Our petition at Change.org (http://www.change.org/petitions/government-of-federal-democratic-republic-of-nepal-ministry-of-forest-be-transparent-about-the-proposed-amendment-to-forest-act-of-1993) asking Nepali government to be more transparent regarding amendment to the Forest Act 1993 gathered 70 signatures. We are proud to be a part of very important debate regarding transparency within Government and the people's right to information.
As you know, Nepali government is in the process of amending the Forest Act 1993. So far concerned groups and local communities who would be directly affected by the changes have been sidelined and their concerns have not been properly address.
Our only request is that a process as crucial as amending an Act be inclusive, transparent and responsible towards the public.
