One of the Consulting Firm Sponsored my H1B this and I already got approval.  Currently, I am working as a contactor thru that consulting firm to a Company. Recently, my company offered me a permanent position. However, I have got no clue that will I be able to transfer my H1b to that company or not. I am in OPT now.

Please Suggest

Yes, U should. And there is very simple way to do this. Even your Consulting Firm will not come to know about this. Another thing, You are in OPT so there is nothing that they can do about it. They cannot hold you since your H1B doesn't start till October.

I suggest you to make move very quick. Otherwise, they will suck very bit out of u . Looks like you are new to business, like many of us. (5 years of experince, 2 months of boot-camp training, get through consulting company, give half of the earnings to those people).

Anyway best of luck, think smart and think twice

You need to request for revoking your H1b and start working on OPT.If not you have to wait until October First.I am not a lawyer. Please contact Immigration Lawyer to make sure.

Database u r right. Since he is not officially on h1b till Octobe, u have to wait. But I think , since now we can extend our OPT for another 17 months. Just talk to ur Employyee about it in a way that they don't come to know that u r just fresh graduate and ur mor ethan 5 years of expiernce was fake.

Or just wait till October and then ask your employeer to help you trnsafer ur h1b.

losforword !!

one thing if your consulting firm gives u some problem , make sure u bounch back to them. if u have signed paper to saty for 1 year. thats nothing, legally they cannot do or make force you to stay there.

so wait till october and then talk to ur employeer. Don't give ur hard earned money to any suckers.

Tyhanks
