brother dont mean to be rude but this list of top ten rockers really made me laugh yeah a amateur listner to rock would probably agree to the list but if u are a hardcore rock fan then the list is not satisfactory i consider pink floyd tobe the best rock band ever in the world and they deserve to be in the first place YOU KNOW ITS PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC THAT HAS BEEN KEPT IN A SATELLITE LAUNCHED BY NASA AND AIMED TO BE SET CONTACT WITH ALIENS....so just think here.......and i have my own list of top ten rock bands ever lets see how many agree with me

Yours look better, but I wouldnt give "black sabbath" a top two spot. And Beatles deserver a spot on the list too.

The title for the thread should be My favorite Rock Bands instead. Because the top best ten list is not going to be a one-size-fits-all kind of solution.

Rock music used to be more of rowdyism. Pink floyd brought art to it. Beatles brought melody to it. Led Zeppelin brought depth to it. Kurt Cobain mixed the madness of rock to the simplicity of an acoustic guitar. DeF Leppard brought style. The list goes on: Metallica, Pearl Jam,..............

I started rock music with Nirvana. Then moved onto all other bands and singers. But years after, I haved started liking Kurt Cobain more than anyone else. It was after I heard Kurt in an interview say "There has been no hard rockers who people will equally accept in a acoustic guitar. I want to become that hard rocker who people remember both as a rodwy performer with a electric guitar as well as a low lying guy with an acoustic guitar."

Go Kurt, you have done it.
