Hi Guys!
I need advise from expert for the following my case;
I have recently filed for myself, my wife's I-485/I-765/I-131 and for my son under 14 years I-485 and I131 under EB2 category. Last week I got 8 I-797C, Notice of Action letters with receipt numbers on those. USCIS returned all my docments to the Lawyer saying that reason;
"The check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided. Please review the form instruction of fee information.Please resubmit the application/petition package with fee to the USCIS address listed on the bottom of this notice"
I asked my lawyer what check he sent. He told me that he sent $1070.00 each for me and my wife and $635.00 for my son. He also said that is the correct amount, and confused why they sent documents back.
If anybody had faced same issue before, or recently, could you please share with me. Experts from Sajha! can you give me any idea what should be the check and how many checks should be there?

The amount stated by your Lawyer is correct. Based on USCIS notice it seems there might be error on the checks or insufficient money in the account. As you dont know the check details, only Lawyer knows what went wrong with the checks.
Good luck!

it was 1070 when i filed by cases few months ago.
have your lawyer call uscis to confirm the filing fees and resend it again. i have known few cases that were returned even when they were filed with correct fee amount. they receive lot of cases so might be some error.

If you file I131 and I765 in conjunction with I485, you dont need to pay the fees for those two forms. I think you filed them alltogether. For you child, it's $635 all fees were raised in Nov 2010.

Thanks Stat.
I called to Lawyer today. He also said same thing. If we file package (131,485, and 765) together we don't need to sent separate checks. Only during time of renewal we have to sent separate checks. May be he did some mistake while writing checks. But he was saying checks were correct and he doesn't know either why they returned all the documents. This time he has written one letter to the supervisior while resending docs. Lets hope for positive this time.

Grad_School,
Thanks for your comments. I called my lawyer, he was saying the amount and checks he sent were correct. He didn't call USCIS, rather he sent one latter to them, asking about return of the documents. He was assuming, they did mistake from their side.
