Hi, I am starting a job in Chicago August 17th and am in immidiate need of a room. If you have a room for rent, anywhere in or around Chicago, and close to public transit let me know. I do have a car so parking would be good too, street parking is fine as well. I posted this in a different part of the forum and got no response, so posting in the main forum, sorry about that. Even if you dont have a room, I would like to make some friends in Chicago, as I dont know anyone there and will be moving soon. I'm 26 male working in the IT industry. Email me: dbhatta007@yahoo.com Thanks Deepak

Hi, Thanks for your replies. I dont' need to live downton, in fact I think I want to avoid downtown. I have a car and parking can be an issue downtown. I just need to be close to the train, maybe 20-30mins from downtown via public transit. I dont know Chicago so I can't say I want to live here, anywhere would be okay for me. My job will have me goto different client locations, I'm going to be in Clark & Lake for the initial orientation, and training then off to different client locations. Email me if you have questions or a room. Thanks Deepak dbhatta007@yahoo.com

I agree with you, blame india. I lived in 27th & michigan ave for a yr, in a apt building full of black people, but never experienced like what casino is saying. You can get 1 BR apt @ around 800 (not more than 850), for sure. I donno whether Deepak is interested or not. If you work in and around downtown, it may be the best location to live, atleast for the new-commers.

i also work in downtown but i live in suburb. you don't get good apartment for cheaper price in downtown. good apartments like presidential towers are very very expensive where single bedroom cost around 1200. if you live in some crappy one with window ac which was built in 1920, you get it for really cheap price. so think about it. if you have car, u don't have to live in downtown. live somewhere close to metra or cta train station and your problem will be solved.

Shut the Hell up man! Hey Deepak Do NOT listen to these People. If u do wanna a really Nepali Community then I would Suggest you Apartments in Sheridan road n Bryn Mawr. this area is close to Red Line trains and it's priety white neighborhood. Do Not live in Suburbs man. I've been to all 'urbs of chicago n they do really suck.

affordable apartments in sheridian drive sucks big time. if you put three cubes of you office then that will be single bed over there. hallway stinks. and even kitchen and bed room will be too small without ac coz most of those appartments dont have central ac system.yes offcourse there are some really nice appartment but they are really really expensive, around 1100 for single bed. you can go to rent.com or www.forrent.com and check those out. since you have a car, it wont be problem if you live away from city. thats just my thought.
