Some big games on opening week:

Ravens vs Broncos

What do u think of season opening match?
Who u think gonna win the much anticipated rematch?

Falcons vs Saints
Packers vs 49ers
what do u think of those games and who u think gonna win ?

and tell us abt which game and players u r watching  most in opening week?
If anybody is playing their fantasy league, which players and match ups they r nervously waiting for?

Lets have a nice discussion throughout the season starting now.......

Being a COWBOYS fan, i am really high this year predicting NFC EAST title and playoff trip.

eagerly waiting for yr inputs here fello NFL fans
thank u

Just picked my teams. With that being said I have a lots of questions/confusions around my fantasy draft (I am playing three this year). So I need some plausible and analytical feedback about who to play or bench or swap. All I am asking is, if you are a Cowboys' fan don't hesitate asking me to pick Mike Vick. This is ONLY FOR WEEK 1 AND NOT THE ENTIRE NFL SEASON So here I go -

1. Ravens D vs Arizona D - No brainer right? I mean who'd pick Cards versus the respected Ravens D? But here is the thing, Ravens are playing Manning and Welker, Demariyus and Decker and Arizona is playing Ram's weak Offense. Also Arizona has Patrick Peterson and  Tyrann Matheiu, and they both look VERY GOOD.

2. Danny Amendola vs Kenbrell Thompkins - Danny is not welker, let's get this straight, but he is Brady's favorite this seaon with Gronk ailing and Hernandez jailing, but Danny is injury prone. Now Thompkins could be next wide receiver who could be Brady's pet, he has already been thrown several passes, and he CAUGHT.

3. Antonnio Brown vs Frank Gore - This is in WR or RB ( or W/R) category. Rule of thumb says play a running back and a good one at that, but then Kaepernick can run, and he has two studs in Boldin and Vernon Davis, whereas Ben only has Brown to throw at? Which one shouild I play?

4. Steve Smith vs Hakeem Nicks - I want to play Steve Smith, dude is the only star receiver in that team, but then Victor Cruz is gimpy, will Manning throw to Nicks more than Cam to Smith?

5. Ryan Matthews or Jermane Gresham or Darrn McFadden or Greg Jennings or Lance Moore - This is in WR or RB or TE category (W/R/T). This is overly confusing, I'd like to pick Greg Jennings because not any other name ring a bell, but would swapping RB for a WR with unproven QB advisable?

Serious feedback requested

To answer your questions Obama-

1. Broncos should win, I understand Koppen is done for season and they do not have Dumerville and Champ Bailey, but they have added welker in the mix of their WRs. As far as Ravens go, I never could trust Flacco, and they have Pitta out and Boldin traded and even when Dumerville can be a threat, they don't have Ray Ray and Ed Reed.

2. My heart bleeds as I say this but 49ers look much much much better than Packers. They have a defense who are going to harrass Bulaga less O line, they have a QB that can run, they have Boldin even when Crabtree is injured.

3. Saints all the way. Never trusted Falcons in high profile games, they choke.

Thanks behoove and kiddo behoove, let me share my views regarding yr questions. I would start Arizona defense rather than baltimores. D/ST is not going to give u consistent points throughout the season. So it is more of match-ups play than a well-known defense. Lots of analysts r high on Arizona defense so I would take a chance with them in 1st week than facing payton and co. at mile high. Danny Amendola vs Kenbrell Thompkins : first, I would not draft 2 WRS from same team. Now, if u have done so then, start danny every week until he proves u wrong. Thompkins sure performed better in preseason in absence of Danny but I wont be high on undrafted rookie to outperform danny. Get high on Danny bcoz Randy moss had a breakout season with Brady on his first year with pats in 2007 which was followed by inglorious spygate scandal. Antonnio Brown vs Frank Gore: start brown. He is the first choice for the Ben. Gore is the 4th option behind kapernick, davis and boldin. The last one is straight for me. I would start Matthews every week if he is healthy. Jennings got ponder to ponder about. McFadden has Oakland curse. Brees spreads the ball around so u don't know lance will get a chance to sniff or not. Gresham is TE. why would u start a TE if u can start RB/Wr instead. BTW, I did not know there r leagues with such options. Well, I have Danny and brown on my starting line up for this week. I could be biased on my opinion for them. good Luck and keep discussion alive.

