I have been approved for Canadian greencard but I would like to come back to USA as I have an H1B for another 2 years. I donot want to give up the canadian Greencard also. I am planning to apply for US visa once I get to canada after doing all of my paperwork for GC. I am going there just to get the GC right now and plan to come back to US.
Anyone had similer experience? I heard that these days they don't give you your Canadian Greencard if they find out that you are not going to stay there. Will they find out if you fly back to USA? Can anyone help me with this situation. I would like to know if going by plane would make the situation easy or travelling by car is better? How long does it take to get the final document once you land there. Please help me with some suggestions.......

To get PR card appro two months and SIN number about two weeks; however, you can leave someone's address to get those documents should be any problem. It used be you have to be in Canada two years within five years and you should get in once in every six months, but you should check on http://cic.gc.ca to make sure you are following cic's policy.

Angalo,
Thanks for the info. I heard that if you put some one else's address and come back, then somehow they find it out and don't mail the PR card on the address. Is that true?
When I return back, how do should I return? By plane or by car, any suggestions?
