Hey alltheway,
A quick information for you, BOA (student card) gave me $3000 of credit limit with 0% APR for 1 year while Citi (Student card) has given me just $1000 with 0% APR for 6months when I applied on the same time. Also, balance transfer fee of BOA is totally free for 1 year.
I dunno why BOA sncks for you.

I recommend you guys to go for BOA card as it is at 0% APR for a whole year compared to 6 months for Citi card. But balance transfer is not totally free of cost. BOA charges 3% of the transferred fund (with $75 at maximum). Regarding credit limit too, BOA is not bad .
