i recommend you to learn those small things what we never encountered in our education sytem. Good luck

It's never too late to join community college. They all offer various technical programs, I would not have hesitate to join if I have to , still ....

3 yrs bachelor does not recognized here bro, probably some private college may accept you for conditional master's program but they charge tons of money which i don't think , what you looking for. so start from community college get bachelor's and start working meantime you can join master's. regarding the transfer that 3 years courses you can transfer some of them but its entirely depends upon your advisor, department head, college. If you like to jump directly to master's program go Nepal or get admitted to TU (not sure they may have private master no need to attend class) do first year exam (choose easy subject which you feel comfortable) Then you will have 3yrs +1 yrs master's certificate then evaluate from international education research foundation they equivalent it to US bachelor's degree after that Apply for master's program. Decision on your hand...
