you dont need any transit visa in Moscow. You will have 2 hour technical stop in moscow, where you have to get out of the plane and wait in the transit room. Make sure, you have your boarding pass with you, as it will be required. You need to collect transit pass in Moscow, which will be given to you by airline crew, after you get out of the flight.

You have to go through the security check again in Moscow though.

In singapore, if you want to go out, then you can get visa at the airport, after you show your boarding pass and passport. Make sure you get the boarding pass to whereever you are going (I assume to Nepal) and you will get visa. The visa will be good for 30 days from the day of stamp.  If you want to stay in singapore, Reserve the hotel before you reach to singapore. It will be cheaper. It will be even cheaper, if you book via Singapore Airlines. They have some sort of package in their website.

I didnot book the hotel before hand, and I had to pay some bucks to be in good hotel.

Sanju,
I always wanted to go to Moscow. I finally got some vacation time to burn, so I am going there for a week and another week in Singapore. I am not going to Nepal at this time. May be in March before I move to next job.

and yes it was cheap too. About $1100 for the whole trip ... Usually Singapore airlines cost $1900 for the same flight, there is some deal going on with Singapore Airlines and Emirates for December.
