U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued instructions for filing Forms I-140 and I-485 directly at the service center that will process the forms. The instructions also address filing locations for Form I-907 requests for premium processing of the immigrant petition and applications for ancillary benefits related to the applications for adjustment of status (Form I-131 Applications for Travel Documents and Form I-765 Applications for Employment Authorization), as well as Forms I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiancé(e)) and I-360 (Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant). GRACE PERIOD THROUGH AUGUST 28

Effective July 30, 2007, these forms must be filed directly at the service center that will process the filings. USCIS will provide for a grace period through August 28 that allows cases to be filed in accordance with current procedures, but beginning August 29, 2007, cases that are not submitted to the correct filing location will be rejected and returned.

FILING LOCATIONS FOR FORMS I-140, I-485 AND RELATED FORMS

Forms I-140, I-485 and related forms I-907, I-765 and I-131 will be filed at either the Nebraska Service Center or the Texas Service Center. The filing locations are determined geographically based on the place of employment (for Forms I-140 and accompanying Forms I-907) or place of residence (for Forms I-485 and accompanying Forms I-765 and I-131).

The press release date is June 21, 2007. That means it's not valid anymore, .....????

If I am not wrong the web site you have given is from june 21. and the filling date is changed in july 2nd. so try to give correct information in this pain time dude.

labor permit seems very agressive towards santosh jee. Santosh jee has been providing very core information to the community. You labopermit, only solicit the information and ask to email you and trap em. You work for money while he works for nothing. Don't point out the small mistake. Really? LaborPerm is basically a dick then? wow, how unfortunate. I wonder why would he charge, and could not work for free. The information provided yesterday is just a relay of message I received from AILA, which is not open to public but only to American Immigration Lawyers Association.

It is assumed that the GC processing will be announced anytime just to avoid the class action law suit against USCIS and DOS.

The filing period is going to be provided as a grace period.

Yesterday, we also had a teleconference with USCIS and DOS regarding this matter along with several immigration attorneys.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE INFORMATION POSTED YESTERDAY AS THE FINAL AND ULTIMATE NOTICE OF USCIS.

I will keep you posted immediately once I hear something.

It means they will publish new visa bulletin and make all EB category current. Is it possible to do that without any visa numbers. If it is true than that's a good news.

The annual cap of EB categories seems to be met for this year. However, they seem to be intimidated by the class action issue and number of stakeholders.

I would not like to comment at this point!

From Core : A HUGE Development likely in next 24 Hours

Immigration Voice core has learned from that something is likely to happen in next 24 hours (or Monday) possibly to fix the issues caused by recent visa bulletin.

We have been told not to divulge details of this development.

All we can say as of now is that :

1). The solution will be announced in next 24 hours or on Monday.
2). The solution is not going to be a change in visa bulletin of July. The bulletin will most likely stay as-is. This is not about August bulletin either.
3). This fix will be of a more permenant nature and this idea has been highly popular in this community in the past.

IV has been working very hard on this and we will be very happy if this effort comes through. It will be a major victory for each and every member of this IV community.

USCIS Updates.

What is the processing time for I 485 and Green Card? My friend had his filed on June 11; but has not heard from the USCIS yet.

Is this delay typical or unique? What are the processes and times for each to be complete?

Any information, plz?
