Anyone knows if Qatar airways provides free hotel accommodation at Doha airport if transit time is  8+ hours.  I went to their web and say eligible itinerary are provided hotel free of charge but does not explain what eligible itinerary is and what is not.  My flight is from Washington Dulles (IAD)- Doha- KTM in Qatar with 9 hours transit time in Doha. 

 

 12/12 hr ta kurchi ma sutiyo.. jabo 9 hr ko tetro pir  But u get free meal (kukurako masu bhat ) though..

Once you check with the airlines,  they will drive to you a motel ( it is not hotel),  you will get गास बास दुवै |
It is not sure you will get a single room, it may be a kind of suite and one of the room had attach bath and lock system.

 I think it all depends upon how the travel agency purchased the ticket from the airlines. If you've purchased the ticket from U.S Travel agency than i doubted. It's always better to ask some personale there at the airport. 

1.  I had used this service while returning back from Kathmandu 2 years ago.
2. You need to request this in advance, otherwise you will not get it. Requesting in airport will not work.
3. I had requested it through Qatar Airways office in Jaya Nepal Cinema Hall in Kathmandu. It took around 3 days to get confirmation.
4. I had bought the ticket through the Qatar Airlines' website directly.
5. After I checked in the airport, they stamped my passport and I was allowed to go out to hotel via a shuttle. Hotel was nice one...

6. Check with Airlines. I do not think it has anything to do how ticket was purchased unless rules are changed.

 I got free accomodation through qatar airways but it was back in 2007. What I did was when I reached doha, I reached their counter and got transit visa, and told me to wait outside  the airport for the shuttle. It was a nice hotel, may be better than 5 star hotel of nepal. 

Thank you all for your comments.  I'll try to call Qatar airways.  BTY I got my ticket from Orbitz.com.  Does it make any difference?
