It is not about being nice to people. Ashok was more than nice, I mean most customer liked him reading the postings and the the news clip. He did NOT even have the time to think. It appears the guy shot him right after he entered, may be even from the back, probably did not even say the usual "Give me the money". If true, there is no precaution we can take if you work in those places. It is just luck. The only thing we can do is avoid those places for employment esp if the neighbour has Kaaleys. Some race are bound to be hated beacuse of few who repeatdly kill innocent people for no reason.

What a sad news!!!!!!!!! MAy his soul rest in peace and please all nepali peopl contribute whaever you can to help send Ashok to his parents as they wish. It is dificult but we all can do it together.
I hope the police will be able to catch the shooter and may he rott in jail for rest of his life. Lethal injection is too kind for him. He needs to rott in the jail and wish for the death every moment of his live.

I could not help my own eyes from getting wet after the video. The numbness has overtaken the mixed emotion that was running throuhg my body. It is just sad n depressing to see such an awesome man getting killed. Adding to the irony is the fact that he was here to pursue his dreams, in hopes of a better life, for him , for his family, and probably for the whole of Nepal, just like many of us here.
I do not talk about any grand plans, or going straight towards the government about federal loans, or not comng to the US, but the only request i have to all the fellows in the same shoes is to avoid gas station jobs, or any other risky jobs for that matter. US is a great place, one can achieve limitless things under the American sky, do not risk the things that you could have achieved by working in gas stations. There are many alternatives, safer alternatives, try going to the hospitality business, hotels/motels: easy work, not so bad pay, on top u get to study at work.....work as servers, great pay n great for students, try call centre jobs, try working in a mall...
I am in dallas n have been here for past couple of years and i have worked the entire stay in a hotel as a front desk clerk, n it is great, believe me....i have gone through a lot of similar news and many in my neighborhood...n though it still hurts to see another friends dreams and body get shattered in a blink, i do not want to be adapted to the news...
Dont take my words for it, go try a different job, n save urself a life, ur life.
