Maoist spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara along with a number of SPA leaders today left for London to attend an NRN conference.

Talking to journalists at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), Mahara – who is also the coordinator of Maoist talks team - said they would discuss "the role that can be played by Non Resident Nepalis in the socio-economic development of Nepal."

Mahara is accompanied by Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Ram Chandra Poudel, NC (Democratic) spokesperson Dr. Minendra Rijal, Speaker and leader of Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) Subas Nemwang, People's Front (PF) leader Shashi Shrestha and Janajati leader Dr. Om Gurung.

WHO IS TAKING CARE OF THE EXPENCES? NON RESIDENT NEPALESE HAVE BEEN ASKING SPA AND MAOISTS TO GIVE UP CORRUPTIONS AND ARMS FIRST. HAVE THEY DONE THAT YET? NO. NOW WHAT OTHER SOCIO-ECONOMIC TOPIC IS IMPORTANT THAN THE MANAGEMENTS OF ARMS,ERADICATION OF CORRUPTION AT THIS TIME? WHO STUPID NEPALES ARE GOING TO INVEST IN NEPAL RIGHT NOW? DO THEY THINK NRN ARE STUPID? I UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGAGEMENT POLICY BUT THE ENGAGEMENT PROCESS HAS BEEN GOING ON IN NEPAL. WHY THEY HAVE TO COME TO UK TO GET ENGAGED? AS USUAL, THIS CONFERENCE IS ANOTHER ACT OF NONSENSE.

there is no use for calling any conference before the peace is established. there is no use of calling these people. we have heard enough of their dreams of making nepal. its their deeds that counts. its time to work not make useless conferences that makes no sense

1. What on earth these leaders are doing in London when they should really be doing ''homework'' for the next SPA-maoists dialogue back in Nepal...I'm sure they'll ask for more time again for 'homework' when the next stage of talks comes around.

2. No surprise that selfish bastards at NRN who only care about dual citizenship and their influence in nepalese politics have decided to invite these leaders at this time. If they're really for the betterment of the country, why can't they see that this isn't the right time to invite leaders for parties in london.

3. How come NRN's suddenly inviting political leaders and even maoists to their programs? When the king was in power, weren't the same people shouting that NRN should stay completely out of politics?
