I'm trying to transfer to one of the colleges mentioned above for 3rd year architecture next year.

Which one do you recommend??? or others???

what are you looking for btw and where are you studying at present? Penn State sounds good.....try University of Wisconsin, Madison.......

studying bachelor of architecture (5 yrs)... m leaning more towards northeast, primarily because of the architecture over there and NYC.....

well, Cornell, harvard college of design and MIT.........like I said Penn State is also very good for architecture. pratt Institute is also good for architecture if NY is where you wanna be....I'm just curious where are you currently studying and why do you want to transfer? By now you must have known how tough architecture is.......so try and go to a place where you can get through it with a peace of mind, instead of thinking of a place with good history of architecture or a big city. Chicago is the best place to feel what architecture is.......

I strongly recommend Penn State Univ - University Park. Penn State is a very good University and if you've got the decision from Penn State then you should readily transfer to this University.

i transferred to NDSU for good and they made me start from the scratch since Architecure over here is so competetive...when i shoulda been a junior...so betta watch out if u wanna transfer as an architect major...

sbrat: right now, i m attending woodbury university (small private college in Los Angeles). i want to transfer to nyc because i always wanted to move there. the city has everything i need; beautiful architecture, culture, people, and that's where i want to start my career after college. i also m not liking l.a that much, it's not inspiring at ALL!!!... yes, i do know that architecture is tough and COMPETITIVE!!! thats why i'm not thinking about other colleges like columbia, cornell, mit, upenn... ya, i was thinking about IIT...

tooarmy: lets see how my portfolio will look next year... it's all about the portfolio in architecture and 3.0 gpa =D....

confused??: are you doing b.arch??? well, i'm only going to attend another college if they accept my credits from this college because i don't want two years and shit load of money go to waste. i will survive architecture no matter what because this is my passion and it has been my dream since i was a kid...