well, missed one of yr questions, behoove,

start Hakeem nicks instead steve smith. Giants-cowboys rivalary these days is a heavvy scoring one. Nicks will have more chances as victor cruz is iffy. Steve Smith is a lone target vs Seahawaks cornerbacks and safeties. Seahawaks are playing early sunday game in east coast but still aint gonna be a shoot-out.

Manning throws 7 Touchdowns while Ray Rice is limited to 36 yards.... .....and imbecile, pompous, accidental hall of famer Michael Irvin still insists Dez Bryant will be the MVP this season. I am not a hater but I want to throw up everytime I hear Michael Irvin speaks. (If someone does not understand what this means, the football season trash talk has officially begun

Just dropped Lance Moore, Shane Vereen and Lamar Miller from all three Fantasy leagues and added Julius Thomas, can't believe that monster was still a Free agent after last night's explosion.

Some takeaways from yesterday's game-

- Kaepernick is a real deal, no doubt about that but could he be as real if Boldin is contained? Think about this, they have a new addition in Boldin who is coming off superbowl high, and Nnamdi who has always been a formidable secondary all his career. As compared to that, Packers were all banged up, with Bulaga gone and Bakhtiari expected to contain Aldon Smith seemed like a pie in the sky. Cobb and Jordi were both coming off injuries and were expected to have a bleak performance against red and gold. But I am glad it didn't turn out that way, Packers fought till the end and their defense needs a standing ovation on run defense. and at one point had a scary lead of 4. The question is, can 9ers repeat the same at road? And everytime?

- Brady was sloppy, he might be an astute quarterback who has all rings and blings, but he falls short when compared to Manning. Departure of welker and injuriy of Gronk established that. Remember, Manning took the worst team on his shoulders when he joined Colts and never looked back, Brady had all men from Bill Parcell's era to win the superbowl, and that evil coach Belichick.

- Falcons are chokers, they always choke in big games and win over minnows. Their loss to Saints made that fact evident. But again, Brees wasn't as sharp either.

- Pittsburgh loss was a remote possibility, but it came true yesterday, but can Titans keep the momentum?

- Carolina's defense was better than I thought. Marshawn Lynch was a dissappointment.

- I am going to drop David Wilson's ass, he made me lose.

- Chicago looked good in the papers, but they weren't as comfortable in win.

2nd week is up guys...make yr picks

Kiddo, u r the man of first week.

Not many interesting match-ups this week as compared to opening week.
Manning Bowl and 49ers vs hawks look interesting

Behoove,
I am not gonna agree with yr comparisons between P. Manning and Tom Brady. Both of them r all time greats. As great Vince Lombardi said once 'If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?' , winning and rings and championship matters. Brady has lot better records of winning the championships.

Well enjoy the football fellas

Let Kapernick face a legitimate defense this week at one of the most hostile venues in NFL.... we will see !!!!

That's right! Now the challenge is to stay on top next week which is going to be even harder.

How about Kape vs Russ? These two QBs have placed a bet that the loser shaves an eyebrow this weekend. While I think 49ers look like a better team and I do like them, I have to support Seahawks on this one. Not saying who I will pick yet.

If Seahawks struggled against Carolina's defense, they are likely to buckle under San Fran. Remember that Packers' D had been smoldering all this time to get their hands on Kapernick and they actually did a great job against run, but Kaepernick still prevailed. Agreed that Packers' secondaries aren't as great as Richard Sherman but then just one person shouldn't make a huge difference, Also, Packers had a really good corner in Tramon WIlliams too.

San Fran are well coached team, they are physical, no nonsense and they hit hard. I believe Seattle is going to lose.
