I phone guru's I need help to unlock my iphone 3g with 4.2.1. I have seen the video youtube but I need the file called redsnow_win0.9beta 6 . I have gone to DEV team blog  but can't that file .

 Seems like you have updated your baseband to 05.15.04 which is still unlockable. If you have baseband 05.14.02 or 05.15.04 then to unlock, you have to install ipad basebad (you will loose GPS functionality ...first read the concequences in the link as well).

jailbreak me does not work anymore, iphone has patched the adobe issue.  for 4 21 you can use greenpoison and if you have 4.3 u can do a tethered jailbreak I havent tried bhakte dais link...but looks promising..give it a shot..  before all that back up all ur stuff on itunes...

I have gone through the iclarified but ......Download RedSn0w from here and place it in the Pwnage folder. Likewise, download the latest 4.2.1 firmware from below and place it in the same folder.  if click here  it doesn't show the link to download the redsnow_win0.9beta 6. it says

If you are refering to my post, and saying you did not understand then let me clearify it more precisely. If you have hands on unlocking and jailbreaking iphone 4 then let me know I have couple of my friends waiting to get it done. This way you will earn $7 per phone. Hope you clearly got what I said.

There is NO Software Unlock for iPhone 4 on 2.10 Bb and up as of yet. The was recently a permanent unlock for sale for any baseband until recently ($175.00) but that service is no longer available because the way they were doing it was by hacking into Apple's database..which i am guessing caught on. So, as of now, the only option to unlock an iphone 4 on baseband 2.10 and up is using a GEVEY SIM, which also has some legal implications attached to it. if you plan on getting one, DO YOUR HOMEWORK on it. most places have that for around $70 but a site i use to get my iphone parts was selling it for $25 (don't easily trust eBay). I did order one a couple of days ago but haven't received it yet. Will give it a try and see how legit it is and post updates on it.

 hey body its pretty simple. Download iphone fimware 4.2.1 and redsnow beta 6. Run the redsnow beta 6 and load firmware from redsnow. if your laptop is quad core processor then run task manager and go to the process. You will see a process running redsnow, right click on that you will see "process affinity" click on that and choose any only one processor among one then close that. Again go to the redsnow and click next and do not forget to choose iphad base band and two other check box which already checked there. Then run DFDU mode (Actually redsnow shows you the steps there). After sometimes, the iphone reboots 2-3 times and downloads the custom firmware to the iphone and reboots final time. Then you will see cyndia installed on it. go to the manage->resources and you will see repo for ultrasnow click on that and install, your iphone is ready for go.

but here goes the prolem 

it says fetching Ipad baseband(please be pateint) .....

i have waited for half and hr but it doesn't show anything.  What is wrong ....should I try another method ?

 For that problem of fetching ipadbasebad follow the following steps before browsing the firmware
1. Open the redsnow first time.
2. Run the taskmanager and find the process for redsnow.
3. Right click on that, go to the process affinity and you will see 4 processor running on that cpu0,...cpu3.
4. Check only cpu0 and uncheck any others.
5. Then continue redsnow browsing firmware, DFDu etc

If any problem fell free to contact.

1. if your system is Windows 7 run the redsn0w in windows XP (SP3) mode !!
2. try on different computer 
3. even different cable ! 
4. press the power button for 3 seconds if it takes longer than 10 minutes
